1 E n el año que murió el rey Uzías vi yo al Señor sentado sobre un trono alto y sublime, y sus faldas llenaban el templo.

In the year of the death of king Uzziah, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.

2 P or encima de él había serafines; cada uno tenía seis alas; con dos cubrían sus rostros, con dos cubrían sus pies, y con dos volaban.

Seraphim were standing above him: each had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he flew.

3 Y el uno al otro daba voces, diciendo: Santo, santo, santo, Jehová de los ejércitos; toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.

And one called to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!

4 Y los quiciales de las puertas se estremecieron con la voz del que clamaba, y la casa se llenó de humo.

And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 E ntonces dije:!! Ay de mí! que soy muerto; porque siendo hombre inmundo de labios, y habitando en medio de pueblo que tiene labios inmundos, han visto mis ojos al Rey, Jehová de los ejércitos.

And I said, Woe unto me! for I am undone; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

6 Y voló hacia mí uno de los serafines, teniendo en su mano un carbón encendido, tomado del altar con unas tenazas;

And one of the seraphim flew unto me, and he had in his hand a glowing coal, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar;

7 y tocando con él sobre mi boca, dijo: He aquí que esto tocó tus labios, y es quitada tu culpa, y limpio tu pecado.

and he made it touch my mouth, and said, Behold, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin expiated.

8 D espués oí la voz del Señor, que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces respondí yo: Heme aquí, envíame a mí.

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? And I said, Here am I; send me.

9 Y dijo: Anda, y di a este pueblo: Oíd bien, y no entendáis; ved por cierto, mas no comprendáis.

And he said, Go; and thou shalt say unto this people, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive.

10 E ngruesa el corazón de este pueblo, y agrava sus oídos, y ciega sus ojos, para que no vea con sus ojos, ni oiga con sus oídos, ni su corazón entienda, ni se convierta, y haya para él sanidad.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and healed.

11 Y yo dije: ¿Hasta cuándo, Señor? Y respondió él: Hasta que las ciudades estén asoladas y sin morador, y no haya hombre en las casas, y la tierra esté hecha un desierto;

And I said, Lord, how long? And he said, Until the cities be wasted, without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land become an utter desolation,

12 h asta que Jehová haya echado lejos a los hombres, y multiplicado los lugares abandonados en medio de la tierra.

and Jehovah have removed men far away, and the solitude be great in the midst of the land.

13 Y si quedare aún en ella la décima parte, ésta volverá a ser destruida; pero como el roble y la encina, que al ser cortados aún queda el tronco, así será el tronco, la simiente santa.

But a tenth part shall still be therein, and it shall return and be eaten; as the terebinth and as the oak whose trunk after the felling: the holy seed shall be the trunk thereof.
