1 B ehold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

Ето, един цар ще царува с правда и началници ще управляват с правосъдие;

2 A nd a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the storm; as brooks of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

и всеки човек от тях ще бъде като заслон от вятър и като прибежище от буря, като водни потоци на сухо място, като сянка от голяма скала в изтощена земя.

3 A nd the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken;

Очите на виждащите няма да бъдат помрачени и ушите на слушащите ще бъдат внимателни.

4 a nd the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

Също и сърцето на безразсъдните ще разбере мъдрост и езикът на гъгнивите ще говори бързо и ясно.

5 T he vile man shall be no more called noble, nor the churl said to be bountiful:

Подлият няма да се нарича вече великодушен, нито сребролюбецът ще се прави на щедър;

6 f or the vile man will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

защото подлият ще говори подло и сърцето му ще създава беззаконие, така че да върши нечестие и да говори заблуда против Господа, за да изтощи душата на гладния и да направи питието на жадния да чезне.

7 T he instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

А на коварния средствата са зли; той измисля лукави кроежи, за да погуби сиромаха с лъжливи думи, даже когато немотният говори право.

8 B ut the noble deviseth noble things; and to noble things doth he stand.

Но великодушният измисля великодушни неща и за великодушни неща ще стои.

9 R ise up, ye women that are at ease, hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech.

Станете, вие, безгрижни жени, и слушайте гласа ми; чуйте думата ми, вие, безгрижни дъщери:

10 I n a year and days shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.

За една година и няколко дни ще бъдете смущавани, вие, безгрижни; защото гроздоберът ще чезне, беритбата няма да настане.

11 T remble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird on your loins!

Треперете, вие, охолни; смутете се, вие, нехайни; съблечете се и се оголете, и опашете кръста си с вретище.

12 T hey shall smite on the breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vineyards.

Те ще се бият в гърди за приятни полета, за плодородните лозя.

13 U pon the land of my people shall come up thistles briars, yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city.

Тръни и глогове ще растат в земята на народа Ми, още - и върху всички къщи, където се веселят във веселящия се град;

14 F or the palace shall be deserted, the multitude of the city shall be forsaken; hill and watchtower shall be caves for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

защото палатът ще бъде изоставен, шумният град ще бъде напуснат, крепостта и кулата ще станат завинаги пещери - наслаждение на диви осли, пасбище на стада,

15 u ntil the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

докато Духът се излее на нас отгоре и пустинята стане плодородно поле, и плодородното поле се сметне за гора.

16 A nd judgment shall inhabit the wilderness, and righteousness dwell in the fruitful field.

Тогава правосъдие ще се засели в пустинята и правда ще обитава в плодородното поле.

17 A nd the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.

Правдата ще донесе мир; и сетнината на правдата ще бъде покой и увереност завинаги.

18 A nd my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.

И Моят народ ще обитава в мирно селище, в утвърдени жилища и в тихи успокоителни места.

19 A nd it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

Но ще пада градушка върху падащата гора; и градът съвсем ще се сниши.

20 B lessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass.

Блажени вие, които сеете при всяка вода, които изпращате там краката на вола и на осела!
