1 P or lo cual no tienes excusa, oh hombre, quienquiera que seas tú que juzgas, pues al juzgar a otro, a ti mismo te condenas, porque tú que juzgas practicas las mismas cosas.

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

2 S abemos que el juicio de Dios justamente cae sobre los que practican tales cosas.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who do such things.

3 ¿ Y piensas esto, oh hombre, tú que condenas a los que practican tales cosas y haces lo mismo, que escaparás del juicio de Dios?

And thinkest thou this, O man, who judgest those that do such things, and practisest them, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

4 ¿ O tienes en poco las riquezas de Su bondad y tolerancia y paciencia, ignorando que la bondad de Dios te guía al arrepentimiento ?

or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?

5 P ero por causa de tu terquedad y de tu corazón no arrepentido, estás acumulando ira para ti en el día de la ira y de la revelación del justo juicio de Dios.

but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in day of wrath and revelation of righteous judgment of God,

6 E l pagara a cada uno conforme a sus obras:

who shall render to each according to his works:

7 a los que por la perseverancia en hacer el bien buscan gloria, honor e inmortalidad: vida eterna;

to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.

8 p ero a los que son ambiciosos y no obedecen a la verdad, sino que obedecen a la injusticia: ira e indignación.

But to those that are contentious, and are disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation,

9 H abrá tribulación y angustia para toda alma humana que hace lo malo, del Judío primeramente y también del Griego;

tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that works evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;

10 p ero gloria y honor y paz para todo el que hace lo bueno, al Judío primeramente, y también al Griego.

but glory and honour and peace to every one that works good, both to Jew first and to Greek:

11 P orque en Dios no hay acepción de personas.

for there is no acceptance of persons with God.

12 P ues todos los que han pecado sin la Ley, sin la Ley también perecerán; y todos los que han pecado bajo la Ley, por la Ley serán juzgados.

For as many as have sinned without law shall perish also without law; and as many as have sinned under law shall be judged by law,

13 P orque no son los oidores de la Ley los justos ante Dios, sino los que cumplen la Ley; ésos serán justificados.

(for not the hearers of the law just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 P orque cuando los Gentiles, que no tienen la Ley, cumplen por instinto (hacen por naturaleza) los dictados de la Ley, ellos, no teniendo la Ley, son una ley para sí mismos.

For when nations, which have no law, practise by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves;

15 P orque muestran la obra de la Ley escrita en sus corazones, su conciencia dando testimonio, y sus pensamientos acusándolos unas veces y otras defendiéndolos,

who shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts accusing or else excusing themselves between themselves;)

16 e l día en que, según mi evangelio, Dios juzgará los secretos de los hombres mediante Cristo Jesús. La Ley y el Pueblo Judío

in day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.

17 P ero si tú, que llevas el nombre de Judío y te apoyas en la Ley; que te glorías en Dios

But if thou art named a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast in God,

18 y conoces Su voluntad; que apruebas las cosas que son esenciales, siendo instruido por la Ley,

and knowest the will, and discerningly approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

19 y te confías en que eres guía de los ciegos, luz de los que están en tinieblas,

and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who in darkness,

20 i nstructor de los necios, maestro de los faltos de madurez; que tienes en la Ley la expresión misma del conocimiento y de la verdad,

an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of truth in the law:

21 t ú, pues, que enseñas a otro, ¿no te enseñas a ti mismo? Tú que predicas (proclamas) que no se debe robar, ¿robas ?

thou then that teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that preachest not to steal, dost thou steal?

22 T ú que dices que no se debe cometer adulterio, ¿adulteras? Tú que abominas a los ídolos, ¿saqueas templos? (¿cometes sacrilegio?)

thou that sayest not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 T ú que te jactas de la Ley, ¿violando la Ley deshonras a Dios?

thou who boastest in law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonour God?

24 P orque tal como está escrito: “el nombre de Dios es blasfemado entre los gentiles por causa de ustedes.”

For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.

25 P ues ciertamente la circuncisión es de valor si tú practicas la Ley, pero si eres transgresor de la Ley, tu circuncisión se ha vuelto incircuncisión.

For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.

26 P or tanto, si el incircunciso cumple los requisitos de la Ley, ¿no se considerará su incircuncisión como circuncisión ?

If therefore the uncircumcision keep the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision,

27 Y si el que es físicamente incircunciso guarda la Ley, ¿no te juzgará a ti, que aunque tienes la letra de la Ley y eres circuncidado, eres transgresor de la Ley?

and uncircumcision by nature, fulfilling the law, judge thee, who, with letter and circumcision, a law-transgressor?

28 P orque no es Judío el que lo es exteriormente, ni la circuncisión es la externa, en la carne.

For he is not a Jew who one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;

29 P ues es Judío el que lo es interiormente, y la circuncisión es la del corazón, por el Espíritu, no por la letra; la alabanza del cual no procede de los hombres, sino de Dios.

but he a Jew inwardly; and circumcision, of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise not of men, but of God.
