1 E ntonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 “ Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los pastores de Israel; profetiza y di a los pastores: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “¡Ay de los pastores de Israel que se apacientan a sí mismos! ¿No deben los pastores apacentar el rebaño ?

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy; and say unto them, unto the shepherds, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the shepherds of Israel that feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?

3 C omen la grasa, se han vestido con la lana, degüellan la oveja engordada, pero no apacientan el rebaño.

Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool; ye kill them that are fattened: ye feed not the flock.

4 U stedes no han fortalecido a las débiles, no han curado a la enferma, no han vendado a la herida, no han hecho volver a la descarriada, no han buscado a la perdida; sino que las han dominado con dureza y con severidad.

The weak have ye not strengthened, nor have ye healed the sick, and ye have not bound up broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought for that which was lost; but with harshness and with rigour have ye ruled over them.

5 L as ovejas se han dispersado por falta de pastor, y se han convertido en alimento para toda fiera del campo. ¡Se han dispersado!

And they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.

6 M is ovejas andaban errantes por todos los montes y por toda colina alta. Mis ovejas han sido dispersadas por toda la superficie de la tierra, sin haber quien las busque ni pregunte por ellas.”’”

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill, and my sheep have been scattered upon all the face of the earth, and there was none that searched, or that sought for them.

7 P or tanto, pastores, oigan la palabra del Señor:

Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of Jehovah:

8 “ Vivo Yo,” declara el Señor Dios, “ya que Mi rebaño se ha convertido en presa, que incluso Mi rebaño se ha convertido en alimento para todas las fieras del campo por falta de pastor, y que Mis pastores no han buscado Mis ovejas, sino que los pastores se han apacentado a sí mismos y no han apacentado Mi rebaño,

I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, verily because my sheep have been a prey, and my sheep have been meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds searched not for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock,

9 p or tanto, pastores, oigan la palabra del Señor:

—therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of Jehovah.

10 ‘ Así dice el Señor Dios: “Yo estoy contra los pastores y demandaré Mi rebaño de su mano y haré que dejen de apacentar el rebaño. Así los pastores ya no se apacentarán más a sí mismos, sino que Yo libraré Mis ovejas de su boca, y no serán más alimento para ellos.”’”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock: that the shepherds may feed themselves no more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.

11 P orque así dice el Señor Dios: “Yo mismo buscaré Mis ovejas y velaré por ellas.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold I, I, will both search for my sheep, and tend them.

12 C omo un pastor vela por su rebaño el día que está en medio de sus ovejas dispersas, así Yo velaré por Mis ovejas y las libraré de todos los lugares adonde fueron dispersadas un día nublado y sombrío.

As a shepherd tendeth his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

13 L as sacaré de los pueblos y las juntaré de las tierras; las traeré a su propia tierra, y las apacentaré en los montes de Israel, por las barrancas y por todos los lugares habitados del país.

And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the water-courses, and in all the habitable places of the country.

14 L as apacentaré en buenos pastos, y en los altos montes de Israel estará su apacentadero. Allí reposarán en apacentadero bueno, y apacentarán en ricos pastos sobre los montes de Israel.

I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel.

15 Y o apacentaré Mis ovejas y las llevaré a reposar,” declara el Señor Dios.

I will myself feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Jehovah.

16 “ Buscaré la perdida, haré volver la descarriada, vendaré la herida y fortaleceré la enferma; pero destruiré la engordada y la fuerte. Las apacentaré con justicia.

I will seek the lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up the broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong: I will feed them with judgment.

17 “ Pero en cuanto a ustedes, ovejas Mías, así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Yo juzgaré entre oveja y oveja, entre carneros y machos cabríos.

And as for you, my flock, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I judge between sheep and sheep, between the rams and the he-goats.

18 ¿ Les parece poco comer en los buenos pastos, para que después hollen con sus pies el resto de sus pastos; o que beban de las aguas claras, para que después enturbien el resto con sus pies?

Is it too small a thing unto you to have eaten up the good pastures, but ye must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures; and to have drunk of the settled waters, but ye must foul the rest with your feet?

19 Y en cuanto a Mis ovejas, tienen que comer lo que ustedes han hollado con sus pies, y tienen que beber lo que ustedes han enturbiado con sus pies.’”

And my sheep have to eat that which ye have trodden with your feet, and to drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

20 P or tanto, así les dice el Señor Dios: “Yo mismo juzgaré entre la oveja engordada y la oveja flaca.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto them: Behold, I, and I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

21 P or cuanto ustedes han empujado con el costado y con el hombro, y han embestido con sus cuernos a todas las débiles hasta dispersarlas fuera,

Because ye thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the weak ones with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad,

22 l ibraré Mis ovejas y ya no serán presa; juzgaré entre oveja y oveja.

—I will save my flock, that they may no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.

23 E ntonces pondré sobre ellas un solo pastor que las apacentará: Mi siervo David. El las apacentará y será su pastor.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

24 E ntonces Yo, el Señor, seré su Dios, y Mi siervo David será príncipe en medio de ellas. Yo, el Señor, he hablado.

And I Jehovah will be their God, and my servant David a prince in their midst: I Jehovah have spoken.

25 “ Haré un pacto de paz con ellos y eliminaré de la tierra las bestias feroces, para que habiten seguros en el desierto y duerman en los bosques.

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell in safety in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26 H aré de ellos y de los alrededores de mi collado una bendición. Haré descender lluvias a su tiempo; serán lluvias de bendición.

And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season: there shall be showers of blessing.

27 E l árbol del campo dará su fruto y la tierra dará sus productos, y ellos estarán seguros en su tierra. Y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor cuando Yo quiebre las varas de su yugo y los libre de la mano de los que los han esclavizado.

And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase; and they shall be in safety in their land, and shall know that I Jehovah, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them out of the hand of those that kept them in servitude.

28 N o serán más presa de las naciones, y las fieras de la tierra no los devorarán; sino que habitarán seguros y nadie los atemorizará.

And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell in safety, and none shall make them afraid.

29 E stableceré para ellos un plantío de renombre, y no serán más víctimas del hambre en la tierra, ni sufrirán más los insultos de las naciones.

And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the ignominy of the nations any more.

30 E ntonces sabrán que Yo, el Señor su Dios, estoy con ellos, y que ellos, la casa de Israel, son Mi pueblo,” declara el Señor Dios.

And they shall know that I Jehovah their God with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord Jehovah.

31 U stedes, ovejas Mías, son el rebaño de Mi prado, hombres son, y Yo soy su Dios,” declara el Señor Dios.

And ye, my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men: I your God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
