1 D e manera que yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en Cristo.

And I, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ.

2 O s di a beber leche, y no vianda; porque aún no erais capaces, ni sois capaces todavía,

I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;

3 p orque aún sois carnales; pues habiendo entre vosotros celos, contiendas y disensiones, ¿no sois carnales, y andáis como hombres?

for ye are yet carnal. For whereas among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?

4 P orque diciendo el uno: Yo ciertamente soy de Pablo; y el otro: Yo soy de Apolos, ¿no sois carnales?

For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are ye not men?

5 ¿ Qué, pues, es Pablo, y qué es Apolos? Servidores por medio de los cuales habéis creído; y eso según lo que a cada uno concedió el Señor.

Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each.

6 Y o planté, Apolos regó; pero el crecimiento lo ha dado Dios.

I have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase.

7 A sí que ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega, sino Dios, que da el crecimiento.

So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase.

8 Y el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa; aunque cada uno recibirá su recompensa conforme a su labor.

But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 P orque nosotros somos colaboradores de Dios, y vosotros sois labranza de Dios, edificio de Dios.

For we are God's fellow-workmen; ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

10 C onforme a la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada, yo como perito arquitecto puse el fundamento, y otro edifica encima; pero cada uno mire cómo sobreedifica.

According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

11 P orque nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo.

For other foundation can no man lay besides that which laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Y si sobre este fundamento alguno edificare oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, hojarasca,

Now if any one build upon foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,

13 l a obra de cada uno se hará manifiesta; porque el día la declarará, pues por el fuego será revelada; y la obra de cada uno cuál sea, el fuego la probará.

the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.

14 S i permaneciere la obra de alguno que sobreedificó, recibirá recompensa.

If the work of any one which he has built upon shall abide, he shall receive a reward.

15 S i la obra de alguno se quemare, él sufrirá pérdida, si bien él mismo será salvo, aunque así como por fuego.

If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through fire.

16 ¿ No sabéis que sois templo de Dios, y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros?

Do ye not know that ye are temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

17 S i alguno destruyere el templo de Dios, Dios le destruirá a él; porque el templo de Dios, el cual sois vosotros, santo es.

If any one corrupt the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

18 N adie se engañe a sí mismo; si alguno entre vosotros se cree sabio en este siglo, hágase ignorante, para que llegue a ser sabio.

Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.

19 P orque la sabiduría de este mundo es insensatez para con Dios; pues escrito está: El prende a los sabios en la astucia de ellos.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness.

20 Y otra vez: El Señor conoce los pensamientos de los sabios, que son vanos.

And again, Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

21 A sí que, ninguno se gloríe en los hombres; porque todo es vuestro:

So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours.

22 s ea Pablo, sea Apolos, sea Cefas, sea el mundo, sea la vida, sea la muerte, sea lo presente, sea lo por venir, todo es vuestro,

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours;

23 y vosotros de Cristo, y Cristo de Dios.

and ye Christ's, and Christ God's.
