1 E stas son las generaciones de Sem, Cam y Jafet, hijos de Noé, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio.

And these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and to them were sons born after the flood.

2 L os hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javán, Tubal, Mesec y Tiras.

The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

3 L os hijos de Gomer: Askenaz, Rifat y Togarmá.

And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

4 L os hijos de Javán: Elisa, Tarsis, Quitim y Dodanim.

And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5 D e éstos, las costas de las naciones se dividieron en sus tierras, cada uno conforme a su lengua, según sus familias, en sus naciones.

From these came the distribution of the isles of the nations, according to their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

6 L os hijos de Cam: Cus, Mizraim (Egipto), Fut y Canaán.

And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

7 L os hijos de Cus: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama y Sabteca, y los hijos de Raama: Seba y Dedán.

And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

8 C us fue el padre de Nimrod, que llegó a ser poderoso en la tierra.

And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.

9 E l fue un poderoso cazador delante del Señor. Por tanto se dice: “Como Nimrod, poderoso cazador delante del Señor.”

He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; therefore it is said, As Nimrod, the mighty hunter before Jehovah!

10 E l comienzo de su reino fue Babel, Erec, Acab y Calne, en la tierra de Sinar.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

11 D e aquella tierra salió hacia Asiria y edificó Nínive, Rehobot Ir, Cala,

From that land went out Asshur, and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,

12 y Resén, entre Nínive y Cala; aquélla es la gran ciudad.

and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah: this is the great city.

13 M izraim (Egipto) fue el padre (antepasado) de Ludim, de Anamim, de Lehabim, de Naftuhim,

—And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

14 d e Patrusim, de Casluhim (de donde salieron los Filisteos) y de Caftorim.

and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim, out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.

15 C anaán fue el padre de Sidón su primogénito, y de Het,

—And Canaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth,

16 y el antepasado del Jebuseo, del Amorreo, Gergeseo,

and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

17 H eveo, Araceo, Sineo,

and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 d el Arvadeo, Zemareo y del Hamateo. Y después las familias de los Cananeos fueron esparcidas.

and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. And afterwards the families of the Canaanites spread themselves abroad.

19 E l territorio de los Cananeos se extendía desde Sidón, rumbo a Gerar, hasta Gaza; y rumbo a Sodoma, Gomorra, Adma y Zeboim, hasta Lasa.

And the border of the Canaanite was from Sidon, as one goes to Gerar, up to Gazah; as one goes to Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, up to Lesha.

20 E stos son los hijos de Cam, según sus familias, según sus lenguas, por sus tierras, por sus naciones.

These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.

21 T ambién le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Heber, y hermano mayor de Jafet.

And to Shem—to him also were born; he is the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.

22 L os hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud y Aram.

The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

23 L os hijos de Aram: Uz, Hul, Geter y Mas.

And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

24 A rfaxad fue el padre de Sala, y Sala de Heber.

—And Arphaxad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.

25 A Heber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Peleg, porque en sus días fue repartida la tierra, y el nombre de su hermano, Joctán.

And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

26 J octán fue el padre de Almodad, Selef, Hazar Mavet, Jera,

And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

27 A doram, Uzal, Dicla,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

28 O bal, Abimael, Seba,

and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

29 O fir, Havila y de Jobab. Todos éstos fueron hijos de Joctán.

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.

30 S u territorio se extendía desde Mesa rumbo a Sefar, la región montañosa del oriente.

And their dwelling was from Mesha, as one goes to Sephar, the eastern mountain.

31 E stos son los hijos de Sem, según sus familias, según sus lenguas, por sus tierras, conforme a sus naciones.

These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.

32 E stas son las familias de los hijos de Noé según sus genealogías, por sus naciones. De ellos se propagaron las naciones sobre la tierra después del diluvio.

These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. And from these came the distribution of the nations on the earth after the flood.
