1 C ome and let us return unto Jehovah: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

“Vengan, volvamos al Señor. Pues El nos ha desgarrado, pero nos sanará; Nos ha herido, pero nos vendará.

2 A fter two days will he revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before his face;

Nos dará vida después de dos días, Al tercer día nos levantará Y viviremos delante de El.

3 a nd we shall know,—we shall follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is assured as the morning dawn; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain which watereth the earth.

Conozcamos, pues, esforcémonos por conocer al Señor. Su salida es tan cierta como la aurora, Y El vendrá a nosotros como la lluvia, Como la lluvia de primavera que riega la tierra.”

4 W hat shall I do unto thee, Ephraim? What shall I do unto thee, Judah? For your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that early passeth away.

¿Qué haré contigo, Efraín ? ¿Qué haré contigo, Judá? Porque la lealtad (misericordia) de ustedes es como nube matinal, Y como el rocío, que temprano desaparece.

5 T herefore have I hewed by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and my judgment goeth forth as the light.

Por tanto los he despedazado por medio de los profetas, Los he matado con las palabras de Mi boca; Los juicios sobre ti son como la luz que sale.

6 F or I delight in loving-kindness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

Porque Me deleito más en la lealtad (misericordia) que en el sacrificio, Y en el conocimiento de Dios que en los holocaustos.

7 B ut they like Adam have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

Pero ellos, como Adán (la humanidad), han transgredido el pacto; Allí Me han traicionado.

8 G ilead is a city of them that work iniquity; it is tracked with blood.

Galaad es ciudad de malhechores, Con huellas de sangre.

9 A nd as troops of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way of Shechem; yea, they commit lewdness.

Como bandidos al acecho de un hombre, Es la banda de sacerdotes que asesina en el camino a Siquem; Ciertamente han cometido iniquidad.

10 I n the house of Israel have I seen a horrible thing: the whoredom of Ephraim is there; Israel is defiled.

En la casa de Israel he visto una cosa horrible: Allí está la prostitución de Efraín, se ha contaminado Israel.

11 A lso, for thee, Judah, is a harvest appointed, when I shall turn again the captivity of my people.

Para ti también, oh Judá, hay preparada una cosecha, Cuando Yo restaure el bienestar de Mi pueblo.
