1 У той день навідає Господь Своїм твердим, і дужим та сильним мечем левіятана, змія прудкого, і левіятана, змія звивкого, і дракона, що в морі, заб'є.

In that day Jehovah, with his sore and great and strong sword, will visit leviathan the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.

2 У той день заспівайте про нього, про виноградник принадний:

In that day a vineyard of pure wine; sing concerning it:

3 Я Господь, його Сторож, щохвилі його Я напоюю; щоб хто не навідав його, стережу його вдень та вночі,

I Jehovah keep it, I will water it every moment; lest any harm it, I will keep it night and day.

4 Я гніву не маю. Хто Мені дасть тернину й будяччя, на бій Я піду проти них, і спалю їх усіх!...

Fury is not in me. Oh that I had briars thorns in battle against me! I would march against them, I would burn them together.

5 Х іба буде держатися міцно Мого він захисту, щоб мир учинити зо Мною, зо Мною щоб мир учинити!

Or let him take hold of my strength; let him make peace with me: let him make peace with me.

6 Я ків у майбутньому пустить коріння, розцвітеться Ізраїль і пуп'янки пустить, і поверхню вселенної плодом наповнять.

In the future Jacob shall take root; Israel shall blossom and bud, and they shall fill the face of the world with fruit.

7 Ч и Він уразив його, як уразив того, хто бив був його? Чи він був забитий, як забиті були його вбивники?

Hath he smitten him according to the smiting of those that smote him? Is he slain according to the slaughter of those slain by him?

8 Т и вигнав його, відіслав його й судишся з ним, вигнав його Своїм подувом сильним у день східнього вітру.

In measure, when sending her away, didst thou contend with her: he hath taken away with his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

9 Т ому вина Якова буде окуплена цим, а це плід увесь: усунення з нього гріха, коли він учинить каміння все жертівника побитим, немов грудки крейди, і не стоятимуть більше Астарти, і стовпи на честь сонця.

By this, therefore, shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit of the taking away of his sin: when he shall make all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are crumbled in pieces,—the Asherahs and the sun-images shall not stand.

10 Б о місто укріплене буде самотнє, мешкання покинене та позоставлене, мов би пустиня, там пастися буде теля, і там буде лежати воно, та понищить галузки його.

For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation abandoned and forsaken like a wilderness; there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume its boughs.

11 К оли висохнуть віття його, то поламане буде, жінки прийдуть і спалять його... А що це нерозумний народ, тому милосердя до нього Творець його мати не буде, і не буде ласкавий до нього Створитель його...

When its branches are withered they shall be broken off; women shall come set them on fire. For it is a people of no intelligence; therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he who formed them will shew them no favour.

12 І станеться в день той, плоди помолотить Господь від бігу ріки до потоку єгипетського, а ви по одному позбирані будете, синове Ізраїля!

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah shall beat out from the flood of the river unto the torrent of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, children of Israel.

13 І станеться в день той, і буде засурмлено в велику сурму, і прийдуть, хто гинув у краї асирійському, і вигнанці до краю єгипетського, і будуть вони на святій горі в Єрусалимі вклонятися Господеві.

And it shall come to pass in that day, the great trumpet shall be blown; and they shall come that were perishing in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and they shall worship Jehovah in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
