1 O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God:

Oh Dios, no permanezcas en silencio; No calles, oh Dios, ni Te quedes quieto.

2 F or behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.

Porque, Tus enemigos rugen, Y los que Te aborrecen se han enaltecido.

3 T hey take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:

Hacen planes astutos contra Tu pueblo, Y juntos conspiran contra Tus protegidos.

4 T hey say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.

Han dicho: “Vengan, y destruyámoslos como nación, Para que ya no haya memoria del nombre de Israel.”

5 F or they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.

Porque de corazón han conspirado a una; Hacen pacto contra Ti:

6 T he tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;

Las tiendas de Edom y de los Ismaelitas, Moab y los Agarenos,

7 G ebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Gebal, Amón y Amalec, Filistea con los habitantes de Tiro;

8 A sshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.

Asiria también se ha unido a ellos; Se han convertido en ayuda para los hijos de Lot. (Selah)

9 D o unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:

Trátalos como a Madián, Como a Sísara, como a Jabín en el torrente Cisón,

10 W ho were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.

Que fueron destruidos en Endor, Que quedaron como estiércol para la tierra.

11 M ake their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.

Pon a sus nobles como a Oreb y Zeeb, Y a todos sus príncipes como a Zeba y Zalmuna,

12 F or they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.

Que dijeron: “Apoderémonos De los prados de Dios.”

13 O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.

Oh Dios mío, ponlos como polvo en remolino; Como paja ante el viento.

14 A s fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,

Como fuego que consume el bosque, Y como llama que incendia las montañas,

15 S o pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.

Así persíguelos con Tu tempestad, Y aterrorízalos con Tu torbellino.

16 F ill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

Cubre sus rostros de vergüenza, Para que busquen Tu nombre, oh Señor.

17 L et them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:

Sean avergonzados y turbados para siempre; Sean humillados y perezcan,

18 T hat they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.

Para que sepan que sólo Tú, que Te llamas el Señor, Eres el Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.
