1 A nd there came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

Тогава при мене дойдоха и някои от Израелевите старейшини и седнаха пред мен.

2 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

И Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

3 S on of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?

Сине човешки, тези мъже прегърнаха идолите си в сърцата си и сложиха беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си; бива ли те да се допитват до Мене?

4 T herefore speak to them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, I Jehovah will answer him according to this, according to the multitude of his idols:

Затова им кажи: Така казва Господ Йехова: На всеки от Израелевия дом, който прегърне идолите си в сърцето си и сложи беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, Аз, Господ, ще му отговоря, както подобава според многото му идоли,

5 t hat I may take the house of Israel by their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

за да хвана Израелевия дом за самото им сърце, понеже те всички станаха чужди за Мене чрез идолите си.

6 T herefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Затова кажи на Израелевия дом: Така казва Господ Йехова: Покайте се, отвърнете се от идолите си, да! Отвърнете лицата си от всичките си мерзости.

7 F or every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me by him, I Jehovah will answer him by myself;

Защото на всеки от Израелевия дом или от чужденците, които са пришълци в Израел, който стане чужд за Мене, като прегърне идолите си в сърцето си и сложи беззаконието си като препънка пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, за да се допита до Мене чрез него, Аз, Господ, ще му отговоря непосредствено от Себе Си;

8 a nd I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate, for a sign and for proverbs, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people: and ye shall know that I Jehovah.

защото ще насоча лицето Си против такъв човек, ще го направя за учудване, за знамение и поговорка и ще го премахна измежду народа Си; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.

9 A nd if the prophet be enticed and shall speak a word, I Jehovah have enticed that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

И ако пророкът би се подмамил да проговори дума, Аз, Господ, подмамих този пророк; и ще простра ръката Си върху него и ще го изтребя измежду народа Си Израел.

10 A nd they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of the inquirer;

Тогава ще понесат наказанието за беззаконието си (наказанието на пророка ще бъде като наказанието на онзи, който би се допитвал чрез него),

11 t hat the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither make themselves any more unclean with all their transgressions; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.

за да не блуждае вече Израелевият дом от Мене, нито да се осквернява вече с всичките си престъпления, а да бъде Мой народ и Аз да бъде техен Бог, казва Господ Йехова.

12 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

И Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

13 S on of man, when a land sinneth against me by working unfaithfulness, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it;

Сине човешки, когато някоя земя съгреши пред Мене с коварство и Аз простра ръката Си върху нея, и строша подпорката ѝ от хляба, и пратя глад върху нея, и погубя от нея и човек, и животно,

14 t hough these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

и ако тези трима мъже, Ной, Даниил и Йов, бяха сред нея, те щяха да избавят само своите души чрез правдата си, казва Господ Йехова.

15 I f I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they bereave it, and it become a desolation, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts;

Ако бих докарал против земята люти зверове и те я обезлюдяха, за да запустее, така че да не може някой да мине през нея от зверовете,

16 — though these three men should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.

пак и тримата тези мъже, ако бяха сред нея, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, те нямаше да избавят нито синове, нито дъщери, само самите те щяха да се избавят, а земята щеше да запустее.

17 O r I bring the sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off man and beast from it,

Или ако изнесях меч върху онази земя и кажех: Мечо, мини през земята, за да изтребя от нея и човек, и животно,

18 a nd these three men should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only themselves should be delivered.

то и тримата тези мъже, ако бяха сред нея, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, те нямаше да избавят нито синове, нито дъщери, а само те щяха да се избавят.

19 O r I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,

Или ако нанесях мор върху онази земя и излеех яростта Си върху нея с кръв, за да погубя от нея и човек, и животно,

20 a nd Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

пак, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, ако бяха сред нея Ной, Даниил и Йов, те нямаше да избавят нито син, нито дъщеря, а щяха да избавят само своите души чрез правдата си;

21 F or thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!

и така (така казва Господ Йехова), колко повече, когато изпратя четирите Си сурови присъди върху Йерусалим: меча, глада, лютите зверове и мора, за да изтребя от него и човек, и животно!

22 B ut behold, there shall be left in it those that escape, who shall be brought out of, sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, as to all that I have brought upon it.

Но в него ще останат избавилите се, синове и дъщери, които ще се изнесат; ето, те ще излязат при вас и ще видите постъпките и делата им; и ще се утешите относно злото, което нанесох върху Йерусалим, да! Относно всичко, което нанесох върху него.

23 A nd they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Те ще ви утешат, когато видите постъпките и делата им; и ще познаете, че Аз не съм сторил без причина всичко това, което съм сторил в него, казва Господ Йехова.
