10 C us engendró a Nimrod; éste comenzó a ser poderoso en la tierra.

And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.

11 M izraim engendró a Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naftuhim,

—And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

12 P atrusim y Casluhim; de éstos salieron los filisteos, y los caftoreos.

and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.

13 C anaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito;

—And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

14 y al heteo, al jebuseo, al amorreo, al gergeseo;

and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

15 a l heveo, al araceo, al sineo;

and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 A rfaxad engendró a Sela, y Sela engendró a Heber.

—And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.

19 Y a Heber le nacieron dos hijos; el nombre del uno fue Peleg, por cuanto en sus días fue dividida la tierra; y el nombre de su hermano fue Joctán.

And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

20 Y Joctán engendró a Almodad, Selef, Hazarmavet, Jera,

And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

21 A doram, Uzal, Dicla,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22 E bal, Abimael, Seba,

and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

23 O fir, Havila, y Jobab: todos hijos de Joctán.

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.

28 ¶ Los hijos de Abraham: Isaac e Ismael.

The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

29 Y éstas son sus generaciones: el primogénito de Ismael, Nebaiot; después Cedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;

30 M isma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Nafis, y Cedema. Estos son los hijos de Ismael.

Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;

31 L os hijos de Cetura, concubina de Abraham, dio a luz a Zimram, Jocsán, Medán, Madián, Isbac, y a Súa.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.

32 L os hijos de Jocsán: Seba y Dedán.

—And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

33 L os hijos de Madián: Efa, Efer, Hanoc, Abida, y Elda; todos éstos fueron hijos de Cetura.

And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.

34 Y Abraham engendró a Isaac; y los hijos de Isaac fueron Esaú e Israel.

And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 ¶ Los hijos de Esaú: Elifaz, Reuel, Jeús, Jaalam, y Coré.

The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

36 L os hijos de Elifaz: Temán, Omar, Zefo, Gatam, Cenaz, Timna, y Amalec.

—The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 L os hijos de Reuel: Nahat, Zera, Sama, y Miza.

The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 L os hijos de Seir: Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná, Disón, Ezer, y Disán.

And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 L os hijos de Lotán: Hori, y Homam; y Timna fue hermana de Lotán.

—And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.

40 L os hijos de Sobal: Alván, Manahat, Ebal, Sefo y Onam. Los hijos de Zibeón: Aja, y Aná.

—The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam.—And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.

41 D isón fue hijo de Aná. Los hijos de Disón: Amram, Esbán, Itrán y Querán.

—The sons of Anah: Dishon.—And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.

42 L os hijos de Ezer: Bilhán, Zaaván, y Jaacán. Los hijos de Disán: Uz y Arán.

—The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan.—The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

43 Y éstos son los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom, antes que reinara rey sobre los hijos de Israel. Bela, hijo de Beor; y el nombre de su ciudad fue Dinaba.

And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel:—Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44 Y muerto Bela, reinó en su lugar Jobab, hijo de Zera, de Bosra.

And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45 Y muerto Jobab reinó en su lugar Husam, de la tierra de los temanitas.

And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46 M uerto Husam, reinó en su lugar Hadad, hijo de Bedad, el cual hirió a Madián en la campaña de Moab; y el nombre de su ciudad fue Avit.

And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

47 M uerto Adad, reinó en su lugar Samla, de Masreca.

And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48 M uerto también Samla, reinó en su lugar Saúl de Rehobot, que está junto al río.

And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.

49 Y muerto Saúl, reinó en su lugar Baal-hanán, hijo de Acbor.

And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50 Y muerto Baal-hanán, reinó en su lugar Hadad. El nombre de su ciudad fue Pai; y el nombre de su mujer Mehetabel, hija de Matred, y ésta hija de Mezaab.

And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

51 M uerto Hadad, sucedieron los duques en Edom; el duque Timna, el duque Alva, el duque Jetet,

And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,

52 e l duque Aholibama, el duque Ela, el duque Pinón,

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

53 e l duque Cenaz, el duque Temán, el duque Mibzar,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

54 e l duque Magdiel, y el duque Iram. Estos fueron los duques de Edom.
