1 O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God:

2 F or behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.

защото, ето, враговете Ти правят размирие и ненавистниците Ти са издигнали глава.

3 T hey take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:

Коварен съвет правят против Твоя народ и се наговарят против скритите Твои.

4 T hey say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.

Казаха: Елате да ги изтребим, за да не са народ и да не се споменава вече името на Израел.

5 F or they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.

Защото единодушно се съгласиха заедно, направиха съюз против Тебе -

6 T he tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;

шатрите на Едом и исмаилтяните; Моав и агаряните,

7 G ebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Гевал, Амон и Амалик, филистимците с тирските жители;

8 A sshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.

още и Асирия се съедини с тях, станаха помощници на Лотовите потомци. (Села.)

9 D o unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:

Сторѝ им като на мадиамците, като на Сисара, като на Явин при потока Кисон,

10 W ho were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.

които загинаха в Ендор, като станаха тор на земята.

11 M ake their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.

Направѝ благородните им като Орив и Зив, дори всичките им първенци като Зевей и Салман,

12 F or they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.

които казаха: Да усвоим за себе си Божиите заселища.

13 O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.

Боже мой, направи ги като въртящия се прах, като плява пред вятъра.

14 A s fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,

Както огънят изгаря дърветата и както пламъкът запалва горите,

15 S o pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.

така ги прогони с урагана Си и ги смути с бурята Си.

16 F ill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

Покрий лицата им с позор, за да потърсят Твоето име, Господи.

17 L et them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:

Нека се посрамят и ужасят завинаги. Да! Нека се смутят и погинат,

18 T hat they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.

за да познаят, че Ти, Чието име е Йехова, един си Всевишен над цялата земя.
