1 A nd it shall be when thou comest into the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein,

“Cuando entres en la tierra que el Señor tu Dios te da por herencia, tomes posesión de ella y habites en ella,

2 t hat thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which thou shalt bring of thy land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place that Jehovah thy God will choose to cause his name to dwell there;

tomarás las primicias de todos los frutos del suelo que recojas de la tierra que el Señor tu Dios te da, y las pondrás en una canasta e irás al lugar que el Señor tu Dios escoja para establecer Su nombre.

3 a nd thou shalt come unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto Jehovah thy God, that I am come unto the land that Jehovah swore unto our fathers to give us.

Te presentarás al sacerdote que esté en funciones en esos días y le dirás: ‘Declaro hoy al Señor mi Dios que he entrado en la tierra que el Señor juró a nuestros padres que nos daría.’

4 A nd the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of Jehovah thy God.

Entonces el sacerdote tomará la canasta de tu mano, y la pondrá delante del altar del Señor tu Dios.

5 A nd thou shalt speak and say before Jehovah thy God, A perishing Aramean was my father, and he went down to Egypt with a few, and sojourned there, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

Y tú responderás delante del Señor tu Dios: ‘Mi padre fue un Arameo errante y descendió a Egipto y residió allí, siendo pocos en número; pero allí llegó a ser una nación grande, fuerte y numerosa.

6 A nd the Egyptians evil-entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage;

Pero los Egipcios nos maltrataron y nos afligieron y pusieron sobre nosotros dura servidumbre.

7 a nd we cried to Jehovah, the God of our fathers, and Jehovah heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression;

Entonces clamamos al Señor, el Dios de nuestros padres, y el Señor oyó nuestra voz y vio nuestra aflicción, nuestro trabajo y nuestra opresión.

8 a nd Jehovah brought us forth out of Egypt with a powerful hand, and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders;

Y el Señor nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte y brazo extendido, con gran terror, con señales y milagros;

9 a nd he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey!

y nos ha traído a este lugar y nos ha dado esta tierra, una tierra que mana leche y miel.

10 A nd now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruits of the land, which thou, Jehovah, hast given me. And thou shalt set it down before Jehovah thy God, and worship before Jehovah thy God.

‘Ahora, yo he traído las primicias de los frutos de la tierra que Tú, oh Señor, me has dado.’ Entonces las pondrás delante del Señor tu Dios, y adorarás delante del Señor tu Dios;

11 A nd thou shalt rejoice in all the good that Jehovah thy God hath given to thee, and to thy house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is in thy midst.

y tú te alegrarás, y también el Levita y el extranjero que está en medio de ti, por todo el bien que el Señor tu Dios te ha dado a ti y a tu casa. Los Diezmos de un Pueblo Consagrado

12 W hen thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thy produce in the third year, the year of tithing, thou shalt give it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat in thy gates, and be filled;

“Cuando acabes de separar todo el diezmo de tus frutos en el tercer año, el año del diezmo, entonces se lo darás al Levita, al extranjero, al huérfano y a la viuda, para que puedan comer en tus ciudades y sean saciados.

13 a nd thou shalt say before Jehovah thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of the house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me; I have not transgressed nor forgotten of thy commandments:

Entonces dirás delante del Señor tu Dios: ‘He sacado de mi casa la porción consagrada y también la he dado al Levita, al extranjero, al huérfano y a la viuda conforme a todos Tus mandamientos que Tú me has mandado. No he violado ni olvidado ninguno de Tus mandamientos.

14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I brought away thereof in uncleanness, nor given thereof for a dead person; I have hearkened to the voice of Jehovah my God; I have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

No he comido de ella estando de luto, ni he tomado de ella mientras estaba inmundo, ni he ofrecido de ella a los muertos. He escuchado la voz del Señor mi Dios; he hecho conforme a todo lo que Tú me has mandado.

15 L ook down from thy holy habitation, from the heavens, and bless thy people Israel, and the land that thou hast given us as thou didst swear unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey!

Mira desde Tu morada santa, desde el cielo, y bendice a Tu pueblo Israel y a la tierra que nos has dado, una tierra que mana leche y miel, como juraste a nuestros padres.’

16 T his day Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and ordinances; and thou shalt keep and do them with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

“El Señor tu Dios te manda hoy que cumplas estos estatutos y ordenanzas. Cuidarás, pues, de cumplirlos con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.

17 T hou hast this day accepted Jehovah to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and to hearken unto his voice;

Has declarado hoy que el Señor es tu Dios y que andarás en Sus caminos y guardarás Sus estatutos, Sus mandamientos y Sus ordenanzas, y que escucharás Su voz.

18 a nd Jehovah hath accepted thee this day to be a people of possession to him, as he hath told thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments,

Y el Señor ha declarado hoy que tú eres Su pueblo, Su exclusiva posesión, como El te prometió, y que debes guardar todos Sus mandamientos;

19 s o that he should make thee high above all the nations which he hath made, in praise and in name and in honour; and that thou shouldest be a holy people to Jehovah thy God, as he hath said.

y que El te pondrá en alto sobre todas las naciones que ha hecho, para alabanza, renombre y honor; y serás un pueblo consagrado al Señor tu Dios, como El ha dicho.”
