1 E l Señor también dijo a Moisés:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “ Di a los Israelitas: ‘Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God.

3 U stedes no harán como hacen en la tierra de Egipto en la cual moraron, ni harán como hacen en la tierra de Canaán adonde Yo los llevo; no andarán en los estatutos de ellos.

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their customs.

4 H abrán de cumplir Mis leyes y guardarán Mis estatutos para vivir según ellos. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

Mine ordinances shall ye do and my statutes shall ye observe to walk therein: I am Jehovah your God.

5 P or tanto, guardarán Mis estatutos y Mis leyes, por los cuales el hombre vivirá si los cumple. Yo soy el Señor.

And ye shall observe my statutes and my judgments, by which the man that doeth them shall live: I am Jehovah.

6 N inguno de ustedes se acercará a una parienta cercana suya para descubrir su desnudez. Yo soy el Señor.

No one shall approach to any that is his near relation, to uncover his nakedness: I am Jehovah.

7 N o descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre, o la desnudez de tu madre. Es tu madre, no descubrirás su desnudez.

The nakedness of thy father, and the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

8 N o descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre; es la desnudez de tu padre.

The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

9 L a desnudez de tu hermana, sea hija de tu padre o de tu madre, nacida en casa o nacida fuera, su desnudez no descubrirás.

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home, or born abroad—their nakedness shalt thou not uncover.

10 L a desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, o de la hija de tu hija, su desnudez no descubrirás; porque su desnudez es la tuya.

The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter—their nakedness shalt thou not uncover; for theirs is thy nakedness.

11 L a desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, su desnudez no descubrirás; tu hermana es.

The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father: she is thy sister: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

12 N o descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre; parienta de tu padre es.

The nakedness of thy father's sister shalt thou not uncover: she is thy father's near relation.

13 N o descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre; parienta de tu madre es.

The nakedness of thy mother's sister shalt thou not uncover; for she is thy mother's near relation.

14 N o descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre; no te acercarás a su mujer, tu tía es.

The nakedness of thy father's brother shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not approach his wife: she is thine aunt.

15 N o descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera; es mujer de tu hijo, no descubrirás su desnudez.

The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law shalt thou not uncover: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

16 N o descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano; es la desnudez de tu hermano.

The nakedness of thy brother's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy brother's nakedness.

17 N o descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y la de su hija, ni tomarás la hija de su hijo ni la hija de su hija para descubrir su desnudez; son parientas. Es aborrecible.

The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, nor her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness: they are her near relations: it is wickedness.

18 N o tomarás mujer junto con su hermana, para que sea rival suya, descubriendo su desnudez mientras ésta viva.

And thou shalt not take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness beside her, during her life.

19 Y no te acercarás a una mujer para descubrir su desnudez durante su impureza menstrual.

And thou shalt not approach a woman in the separation of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness.

20 N o te acostarás con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote con ella.

And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to become unclean with her.

21 T ampoco darás hijo tuyo para ofrecerlo a Moloc, ni profanarás el nombre de tu Dios. Yo soy el Señor.

And thou shalt not give of thy seed to let them pass through to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

22 N o te acostarás con varón como los que se acuestan con mujer; es una abominación.

And thou shalt not lie with mankind as one lieth with a woman: it is an abomination.

23 N o tendrás trato sexual con ningún animal, contaminándote con él, ni mujer alguna se pondrá delante de un animal para tener trato sexual con él; es una perversión.

And thou shalt lie with no beast to become unclean therewith; and a woman shall not stand before a beast to lie down with it: it is confusion.

24 N o se contaminen con ninguna de estas cosas, porque por todas estas cosas se han contaminado las naciones que voy a echar de delante de ustedes.

Make not yourselves unclean in any of these things; for in all these have the nations which I am casting out before you made themselves unclean.

25 P orque esta tierra se ha corrompido, por tanto, he castigado su iniquidad sobre ella, y la tierra ha vomitado a sus moradores.

And the land hath become unclean; and I visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants.

26 P ero en cuanto a ustedes, guardarán Mis estatutos y Mis leyes y no harán ninguna de estas abominaciones, ni el nativo ni el extranjero que reside entre ustedes

But ye shall observe my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of all these abominations: the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you;

27 ( porque los hombres de esta tierra que fueron antes de ustedes han hecho todas estas abominaciones, y la tierra se ha contaminado),

(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath been made unclean);

28 n o sea que la tierra los vomite por haberla contaminado, como vomitó a la nación que estuvo antes de ustedes.

that the land vomit you not out, when ye make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

29 P orque todo el que haga cualquiera de estas abominaciones, aquellas personas que las hagan, serán exterminadas de entre su pueblo.

For whoever committeth any of these abominations, … the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

30 P or tanto, ustedes guardarán Mi ordenanza, no practicando ninguna de las costumbres abominables que se practicaron antes de ustedes, para que no se contaminen con ellas. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.’”

And ye shall observe my charge, that ye commit not of the abominable customs which were committed before you; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean therein: I am Jehovah your God.
