1 S alva, oh SEÑOR, porque se acabaron los misericordiosos; porque se han acabado los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

2 M entira habla cada uno con su prójimo con labios lisonjeros; con corazón doble hablan.

They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

3 T ale el SEÑOR todos los labios lisonjeros; la lengua que habla grandezas,

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

4 q ue dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos; nuestros labios están con nosotros, ¿quién nos es señor?

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who lord over us?

5 P or la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos, ahora me levantaré, dice el SEÑOR: Yo pondré en salvo al que el impío enlaza.

Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set in safety, at whom they puff.

6 L as palabras del SEÑOR son palabras limpias, como plata refinada en horno de tierra, colada siete veces.

The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 T ú, SEÑOR, los guardarás; guárdalos para siempre de esta generación.

Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 C ercando andan los malos, entre tanto los más viles de los hijos de los hombres son exaltados.

The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
