1 W hy boastest thou thyself in evil, thou mighty man? The loving-kindness of God continually.

2 T hy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit.

3 T hou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4 T hou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!

Amas toda palabra destructora, Oh lengua de engaño.

5 G od shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

Pero Dios te destruirá para siempre; Te arrebatará y te arrancará de tu tienda, Y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah)

6 T he righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him,

Los justos verán esto y temerán, Y se reirán de él, diciendo:

7 B ehold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, strengthened himself in his avarice.

“Ese es el hombre que no quiso hacer de Dios su refugio, Sino que confió en la abundancia de sus riquezas Y se hizo fuerte en sus malos deseos.”

8 B ut as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

Pero yo soy como olivo verde en la casa de Dios; En la misericordia de Dios confío eternamente y para siempre.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.

Te daré gracias para siempre por lo que has hecho, Y esperaré en Tu nombre, porque es bueno delante de Tus santos.
