1 D avid volvió a reunir a todos los escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

And David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

2 Y se levantó David y partió de Baala de Judá con todo el pueblo que tenía consigo, para hacer pasar de allí el arca de Dios, sobre la cual era invocado el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos, que mora entre los querubines.

And David arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale-Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God which is called by the name, the name of Jehovah of hosts who sitteth between the cherubim.

3 P usieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, y la llevaron de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en el collado; y Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was upon the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

4 Y cuando lo llevaban de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en el collado, con el arca de Dios, Ahío iba delante del arca.

And they brought it with the ark of God out of the house of Abinadab which was upon the hill; and Ahio went before the ark.

5 Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante de Jehová con toda clase de instrumentos de madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, panderos, flautas y címbalos.

And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah on all manner of cypress wood, with harps, and with lutes, and with tambours, and with sistra, and with cymbals.

6 C uando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió su mano al arca de Dios, y la sostuvo; porque los bueyes tropezaban.

And when they came to Nachon's threshing-floor, Uzzah reached after the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen had stumbled.

7 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

8 Y se entristeció David por haber herido Jehová a Uza, y fue llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uza, hasta hoy.

And David was indignant, because Jehovah had made a breach upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-Uzzah to this day.

9 Y temiendo David a Jehová aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir a mí el arca de Jehová?

And David was afraid of Jehovah that day, and said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come to me?

10 D e modo que David no quiso traer para sí el arca de Jehová a la ciudad de David; y la hizo llevar David a casa de Obed-edom geteo.

So David would not bring the ark of Jehovah home unto himself into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.

11 Y estuvo el arca de Jehová en casa de Obed-edom geteo tres meses; y bendijo Jehová a Obed-edom y a toda su casa. David trae el arca a Jerusalén (1 Cr. 15. 1--16. 6)

And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months; and Jehovah blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.

12 F ue dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: Jehová ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom y todo lo que tiene, a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y llevó con alegría el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David.

And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that is his, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom into the city of David with joy.

13 Y cuando los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, él sacrificó un buey y un carnero engordado.

And it was so, that when they that bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatted beast.

14 Y David danzaba con toda su fuerza delante de Jehová; y estaba David vestido con un efod de lino.

And David danced before Jehovah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15 A sí David y toda la casa de Israel conducían el arca de Jehová con júbilo y sonido de trompeta.

And David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

16 C uando el arca de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, aconteció que Mical hija de Saúl miró desde una ventana, y vio al rey David que saltaba y danzaba delante de Jehová; y le menospreció en su corazón.

And as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart.

17 M etieron, pues, el arca de Jehová, y la pusieron en su lugar en medio de una tienda que David le había levantado; y sacrificó David holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante de Jehová.

And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had spread for it. And David offered up burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah.

18 Y cuando David había acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová de los ejércitos.

And when David had ended offering up the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts.

19 Y repartió a todo el pueblo, y a toda la multitud de Israel, así a hombres como a mujeres, a cada uno un pan, y un pedazo de carne y una torta de pasas. Y se fue todo el pueblo, cada uno a su casa.

And he dealt to all the people, to the whole multitude of Israel, both men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a measure, and a raisin-cake. And all the people departed every one to his house.

20 V olvió luego David para bendecir su casa; y saliendo Mical a recibir a David, dijo:!! Cuán honrado ha quedado hoy el rey de Israel, descubriéndose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubre sin decoro un cualquiera!

And David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How honourable did the king of Israel make himself to-day, who uncovered himself to-day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the lewd fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!

21 E ntonces David respondió a Mical: Fue delante de Jehová, quien me eligió en preferencia a tu padre y a toda tu casa, para constituirme por príncipe sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel. Por tanto, danzaré delante de Jehová.

And David said to Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me rather than thy father, and than all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of Jehovah, over Israel; and I played before Jehovah.

22 Y aun me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo a tus ojos; pero seré honrado delante de las criadas de quienes has hablado.

And I will make myself yet more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight; and of the handmaids that thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

23 Y Mical hija de Saúl nunca tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.

And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
