1 E ntonces el Señor dijo a Moisés:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

2 “ Habla a Aarón y dile: ‘Cuando pongas las lámparas, las siete lámparas alumbrarán al frente del candelabro.’”

Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

3 Y así lo hizo Aarón; puso las lámparas al frente del candelabro, como el Señor había ordenado a Moisés.

And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

4 A sí estaba hecho el candelabro: de oro labrado a martillo; desde su base hasta sus flores fue obra labrada a martillo; según el modelo que el Señor le mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro. La Purificación de los Levitas

And this was the work of the candlestick: of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.

5 D e nuevo el Señor habló a Moisés y le dijo:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

6 “ Toma de entre los Israelitas a los Levitas y purifícalos.

Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7 A sí harás con ellos para su purificación: rociarás sobre ellos agua purificadora, y que ellos hagan pasar una navaja sobre todo su cuerpo, laven sus ropas y quedarán purificados.

And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.

8 T omarán entonces un novillo con su ofrenda de cereal, flor de harina mezclada con aceite; y tú tomarás otro novillo como ofrenda por el pecado.

And they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.

9 Y harás que se acerquen los Levitas delante de la tienda de reunión. Reunirás también a toda la congregación de los Israelitas,

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.

10 y presentarás a los Levitas delante del Señor; y los Israelitas pondrán sus manos sobre los Levitas.

And thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

11 E ntonces Aarón presentará a los Levitas delante del Señor, como ofrenda mecida de los Israelitas, para que ellos puedan cumplir el ministerio del Señor.

And Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.

12 L os Levitas pondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza de los novillos, y entonces ofrecerán uno como ofrenda por el pecado y el otro como holocausto al Señor, para hacer expiación por los Levitas.

And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.

13 H arás que los Levitas estén de pie delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos, para presentarlos como ofrenda mecida al Señor.

And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.

14 “ Así separarás a los Levitas de entre los Israelitas, y los Levitas serán Míos.

And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.

15 Y después de eso, los Levitas podrán entrar para ministrar en la tienda de reunión, tú los purificarás y los presentarás como ofrenda mecida;

And afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.

16 p orque son enteramente dedicados para Mí de entre los Israelitas. Los he tomado para Mí en lugar de todo primer fruto de la matriz, los primogénitos de todos los Israelitas.

For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

17 P orque Míos son todos los primogénitos de entre los Israelitas, tanto de hombres como de animales; el día en que herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para Mí.

For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.

18 P ero he tomado a los Levitas en lugar de los primogénitos de entre los Israelitas.

And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

19 Y he dado a los Levitas como un don a Aarón y a sus hijos de entre los Israelitas, para cumplir el ministerio de los Israelitas en la tienda de reunión y para hacer expiación en favor de los Israelitas, para que no haya plaga entre ellos al acercarse al santuario.”

And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.

20 M oisés, Aarón y toda la congregación de los Israelitas hicieron así a los Levitas. Conforme a todo lo que el Señor había mandado a Moisés acerca de los Levitas, así hicieron con ellos los Israelitas.

And Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.

21 L os Levitas se purificaron a sí mismos de pecados, y lavaron sus ropas; y Aarón los presentó como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor. También Aarón hizo expiación por ellos para purificarlos.

And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

22 E ntonces, después de eso, los Levitas entraron para cumplir su ministerio en la tienda de reunión delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos. Como el Señor había ordenado a Moisés acerca de los Levitas, así hicieron con ellos. La Jubilación de los Levitas

And afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

23 E ntonces el Señor le dijo a Moisés:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

24 “ Esto es lo que se refiere a los Levitas: desde los veinticinco años en adelante entrarán a cumplir el servicio en el ministerio de la tienda de reunión.

This is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.

25 P ero a los cincuenta años se jubilarán de ejercer el ministerio, y no trabajarán más.

And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;

26 S in embargo, pueden ayudar a sus hermanos en la tienda de reunión a cumplir sus obligaciones, pero no a ejercer el ministerio. Así harás con los Levitas en cuanto a sus obligaciones.”

but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.
