1 A nd the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

Господнето слово дойде пак към мен и каза:

2 T hou shalt not take thee a wife, and thou shalt not have sons nor daughters in this place.

Недей си взема жена, нито да родиш синове или дъщери на това място,

3 F or thus saith Jehovah concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bear them, and concerning their fathers that beget them in this land:

защото така казва Господ за синовете и дъщерите, които се раждат на това място, и за майките, които са ги родили, и за бащите, които са ги добили в тази страна:

4 T hey shall die of painful deaths; they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung upon the face of the ground, and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine, and their carcases shall be food for the fowl of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.

Те ще умрат от разни видове люта смърт; няма да бъдат оплакани, нито погребани; ще бъдат като тор по лицето на земята; ще загинат от меч и глад и труповете им ще бъдат храна за небесните птици и земните зверове.

5 F or thus saith Jehovah: Enter not into the house of wailing, neither go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith Jehovah, the loving-kindness and the tender mercies.

Защото така казва Господ: Не влизай в дом, където има жалеене, и не ходи да ридаеш или да ги оплакваш; защото отнех мира Си от този народ, казва Господ - да! - милосърдието и щедростите Си.

6 B oth great and small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried; and none shall lament for them, or cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.

И големи, и малки ще измрат в тази страна; няма да бъдат погребани, нито ще ги оплачат, нито ще направят нарязвания по телата си, нито ще се обръснат за тях,

7 N or shall they break for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall they give them the cup of consolations to drink for their father or for their mother.

нито ще раздават хляб в жалеенето, за да ги утешат за умрелия, нито ще ги напоят с утешителната чаша за баща им или за майка им.

8 A nd thou shalt not go into the house of feasting, to sit with them, to eat and to drink.

Не влизай и в дом, където има пируване, да седиш с тях, за да ядеш и пиеш;

9 F or thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

защото така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Ето, Аз ще направя да престане в това място - пред очите ви и във вашите дни - гласът на радостта и гласът на веселието, гласът на младоженеца и гласът на невястата.

10 A nd it shall come to pass, when thou shalt declare unto this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? and what is our iniquity? and what is our sin which we have committed against Jehovah our God?

И когато известиш на този народ всички тези думи и те ти кажат: Защо Господ е изрекъл това голямо зло против нас? И какво е беззаконието ни и какъв грехът ни, който сме извършили против Господа, нашия Бог?

11 t hen shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

Тогава да им отвърнеш: Понеже бащите ви Ме изоставиха, казва Господ, и последваха други богове, служиха им и им се поклониха, а Мен изоставиха и закона Ми не опазиха;

12 a nd you, ye have done still worse than your fathers; and there ye are walking every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, not to hearken unto me:

а и вие постъпихте още по-лошо от бащите си, защото ходите всеки според упоритостта на нечестивото си сърце и не слушате Мене;

13 a nd I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land that ye know not, ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night: because I will shew you no favour.

затова ще ви изхвърля от тази страна в страна, която не сте познавали - нито вие, нито бащите ви; и там денем и нощем ще служите на други богове; понеже няма да покажа милост към вас. Предстоящо наказание на Юдея и възстановяване

14 T herefore, behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

Затова, ето, идват дни, казва Господ, когато няма вече да кажат: Заклевам се в живота на Господа, Който изведе израелтяните от Египетската земя!,

15 b ut, Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them. For I will bring them again into their land, which I gave unto their fathers.

а: Заклевам се в живота на Господа, Който изведе израелтяните от северната земя и от всички страни, където ги беше изгонил! И Аз ще ги върна пак в страната им, която дадох на бащите им.

16 B ehold, I will send for many fishers, saith Jehovah, and they shall fish them; and afterwards will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them, from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

Ето, ще пратя за много рибари, казва Господ, и ще ги изловят; и след това ще пратя за много ловци и ще ги гонят от всяка планина и от всеки хълм, и от дупките на канарите.

17 F or mine eyes are upon all their ways; they are not concealed from my face, neither is their iniquity hidden from before mine eyes.

Защото очите Ми са върху всичките им пътища; те не са скрити от лицето Ми, нито беззаконието им е скрито от очите Ми.

18 B ut first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have profaned my land with the carcases of their detestable things, and with their abominations have they filled mine inheritance.

И най-напред ще им въздам двойно за беззаконието и греха им, защото оскверниха земята Ми с труповете на гнусотиите си и с мерзостите си напълниха наследството Ми.

19 J ehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

Господи, сило моя и крепост моя, прибежище мое в скръбен ден! При Тебе ще дойдат народите от краищата на земята и ще кажат: Бащите ни не наследиха друго освен лъжи, суета и безполезни работи.

20 S hall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no-gods?

Да си направи ли човек богове, които все пак не са богове?

21 T herefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah.

Затова, ето, ще ги направя този път да познаят - ще ги направя да познаят ръката Ми и силата Ми; и те ще познаят, че името Ми е Йехова.
