1 S alva, oh Jehová, porque se acabaron los piadosos; Porque han desaparecido los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

2 H abla mentira cada uno con su prójimo; Hablan con labios lisonjeros, y con doblez de corazón.

They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

3 J ehová destruirá todos los labios lisonjeros, Y la lengua que habla jactanciosamente;

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

4 A los que han dicho: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos; Nuestros labios son nuestros; ¿quién es señor de nosotros?

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who lord over us?

5 P or la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos, Ahora me levantaré, dice Jehová; Pondré en salvo al que por ello suspira.

Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set in safety, at whom they puff.

6 L as palabras de Jehová son palabras limpias, Como plata refinada en horno de tierra, Purificada siete veces.

The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 T ú, Jehová, los guardarás; De esta generación los preservarás para siempre.

Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 C ercando andan los malos, Cuando la vileza es exaltada entre los hijos de los hombres.

The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
