1 G rande es Jehová, y digno de ser en gran manera alabado En la ciudad de nuestro Dios, en su monte santo.

Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the hill of his holiness.

2 H ermosa provincia, el gozo de toda la tierra, Es el monte de Sion, a los lados del norte, La ciudad del gran Rey.

Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 E n sus palacios Dios es conocido por refugio.

God is known in her palaces as a high fortress.

4 P orque he aquí los reyes de la tierra se reunieron; Pasaron todos.

For behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together;

5 Y viéndola ellos así, se maravillaron, Se turbaron, se apresuraron a huir.

They saw,—so they marvelled; they were troubled, they fled in consternation:

6 L es tomó allí temblor; Dolor como de mujer que da a luz.

Trembling took hold upon them there; anguish, as of a woman in travail.

With an east wind thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

8 C omo lo oímos, así lo hemos visto En la ciudad de Jehová de los ejércitos, en la ciudad de nuestro Dios; La afirmará Dios para siempre. Selah

As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God: God doth establish it for ever. Selah.

9 N os acordamos de tu misericordia, oh Dios, En medio de tu templo.

We have thought, O God, of thy loving-kindness, in the midst of thy temple.

10 C onforme a tu nombre, oh Dios, Así es tu loor hasta los fines de la tierra; De justicia está llena tu diestra.

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 S e alegrará el monte de Sion; Se gozarán las hijas de Judá Por tus juicios.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 A ndad alrededor de Sion, y rodeadla; Contad sus torres.

Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof;

13 C onsiderad atentamente su antemuro, Mirad sus palacios; Para que lo contéis a la generación venidera.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 P orque este Dios es Dios nuestro eternamente y para siempre; El nos guiará aun más allá de la muerte.

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.
