1 N o haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis estatua, ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros a ella; porque yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.

Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

2 G uardad mis días de reposo, y tened en reverencia mi santuario. Yo Jehová.

Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

3 S i anduviereis en mis decretos y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra,

If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,

4 y o daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra rendirá sus productos, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto.

then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;

5 V uestra trilla alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros, y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra.

and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.

6 Y yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y haré quitar de vuestra tierra las malas bestias, y la espada no pasará por vuestro país.

And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will put away the evil beasts out of the land; and the sword shall not go through your land.

7 Y perseguiréis a vuestros enemigos, y caerán a espada delante de vosotros.

And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword;

8 C inco de vosotros perseguirán a ciento, y ciento de vosotros perseguirán a diez mil, y vuestros enemigos caerán a filo de espada delante de vosotros.

and five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall beside you by the sword.

9 P orque yo me volveré a vosotros, y os haré crecer, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros.

And I will turn my face towards you and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10 C omeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y pondréis fuera lo añejo para guardar lo nuevo.

And ye shall eat old store, and clear away the old because of the new.

11 Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará;

And I will set my habitation among you; and my soul shall not abhor you;

12 y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.

and I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be to me a people.

13 Y o Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fueseis sus siervos, y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar con el rostro erguido. Consecuencias de la desobediencia (Dt. 28. 15-68)

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright.

14 P ero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis mandamientos,

But if ye hearken not unto me, and do not all these commandments,

15 y si desdeñareis mis decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis estatutos, no ejecutando todos mis mandamientos, e invalidando mi pacto,

and if ye shall despise my statutes, and if your soul shall abhor mine ordinances, so that ye do not all my commandments, that ye break my covenant,

16 y o también haré con vosotros esto: enviaré sobre vosotros terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma; y sembraréis en vano vuestra semilla, porque vuestros enemigos la comerán.

I also will do this unto you—I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 P ondré mi rostro contra vosotros, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de vosotros, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.

And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

18 Y si aun con estas cosas no me oyereis, yo volveré a castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados.

And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins,

19 Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestro orgullo, y haré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como bronce.

and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze,

20 V uestra fuerza se consumirá en vano, porque vuestra tierra no dará su producto, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.

and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

21 S i anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oír, yo añadiré sobre vosotros siete veces más plagas según vuestros pecados.

And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring sevenfold more plagues upon you according to your sins.

22 E nviaré también contra vosotros bestias fieras que os arrebaten vuestros hijos, y destruyan vuestro ganado, y os reduzcan en número, y vuestros caminos sean desiertos.

And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate.

23 Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición,

And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me,

24 y o también procederé en contra de vosotros, y os heriré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.

then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins.

25 T raeré sobre vosotros espada vengadora, en vindicación del pacto; y si buscareis refugio en vuestras ciudades, yo enviaré pestilencia entre vosotros, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo.

And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 C uando yo os quebrante el sustento del pan, cocerán diez mujeres vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os saciaréis.

When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27 S i aun con esto no me oyereis, sino que procediereis conmigo en oposición,

And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me,

28 y o procederé en contra de vosotros con ira, y os castigaré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.

then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.

29 Y comeréis la carne de vuestros hijos, y comeréis la carne de vuestras hijas.

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

30 D estruiré vuestros lugares altos, y derribaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará.

And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.

31 H aré desiertas vuestras ciudades, y asolaré vuestros santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume.

And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours.

32 A solaré también la tierra, y se pasmarán por ello vuestros enemigos que en ella moren;

And I will bring the land into desolation; that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.

33 y a vosotros os esparciré entre las naciones, y desenvainaré espada en pos de vosotros; y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y desiertas vuestras ciudades.

And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste.

34 E ntonces la tierra gozará sus días de reposo, todos los días que esté asolada, mientras vosotros estéis en la tierra de vuestros enemigos; la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus días de reposo.

Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, when ye are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

35 T odo el tiempo que esté asolada, descansará por lo que no reposó en los días de reposo cuando habitabais en ella.

All the days of the desolation it shall rest, which it did not rest on your sabbaths, when ye dwelt therein.

36 Y a los que queden de vosotros infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja que se mueva los perseguirá, y huirán como ante la espada, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga.

And as to those that remain of you—I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth;

37 T ropezarán los unos con los otros como si huyeran ante la espada, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos.

and they shall stumble one over another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

38 Y pereceréis entre las naciones, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá.

And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

39 Y los que queden de vosotros decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos.

And they that remain of you shall waste away through their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also through the iniquities of their fathers shall they waste away with them.

40 Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí; y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición,

And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, through their unfaithfulness wherein they were unfaithful to me, and also that they have walked contrary unto me,

41 y o también habré andado en contra de ellos, y los habré hecho entrar en la tierra de sus enemigos; y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y reconocerán su pecado.

so that I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

42 E ntonces yo me acordaré de mi pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi pacto con Isaac, y también de mi pacto con Abraham me acordaré, y haré memoria de la tierra.

I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

43 P ero la tierra será abandonada por ellos, y gozará sus días de reposo, estando desierta a causa de ellos; y entonces se someterán al castigo de sus iniquidades; por cuanto menospreciaron mis ordenanzas, y su alma tuvo fastidio de mis estatutos.

For the land shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, when it is in desolation without them; and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

44 Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi pacto con ellos; porque yo Jehová soy su Dios.

And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, and will not abhor them, to make an end of them utterly, to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God.

45 A ntes me acordaré de ellos por el pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto a los ojos de las naciones, para ser su Dios. Yo Jehová.

But I will remember toward them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah.

46 E stos son los estatutos, ordenanzas y leyes que estableció Jehová entre sí y los hijos de Israel en el monte de Sinaí por mano de Moisés.

These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which Jehovah made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
