1 A nd the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of Jehovah's house, which looketh eastward; and behold, at the door of the gate were five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

Entonces el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa del Señor que mira al oriente. Y a la entrada de la puerta había veinticinco hombres, y entre ellos vi a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, jefes del pueblo.

2 A nd he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and give wicked counsel in this city:

Y Dios me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que traman iniquidad y dan malos consejos en esta ciudad,

3 w ho say, It is not the time to build houses: this is the cauldron, and we are the flesh.

los cuales dicen: ‘¿No está cerca el tiempo de edificar casas? Esta ciudad es la olla y nosotros la carne.’

4 T herefore prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man.

Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos, profetiza, hijo de hombre.”

5 A nd the Spirit of Jehovah fell on me, and said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; and the things that come into your mind, I know them.

Entonces el Espíritu del Señor cayó sobre mí, y me ordenó que dijera: “Así dice el Señor: ‘Así han dicho ustedes, casa de Israel, Yo conozco sus pensamientos.

6 Y e have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.

Han multiplicado sus muertos en esta ciudad, han llenado sus calles de muertos.”

7 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and it is the cauldron; but you will I bring forth out of the midst of it.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: “Sus muertos, los que han dejado en medio de la ciudad, son la carne, y ella es la olla; pero Yo los sacaré de ella.

8 Y e have feared the sword, and I will bring a sword upon you, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Han temido la espada, y espada traeré sobre ustedes,” declara el Señor Dios.

9 A nd I will bring you out of the midst of it, and give you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

“Los sacaré de en medio de la ciudad, los entregaré en manos de extraños y traeré juicios contra ustedes.

10 Y e shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the borders of Israel; and ye shall know that I Jehovah.

A espada caerán; en los confines de Israel los juzgaré; y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.

11 T his shall not be your cauldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst of it: I will judge you in the borders of Israel;

Esta ciudad no será olla para ustedes, ni ustedes serán carne en medio de ella; hacia los confines de Israel los juzgaré.

12 a nd ye shall know that I Jehovah, in whose statutes ye have not walked, neither have done mine ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.

Así sabrán que Yo soy el Señor; porque no han andado en Mis estatutos ni han cumplido Mis ordenanzas, sino que han obrado conforme a las costumbres de las naciones que los rodean.”’”

13 A nd it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. And I fell down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

Y mientras yo profetizaba, Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, murió. Entonces caí sobre mi rostro, y clamé a gran voz: “¡Ah, Señor Dios! ¿Vas a acabar por completo con el remanente de Israel ?”

14 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Entonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

15 S on of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, the whole of it, unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem say, Get you far from Jehovah: unto us is this land given for a possession.

“Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus parientes, los hombres en el destierro contigo y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, son aquéllos a quienes los habitantes de Jerusalén han dicho: ‘Aléjense del Señor; a nosotros se nos ha dado esta tierra en posesión.’

16 T herefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Although I have removed them far off among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.

Por tanto, di: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Aunque los había echado lejos entre las naciones, y aunque Yo los había dispersado por las tierras, sin embargo fui para ellos un santuario por poco tiempo en las tierras adonde habían ido.”’

17 T herefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye are scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

Por tanto di: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Yo los recogeré de entre los pueblos y los reuniré de las tierras entre las cuales han sido dispersados, y les daré la tierra de Israel.”’

18 A nd they shall come thither, and they shall take away from thence all its detestable things and all its abominations.

“Cuando lleguen allí, quitarán de ella todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus abominaciones.

19 A nd I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;

Yo les daré un solo corazón y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos. Y quitaré de su carne el corazón de piedra y les daré un corazón de carne,

20 t hat they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

para que anden en Mis estatutos, guarden Mis ordenanzas y los cumplan. Entonces serán Mi pueblo y Yo seré su Dios.

21 B ut as for them whose heart walketh well-pleased with their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Pero en cuanto a aquéllos cuyo corazón va detrás de sus cosas detestables y abominaciones, haré recaer su conducta sobre su cabeza,” declara el Señor Dios.

22 A nd the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

Entonces los querubines alzaron sus alas con las ruedas a su lado, y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima, sobre ellos.

23 A nd the glory of Jehovah went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

La gloria del Señor se elevó de en medio de la ciudad, y se detuvo sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

24 A nd the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity; and the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Y el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a Caldea (Babilonia), a los desterrados, en visión por el Espíritu de Dios. Y se alejó de mí la visión que había visto.

25 A nd I spoke unto them of the captivity all the things that Jehovah had shewn me.

Entonces hablé a los desterrados de todas las cosas que el Señor me había mostrado.
