1 P or siempre cantaré de las misericordias del Señor; Con mi boca daré a conocer Tu fidelidad a todas las generaciones.

I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.

2 P orque dije: “Para siempre será edificada la misericordia; En los cielos mismos establecerás Tu fidelidad.”

For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.

3 “ Yo he hecho un pacto con Mi escogido, He jurado a David Mi siervo:

I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:

4 E stableceré tu descendencia para siempre, Y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones.” (Selah)

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

5 L os cielos alabarán Tus maravillas, Señor, Y también Tu fidelidad en la asamblea de los santos.

And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.

6 P orque, ¿quién en el firmamento se puede comparar al Señor ? ¿Quién entre los hijos de los poderosos es como el Señor,

For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?

7 D ios es muy temido en el consejo de los santos, E imponente sobre todos los que están en Su derredor?

God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.

8 O h Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como Tú, poderoso Señor ? Tu fidelidad también Te rodea.

Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

9 T ú dominas la soberbia del mar; Cuando sus olas se levantan, Tú las calmas.

Thou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.

10 T ú aplastaste a Egipto como a uno herido de muerte; Esparciste a Tus enemigos con Tu brazo poderoso.

Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

11 T uyos son los cielos, Tuya también la tierra; El mundo y todo lo que en él hay, Tú lo fundaste.

Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, thou hast founded them.

12 E l norte y el sur, Tú los creaste; El Tabor y el Hermón aclamarán con gozo a Tu nombre.

The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.

13 T ú tienes un brazo fuerte; Tu mano es poderosa, Tu diestra es exaltada.

Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.

14 L a justicia y el derecho son el fundamento de Tu trono; La misericordia y la verdad van delante de Ti.

Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.

15 ¡ Cuán bienaventurado es el pueblo que sabe lo que es la voz de júbilo! Andan, Señor, a la luz de Tu rostro.

Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

16 E n Tu nombre se regocijan todo el día, Y por Tu justicia son enaltecidos.

In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.

17 P orque Tú eres la gloria de su potencia, Y por Tu gracia es exaltado nuestro poder.

For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

18 P ues del Señor es nuestro escudo, Y del Santo de Israel nuestro rey.

For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.

19 U na vez hablaste en visión a Tus santos, Y dijiste: “He ayudado a un poderoso; He exaltado a uno escogido de entre el pueblo.

Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

20 H e hallado a David Mi siervo; Lo he ungido con Mi óleo santo,

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

21 Y con él estará siempre Mi mano; Mi brazo también lo fortalecerá.

With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.

22 N o lo engañará el enemigo, Ni lo afligirá el hijo de maldad.

No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;

23 S ino que Yo aplastaré a sus adversarios delante de él, Y heriré a los que lo aborrecen.

But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.

24 C on él estarán Mi fidelidad y Mi misericordia, Y en Mi nombre será exaltado su poder.

And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 P ondré también su mano sobre el mar Y su diestra sobre los ríos.

And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 E l clamará a Mí: ‘Mi Padre eres Tú, Mi Dios y la roca de mi salvación.’

He shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation;

27 Y o también lo haré Mi primogénito, El más excelso de los reyes de la tierra.

And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

28 P ara siempre conservaré Mi misericordia hacia él, Y Mi pacto le será confirmado.

My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;

29 A sí estableceré su descendencia para siempre Y su trono como los días de los cielos.

And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 S i sus hijos abandonan Mi ley Y no andan en Mis juicios,

If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;

31 S i violan Mis estatutos Y no guardan Mis mandamientos,

If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

32 E ntonces castigaré con vara su transgresión Y con azotes su iniquidad.

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33 P ero no quitaré de él Mi misericordia, Ni obraré falsamente en Mi fidelidad.

Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;

34 N o quebrantaré Mi pacto, Ni cambiaré la palabra de Mis labios.

My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 U na vez he jurado por Mi santidad; No mentiré a David.

Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:

36 S u descendencia será para siempre, Y su trono como el sol delante de Mí.

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;

37 S erá establecido para siempre como la luna, Fiel testigo en el cielo.” (Selah)

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. Selah.

38 P ero Tú lo has rechazado y desechado, Contra Tu ungido Te has enfurecido.

But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:

39 H as despreciado el pacto de Tu siervo; Has profanado su corona echándola por tierra.

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:

40 H as derribado todos sus muros; Has convertido en ruinas sus fortalezas.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

41 T odos los que pasan por el camino lo saquean; Ha venido a ser una afrenta para sus vecinos.

All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.

42 T ú has exaltado la diestra de sus adversarios; Has hecho que se regocijen todos sus enemigos.

Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:

43 H as retirado también el filo de su espada, Y no le has hecho estar firme en la batalla.

Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.

44 H as hecho cesar su esplendor, Y has echado por tierra su trono.

Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;

45 H as acortado los días de su juventud; Lo has cubierto de ignominia. (Selah)

The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

46 ¿ Hasta cuándo, Señor ? ¿Te esconderás para siempre ? ¿Arderá como el fuego Tu furor ?

How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?

47 R ecuerda cuán breve es mi vida; ¡Con qué propósito vano has creado a todos los hijos de los hombres!

Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?

48 ¿ Qué hombre podrá vivir y no ver la muerte ? ¿Podrá librar su alma del poder del Seol? (Selah)

What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.

49 ¿ Dónde están, Señor, Tus misericordias de antes, Que en Tu fidelidad juraste a David ?

Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

50 R ecuerda, Señor, el oprobio de Tus siervos; Cómo llevo dentro de mí el oprobio de muchos pueblos,

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants—that I bear in my bosom all the mighty peoples—

51 C on el cual Tus enemigos, oh Señor, han injuriado, Con el cual han injuriado los pasos de Tu ungido.

Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

52 ¡ Bendito sea el Señor para siempre! Amén y amén.

Blessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.
