1 R espondió Job, y dijo:

And Job answered and said,

2 ¿ En qué ayudaste al que no tiene poder? ¿Cómo has amparado al brazo sin fuerza?

How hast thou helped the powerless; how saved the arm that is without strength!

3 ¿ En qué aconsejaste al que no tiene ciencia, Y qué plenitud de inteligencia has dado a conocer?

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, and abundantly declared the thing as it is!

4 ¿ A quién has anunciado palabras, Y de quién es el espíritu que de ti procede?

For whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

5 L as sombras tiemblan en lo profundo, Los mares y cuanto en ellos mora.

The shades tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof;

6 E l Seol está descubierto delante de él, y el Abadón no tiene cobertura.

Sheol is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

7 E l extiende el norte sobre vacío, Cuelga la tierra sobre nada.

He stretcheth out the north over empty space, he hangeth the earth upon nothing;

8 A ta las aguas en sus nubes, Y las nubes no se rompen debajo de ellas.

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them.

9 E l encubre la faz de su trono, Y sobre él extiende su nube.

He covereth the face of his throne, he spreadeth his cloud upon it.

10 P uso límite a la superficie de las aguas, Hasta el fin de la luz y las tinieblas.

He hath traced a fixed circle over the waters, unto the confines of light and darkness.

11 L as columnas del cielo tiemblan, Y se espantan a su reprensión.

The pillars of the heavens tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

12 E l agita el mar con su poder, Y con su entendimiento hiere la arrogancia suya.

He stirreth up the sea by his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab.

13 S u espíritu adornó los cielos; Su mano creó la serpiente tortuosa.

By his Spirit the heavens are adorned; his hand hath formed the fleeing serpent.

14 H e aquí, estas cosas son sólo los bordes de sus caminos;!! Y cuán leve es el susurro que hemos oído de él! Pero el trueno de su poder, ¿quién lo puede comprender?

Lo, these are the borders of his ways; but what a whisper of a word do we hear of him! And the thunder of his power, who can understand?
