1 I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.

Por siempre cantaré de las misericordias del Señor; Con mi boca daré a conocer Tu fidelidad a todas las generaciones.

2 F or I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.

Porque dije: “Para siempre será edificada la misericordia; En los cielos mismos establecerás Tu fidelidad.”

3 I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:

“Yo he hecho un pacto con Mi escogido, He jurado a David Mi siervo:

4 T hy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

Estableceré tu descendencia para siempre, Y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones.” (Selah)

5 A nd the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.

Los cielos alabarán Tus maravillas, Señor, Y también Tu fidelidad en la asamblea de los santos.

6 F or who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?

Porque, ¿quién en el firmamento se puede comparar al Señor ? ¿Quién entre los hijos de los poderosos es como el Señor,

7 G od is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.

Dios es muy temido en el consejo de los santos, E imponente sobre todos los que están en Su derredor?

8 J ehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

Oh Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como Tú, poderoso Señor ? Tu fidelidad también Te rodea.

9 T hou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.

Tú dominas la soberbia del mar; Cuando sus olas se levantan, Tú las calmas.

10 T hou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

Tú aplastaste a Egipto como a uno herido de muerte; Esparciste a Tus enemigos con Tu brazo poderoso.

11 T hine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, thou hast founded them.

Tuyos son los cielos, Tuya también la tierra; El mundo y todo lo que en él hay, Tú lo fundaste.

12 T he north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.

El norte y el sur, Tú los creaste; El Tabor y el Hermón aclamarán con gozo a Tu nombre.

13 T hine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.

Tú tienes un brazo fuerte; Tu mano es poderosa, Tu diestra es exaltada.

14 R ighteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.

La justicia y el derecho son el fundamento de Tu trono; La misericordia y la verdad van delante de Ti.

15 B lessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

¡Cuán bienaventurado es el pueblo que sabe lo que es la voz de júbilo! Andan, Señor, a la luz de Tu rostro.

16 I n thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.

En Tu nombre se regocijan todo el día, Y por Tu justicia son enaltecidos.

17 F or thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

Porque Tú eres la gloria de su potencia, Y por Tu gracia es exaltado nuestro poder.

18 F or Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.

Pues del Señor es nuestro escudo, Y del Santo de Israel nuestro rey.

19 T hen thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Una vez hablaste en visión a Tus santos, Y dijiste: “He ayudado a un poderoso; He exaltado a uno escogido de entre el pueblo.

20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

He hallado a David Mi siervo; Lo he ungido con Mi óleo santo,

21 W ith whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.

Y con él estará siempre Mi mano; Mi brazo también lo fortalecerá.

22 N o enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;

No lo engañará el enemigo, Ni lo afligirá el hijo de maldad.

23 B ut I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.

Sino que Yo aplastaré a sus adversarios delante de él, Y heriré a los que lo aborrecen.

24 A nd my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.

Con él estarán Mi fidelidad y Mi misericordia, Y en Mi nombre será exaltado su poder.

25 A nd I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

Pondré también su mano sobre el mar Y su diestra sobre los ríos.

26 H e shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation;

El clamará a Mí: ‘Mi Padre eres Tú, Mi Dios y la roca de mi salvación.’

27 A nd as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

Yo también lo haré Mi primogénito, El más excelso de los reyes de la tierra.

28 M y loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;

Para siempre conservaré Mi misericordia hacia él, Y Mi pacto le será confirmado.

29 A nd I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

Así estableceré su descendencia para siempre Y su trono como los días de los cielos.

30 I f his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;

Si sus hijos abandonan Mi ley Y no andan en Mis juicios,

31 I f they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

Si violan Mis estatutos Y no guardan Mis mandamientos,

32 T hen will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

Entonces castigaré con vara su transgresión Y con azotes su iniquidad.

33 N evertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;

Pero no quitaré de él Mi misericordia, Ni obraré falsamente en Mi fidelidad.

34 M y covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

No quebrantaré Mi pacto, Ni cambiaré la palabra de Mis labios.

35 O nce have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:

Una vez he jurado por Mi santidad; No mentiré a David.

36 H is seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;

Su descendencia será para siempre, Y su trono como el sol delante de Mí.

37 I t shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. Selah.

Será establecido para siempre como la luna, Fiel testigo en el cielo.” (Selah)

38 B ut thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:

Pero Tú lo has rechazado y desechado, Contra Tu ungido Te has enfurecido.

39 T hou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:

Has despreciado el pacto de Tu siervo; Has profanado su corona echándola por tierra.

40 T hou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

Has derribado todos sus muros; Has convertido en ruinas sus fortalezas.

41 A ll that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.

Todos los que pasan por el camino lo saquean; Ha venido a ser una afrenta para sus vecinos.

42 T hou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:

Tú has exaltado la diestra de sus adversarios; Has hecho que se regocijen todos sus enemigos.

43 Y ea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.

Has retirado también el filo de su espada, Y no le has hecho estar firme en la batalla.

44 T hou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;

Has hecho cesar su esplendor, Y has echado por tierra su trono.

45 T he days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

Has acortado los días de su juventud; Lo has cubierto de ignominia. (Selah)

46 H ow long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?

¿Hasta cuándo, Señor ? ¿Te esconderás para siempre ? ¿Arderá como el fuego Tu furor ?

47 R emember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?

Recuerda cuán breve es mi vida; ¡Con qué propósito vano has creado a todos los hijos de los hombres!

48 W hat man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.

¿Qué hombre podrá vivir y no ver la muerte ? ¿Podrá librar su alma del poder del Seol? (Selah)

49 W here, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

¿Dónde están, Señor, Tus misericordias de antes, Que en Tu fidelidad juraste a David ?

50 R emember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants—that I bear in my bosom all the mighty peoples—

Recuerda, Señor, el oprobio de Tus siervos; Cómo llevo dentro de mí el oprobio de muchos pueblos,

51 W herewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

Con el cual Tus enemigos, oh Señor, han injuriado, Con el cual han injuriado los pasos de Tu ungido.

52 B lessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.

¡Bendito sea el Señor para siempre! Amén y amén.
