1 Н авчальна пісня Етана езрахеяннина. (89-2) Про милості Господа буду співати повіки, я буду звіщати устами своїми про вірність Твою з роду в рід!

I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.

2 ( 89-3) Бо я був сказав: Буде навіки збудована милість, а небо Ти вірність Свою встановляєш на нім.

For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.

3 ( 89-4) Я склав заповіта з вибранцем Своїм, присягнув Я Давидові, Моєму рабові:

I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:

4 ( 89-5) Встановлю Я навіки насіння твоє, а твій трон Я збудую на вічні віки! Села.

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

5 ( 89-6) і небо хвалитиме, Господи, чудо Твоє, також вірність Твою на зібранні святих,

And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.

6 ( 89-7) бо хто в небі подібний до Господа? Хто подібний до Господа серед Божих синів?

For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?

7 ( 89-8) Бог дуже страшний у зібранні святих, і грізний Він на ціле довкілля Своє!

God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.

8 ( 89-9) Господи, Боже Саваоте, хто сильний, як Ти, Господи? А вірність Твоя на довкіллі Твоїм!

Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

9 ( 89-10) Ти пануєш над силою моря, коли підіймаються хвилі, Ти їх втихомирюєш.

Thou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.

10 ( 89-11) Ти стиснув Рагава, як трупа, і сильним раменом Своїм розпорошив Своїх ворогів.

Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

11 ( 89-12) Твої небеса, Твоя теж земля, вселенна і все, що на ній, Ти їх заложив!

Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, thou hast founded them.

12 ( 89-13) Північ та південє Ти їх створив, Фавор та Хермон співають про Ймення Твоє.

The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.

13 ( 89-14) Могутнє рамено Твоє, рука Твоя сильна, висока правиця Твоя!

Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.

14 ( 89-15) Справедливість та право підстава престолу Твого, милість та правда обличчя Твоє випереджують!

Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.

15 ( 89-16) Блаженний народ, що знає він поклик святковий, Господи, вони ходять у світлі обличчя Твого!

Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

16 ( 89-17) Радіють вони цілий день Твоїм іменням, і підвищуються Твоєю справедливістю,

In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.

17 ( 89-18) бо окраса їхньої сили то Ти, а Твоєю зичливістю ріг наш підноситься,

For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

18 ( 89-19) бо щит наш Господній, а цар наш від Святого ізраїлевого!

For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.

19 ( 89-20) Тоді богобійним Своїм промовляв Ти в об'явленні та говорив: Я поклав допомогу на сильного, Я вибранця підніс із народу:

Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

20 ( 89-21) знайшов Я Давида, Свого раба, Я його намастив Своєю святою оливою,

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

21 ( 89-22) щоб із ним була сильна рука Моя, а рамено Моє вміцнило його!

With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.

22 ( 89-23) Ворог на нього не нападе, а син беззаконня не буде його переслідувати,

No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;

23 ( 89-24) його ворогів поб'ю перед обличчям його, і вдарю його ненависників!

But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.

24 ( 89-25) із ним Моя вірність та милість Моя, а Йменням Моїм його ріг піднесеться,

And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 ( 89-26) і Я покладу його руку на море, і на ріки правицю його.

And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 ( 89-27) Він Мене буде звати: Отець Ти мій, Бог мій, і скеля спасіння мого!

He shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation;

27 ( 89-28) Я вчиню його теж перворідним, найвищим над земних царів.

And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

28 ( 89-29) Свою милість для нього навіки сховаю, і Мій заповіт йому вірний,

My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;

29 ( 89-30) і насіння його покладу Я навіки, а трона його як дні неба!

And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 ( 89-31) Коли ж його діти покинуть Закона Мого, і не будуть держатись наказів Моїх,

If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;

31 ( 89-32) коли ізневажать Мої постанови, і не будуть держатись наказів Моїх,

If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

32 ( 89-33) тоді палицею навіщу їхню провину, та поразами їхнє беззаконня!

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33 ( 89-34) А ласки Своєї від нього Я не заберу, і не зраджу його в Своїй вірності,

Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;

34 ( 89-35) не збезчещу Свого заповіту, а що було з уст Моїх вийшло, того не зміню!

My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 ( 89-36) Одне в Своїй святості Я присягнув, не повім Я неправди Давидові:

Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:

36 ( 89-37) повік буде насіння його, а престол його передо Мною як сонце,

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;

37 ( 89-38) як місяць, він буде стояти повіки, і Свідок на хмарі правдивий... Села.

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. Selah.

38 ( 89-39) А Ти опустив та обридив, розгнівався Ти на Свого помазанця,

But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:

39 ( 89-40) Ти неважливим зробив заповіта Свого раба, Ти скинув на землю корону його,

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:

40 ( 89-41) всю горожу його поламав, твердині його обернув на руїну!...

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

41 ( 89-42) Всі грабують його, хто проходить дорогою, він став для сусідів своїх посміховищем...

All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.

42 ( 89-43) Підніс Ти правицю його переслідувачів, усіх його ворогів Ти потішив,

Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:

43 ( 89-44) і Ти відвернув вістря шаблі його... у війні ж не підтримав його...

Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.

44 ( 89-45) Ти слави позбавив його, а трона його повалив був на землю,

Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;

45 ( 89-46) скоротив Ти був дні його молодости, розтягнув над ним сором! Села.

The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

46 ( 89-47) Доки, Господи, будеш ховатись назавжди, доки буде палати Твій гнів, як огонь?

How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?

47 ( 89-48) Пам'ятай же про мене, яка довгота життя людського? Для чого створив Ти всіх людських синів на ніщо?

Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?

48 ( 89-49) Котрий чоловік буде жити, а смерти на бачитиме, збереже свою душу від сили шеолу? Села.

What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.

49 ( 89-50) Де Твої перші милості, Господи, що їх присягав Ти Давидові у Своїй вірності?

Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

50 ( 89-51) Згадай, Господи, про ганьбу рабів Своїх, яку я ношу в своїм лоні від усіх великих народів,

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants—that I bear in my bosom all the mighty peoples—

51 ( 89-52) якою Твої вороги зневажають, о Господи, і кроки Твого помазанця безславлять!

Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

52 ( 89-53) Благословенний навіки Господь! Амінь і амінь!

Blessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.
