1 А тепер отак каже Господь, що створив тебе, Якове, і тебе вформував, о Ізраїлю: Не бійся, бо Я тебе викупив, Я покликав ім'я твоє, Мій ти!

But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called by thy name; thou art mine.

2 К оли переходитимеш через води, Я буду з тобою, а через річки не затоплять тебе, коли будеш огонь переходити, не попечешся, і не буде палити тебе його полум'я.

When thou passest through the waters, I with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 Б о Я Господь, Бог твій, Святий Ізраїлів, твій Спаситель! Дав Я на викуп за тебе Єгипта, Етіопію й Севу замість тебе.

For I Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

4 Ч ерез те, що ти став дорогий в Моїх очах, шанований став, й Я тебе покохав, то людей замість тебе віддам, а народи за душу твою.

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; and I will give men for thee, and peoples for thy life.

5 Н е бійся, бо Я ж із тобою! Зо сходу згромаджу насіння твоє, і з заходу тебе позбираю.

Fear not, for I with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

6 С кажу півночі: Дай, а до півдня: Не стримуй! Поприводь ти синів моїх здалека, а дочки мої від окраїн землі,

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth,

7 і кожного, хто тільки зветься Іменням Моїм, і кого Я на славу Свою був створив, кого вформував та кого Я вчинив.

every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory: I have formed him, yea, I have made him.

8 П риведи ти народа сліпого, хоч очі він має, і глухих, хоч вуха в них є!

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 Н ехай разом зберуться всі люди і народи згромадяться: хто поміж ними розкаже про це, і хто розповість про минуле? Нехай дадуть свідків своїх і оправдані будуть, і хай вони чують та скажуть: Це правда!

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, truth.

10 В и свідки Мої, говорить Господь, та раб Мій, якого Я вибрав, щоб пізнали й Мені ви повірили, та зрозуміли, ще це Я. До Мене не зроблено Бога, і не буде цього по Мені!

Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 Я , Я Господь, і крім Мене немає Спасителя!

I, I Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

12 Я розказав, і споміг, і звістив, і Бога чужого немає між вами, ви ж свідки Мої, говорить Господь, а Я Бог!

It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I God.

13 І Я здавна Той Самий, і ніхто не врятує з Моєї руки, як що Я вчиню, то хто це перемінить?

Yea, since the day was, I HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?

14 Т ак говорить Господь, ваш Відкупитель, Святий Ізраїлів: Ради вас Я послав у Вавилон, і зганяю усіх втікачів, а халдеїв кораблі їх утіхи.

Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.

15 Я Господь, ваш Святий, Творець Ізраїля, Цар ваш!

I Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

16 Т ак говорить Господь, що дорогу на морі дає, а стежку в могутній воді,

Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,

17 щ о випровадив колесницю й коня, військо та силу, що разом лягли і не встали, зотліли, як льон, та погасли...

who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power—they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow:

18 Н е згадуйте вже про минуле, і про давнє не думайте!

—Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things:

19 О сь зроблю Я нове, тепер виросте. Чи ж про це ви не знаєте? Теж зроблю Я дорогу в степу, а в пустині річки.

behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.

20 Б уде славити Мене польова звірина, шакали та струсі, бо воду Я дам на степу, а в пустині річки, щоб напувати народ Мій, вибранця Мого.

The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 Ц ей народ Я Собі вформував, він буде звіщати про славу Мою.

This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.

22 Т а Мене ти не кликав, о Якове, не змагався за Мене, Ізраїлю.

—But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel:

23 Т и Мені не приводив ягнят цілопалень своїх, і своїми жертвами не шанував ти Мене... Я тебе не силував, щоб приносити жертву хлібну, і кадилом не мучив тебе.

thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorified me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 О черету запашного не купував ти за срібло Мені, і не напував ти Мене лоєм жертов своїх, тільки своїми гріхами Мене ти турбував та своїми провинами мучив Мене!...

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

25 Я , Я є Той, Хто стирає провини твої ради Себе, а гріхів твоїх не пам'ятає!

—I, I He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.

26 П ригадай ти Мені і судімося разом, розкажи ти Мені, щоб тобі оправдатись!

Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own, that thou mayest be justified.

27 Т вій батько був перший згрішив, і відпали від Мене твої посередники,

Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me.

28 т ому Я позбавив священства священиків, і Якова дав на прокляття, і на зневагу Ізраїля!

And I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the ban, and Israel to reproaches.
