1 ‘ Ustedes no se harán ídolos, ni se levantarán imagen tallada ni pilares sagrados, ni pondrán en su tierra piedra grabada para inclinarse ante ella; porque Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

2 G uardarán Mis días de reposo, y tendrán en reverencia Mi santuario. Yo soy el Señor.

Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

3 S i andan en Mis estatutos y guardan Mis mandamientos para ponerlos por obra,

If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,

4 Y o les daré lluvias en su tiempo, de manera que la tierra dará sus productos, y los árboles del campo darán su fruto.

then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;

5 C iertamente, su trilla les durará hasta la vendimia, y la vendimia hasta el tiempo de la siembra. Comerán, pues, su pan hasta que se sacien y habitarán seguros en su tierra.

and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.

6 D aré también paz en la tierra, para que duerman sin que nadie los atemorice. Asimismo eliminaré las fieras dañinas de su tierra, y no pasará espada por su tierra.

And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will put away the evil beasts out of the land; and the sword shall not go through your land.

7 U stedes perseguirán a sus enemigos y caerán a espada delante de ustedes.

And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword;

8 C inco de ustedes perseguirán a cien, y cien de ustedes perseguirán a diez mil, y sus enemigos caerán a espada delante de ustedes.

and five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall beside you by the sword.

9 M e volveré hacia ustedes y los haré fecundos y los multiplicaré y confirmaré Mi pacto con ustedes.

And I will turn my face towards you and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10 C omerán las provisiones añejas y sacarán lo añejo para guardar lo nuevo.

And ye shall eat old store, and clear away the old because of the new.

11 A demás, haré Mi morada en medio de ustedes, y Mi alma no los aborrecerá.

And I will set my habitation among you; and my soul shall not abhor you;

12 A ndaré entre ustedes y seré su Dios, y ustedes serán Mi pueblo.

and I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be to me a people.

13 Y o soy el Señor su Dios, que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto para que no fueran esclavos de ellos; rompí las varas de su yugo y los hice andar erguidos. Resultados de la Desobediencia

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright.

14 P ero si ustedes no Me obedecen y no ponen por obra todos estos mandamientos,

But if ye hearken not unto me, and do not all these commandments,

15 s i desprecian Mis estatutos y si su alma aborrece Mis ordenanzas para no poner por obra todos Mis mandamientos, quebrantando así Mi pacto,

and if ye shall despise my statutes, and if your soul shall abhor mine ordinances, so that ye do not all my commandments, that ye break my covenant,

16 Y o, por Mi parte, les haré esto: Pondré sobre ustedes terror repentino, tisis y fiebre que consuman los ojos y hagan desfallecer el alma. En vano sembrarán su semilla, pues sus enemigos la comerán.

I also will do this unto you—I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 F ijaré Mi rostro contra ustedes, para que sean derrotados delante de sus enemigos; los que los aborrecen los dominarán y ustedes huirán sin que nadie los persiga.

And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

18 Y si aun con todas estas cosas no Me obedecen, entonces los castigaré siete veces más por sus pecados.

And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins,

19 T ambién quebrantaré el orgullo de su poderío, y haré sus cielos como hierro y su tierra como bronce.

and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze,

20 Y sus fuerzas se consumirán en vano, porque su tierra no dará su producto y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.

and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.

21 S i proceden con hostilidad contra Mí y no quieren obedecerme, aumentaré la plaga sobre ustedes siete veces conforme a sus pecados.

And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring sevenfold more plagues upon you according to your sins.

22 S oltaré entre ustedes las fieras del campo que los privarán de sus hijos, destruirán su ganado y los reducirán en número de manera que sus caminos queden desiertos.

And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate.

23 Y si con estas cosas no se enmiendan ante Mí, sino que proceden con hostilidad contra Mí,

And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me,

24 e ntonces Yo procederé con hostilidad contra ustedes; y Yo mismo los heriré siete veces por sus pecados.

then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins.

25 Y traeré sobre ustedes una espada que ejecutará venganza a causa del pacto; y cuando se reúnan en sus ciudades, enviaré pestilencia entre ustedes, para que sean entregados en manos del enemigo.

And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 C uando Yo les quite el sustento del pan, diez mujeres cocerán su pan en un horno, y les darán su pan en cantidades medidas, de modo que comerán y no se saciarán.

When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27 S i a pesar de todo esto no Me obedecen, sino que proceden con hostilidad contra Mí,

And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me,

28 e ntonces Yo procederé con ira y hostilidad contra ustedes, Yo mismo los castigaré siete veces por sus pecados.

then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.

29 C omerán la carne de sus hijos, y la carne de sus hijas comerán.

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

30 D estruiré sus lugares altos, derribaré sus altares de incienso y amontonaré sus cadáveres sobre los cadáveres de sus ídolos, pues Mi alma los aborrecerá.

And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.

31 T ambién dejaré en ruinas sus ciudades, desolaré sus santuarios y no oleré sus suaves aromas.

And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours.

32 A solaré la tierra de tal modo que sus enemigos que se establezcan en ella queden pasmados.

And I will bring the land into desolation; that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.

33 A ustedes, sin embargo, los esparciré entre las naciones y desenvainaré la espada en pos de ustedes, y su tierra será asolada y sus ciudades quedarán en ruinas.

And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste.

34 E ntonces la tierra gozará de sus días de reposo durante todos los días de su desolación, mientras que ustedes habiten en la tierra de sus enemigos; entonces descansará la tierra y gozará de sus días de reposo.

Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, when ye are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

35 D urante todos los días de su desolación la tierra guardará el descanso que no guardó en sus días de reposo mientras habitaban en ella.

All the days of the desolation it shall rest, which it did not rest on your sabbaths, when ye dwelt therein.

36 E n cuanto a los que queden de ustedes, infundiré cobardía en sus corazones en la tierra de sus enemigos; y el sonido de una hoja que se mueva los ahuyentará, y aun cuando nadie los persiga, huirán como quien huye de la espada, y caerán.

And as to those that remain of you—I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth;

37 T ropezarán unos con otros como si huyeran de la espada aunque nadie los persiga; ustedes no tendrán fuerza para hacer frente a sus enemigos.

and they shall stumble one over another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

38 P erecerán entre las naciones y los devorará la tierra de sus enemigos.

And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

39 A sí que los que sobrevivan de ustedes se pudrirán a causa de su iniquidad en la tierra de sus enemigos; también a causa de las iniquidades de sus antepasados se pudrirán junto con ellos.

And they that remain of you shall waste away through their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also through the iniquities of their fathers shall they waste away with them.

40 S i confiesan su iniquidad y la iniquidad de sus antepasados, por las infidelidades que cometieron contra Mí, y también porque procedieron con hostilidad contra Mí,

And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, through their unfaithfulness wherein they were unfaithful to me, and also that they have walked contrary unto me,

41 ( Yo también procedía con hostilidad contra ellos para llevarlos a la tierra de sus enemigos), o si su corazón incircunciso se humilla, y reconocen sus iniquidades,

so that I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

42 e ntonces Me acordaré de Mi pacto con Jacob, Me acordaré también de Mi pacto con Isaac y de Mi pacto con Abraham, y Me acordaré de la tierra.

I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

43 P orque la tierra será abandonada por ellos, y gozará de sus días de reposo mientras quede desolada por su ausencia. Entretanto, ellos pagarán su iniquidad, porque despreciaron Mis ordenanzas y su alma aborreció Mis estatutos.

For the land shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, when it is in desolation without them; and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

44 S in embargo, a pesar de esto, cuando estén en la tierra de sus enemigos no los desecharé ni los aborreceré tanto como para destruirlos, quebrantando Mi pacto con ellos, porque Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, and will not abhor them, to make an end of them utterly, to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God.

45 S ino que por ellos Me acordaré del pacto con sus antepasados, que Yo saqué de la tierra de Egipto a la vista de las naciones, para ser su Dios. Yo soy el Señor.’”

But I will remember toward them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah.

46 E stos son los estatutos, ordenanzas y leyes que el Señor estableció entre El y los Israelitas por medio de Moisés en el Monte Sinaí.

These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which Jehovah made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
