1 A nd now hear, Jacob, my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen:

Но сега слушай, служителю Мой, Якове, и Израелю, когото Аз избрах:

2 t hus saith Jehovah, that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, who helpeth thee, Fear not, Jacob, my servant, and thou, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

Така казва Господ, Който те е направил и те е създал в утробата, и ще ти помага: Не бой се, служителю Мой Якове, и ти, Есуруне, когото Аз избрах,

3 F or I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.

защото ще изливам вода на жадната земя и реки - на сухата почва; ще изливам Духа Си на потомството ти и благословението Си - на рожбите ти;

4 A nd they shall spring up among the grass, as willows by the water-courses.

и те ще поникнат между тревата като върби край течащи води.

5 O ne shall say, I am Jehovah's; and another shall call by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand: Jehovah's, and surname by the name of Israel.

Един ще казва: Аз съм Господен; друг ще се нарича с Якововото име; а трети ще подписва с ръката си, че ще служи на Господа, и ще произнася с почит Израелевото име.

6 T hus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I the first, and I the last, and beside me there is no God.

Така казва Господ, Царят на Израел, неговият изкупител, Господ на Силите: Аз съм първият, Аз - и последният, и освен Мене няма Бог.

7 A nd who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the coming things, and those that shall happen, let them declare unto them.

Откак съм настанил древните народи, кой може да прогласи, както Аз? Нека възвести това и Ми го изложи; нека им известят идващите и бъдещите неща.

8 F ear not, neither be afraid. Have I not caused thee to hear from that time, and have declared it? and ye are my witnesses. Is there a +God beside me? yea, there is no Rock: I know not any.

Не бойте се, нито се страхувайте; не ти ли възвестих Аз от древността и не ти ли показах това? И вие сте Ми свидетели - има ли бог освен Мене? Наистина няма канара: Аз не познавам такъв.

9 T hey that form a graven image are all of them vanity, and their delectable things are of no profit; and they are their own witnesses: they see not, nor know;—that they may be ashamed.

Всички, които създават изваяни идоли, са за посрамване; и многожелателните им неща са безполезни; и те сами са им свидетели; не виждат, нито разбират, за да се засрамят. Безумството на идолопоклонниците

10 W ho hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

Кой е онзи, който прави един бог или излива изваян идол, и то съвсем безполезен?

11 B ehold, all his fellows shall be ashamed; and the workmen are but men. Let them all be gathered together, let them stand up: they shall fear, they shall be ashamed together.

Ето, всичките му привърженици ще се засрамят; а художниците, и те самите са хора, нека се съберат всички, нека застанат; ще се убоят, ще се засрамят всички.

12 T he iron-smith a chisel, and he worketh in the coals, and he fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm;—but he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he hath not drunk water, and he is faint.

Ковачът кове брадва, изработва я във въглищата и я оформя с чукове, работи със силните си ръце, дори огладнява и изнемощява; ако не пие вода, отслабва.

13 T he worker in wood stretcheth out a line; he marketh it out with red chalk; he formeth it with sharp tools, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of man: that it may remain in the house.

Дърводелецът опъва връв, начертава идола с тебешир, изработва го с длета, начертава го с пергел и го създава по човешки образ, според човешката красота, за да стои в къщи.

14 W hen he heweth him down cedars, he taketh also a holm-oak and a terebinth—he chooseth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth a pine, and the rain maketh grow.

Отсича си кедри и взема бор и дъб, той си беше избрал между горските дървета едно и беше насадил бор; и дъждът го е правил да расте.

15 A nd it shall be for a man to burn, and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; he kindleth it also, and baketh bread; he maketh also a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

Тогава, като е станал за горене на човека, той взема от него и се топли, още го пали и пече хляб; и от същото прави бог и му се кланя, прави го изваян идол и коленичи пред него!

16 H e burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh, he roasteth roast, and is satisfied; yea, he is warm, and saith, Aha, I am become warm, I have seen the fire.

Една част от него той изгаря в огън, с друга част готви месо да яде, изпича печиво и се насища. Грее се и казва: Ох! Стоплих се! Видях огъня!

17 A nd with the remainder thereof he maketh a god, his graven image; he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me, for thou art my god.

И от останалото от него прави бог, изваяния си идол. Коленичи пред него и му се кланя, и му се моли: Избави ме, защото ти си мой бог!

18 T hey have no knowledge, and understand not; for he hath plastered their eyes, that they may not see; and their hearts, that they may not understand.

Те не знаят, нито разсъждават; защото очите им са замазани, за да не гледат, и сърцата им - за да не разбират.

19 A nd none taketh it to heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire, and have also baked bread upon the coals thereof, I have roasted flesh, and eaten, and with the rest thereof shall I make an abomination? shall I bow down to a block of wood?

И никой не взема на сърцето си, нито има знание или разум, за да каже: Част от него изгорих на огън, още и хляб изпекох на въглищата му, опекох и месо и ядох; и да направя ли от останалото от него гнусота? Да се поклоня ли на нещо, станало от дърво?

20 H e feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Той се храни с пепел; измамното му сърце го заблуждава и не може да отърве душата си, нито да каже: Това нещо в ръката ми не е ли лъжа? Господ е Творец и Спасител

21 R emember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for thou art my servant; I have formed thee: thou art my servant, Israel; thou shalt not be forgotten of me.

Помни това, Якове и Израелю, защото си Ми слуга; Аз те създадох; Мой слуга си; Израелю, няма да бъдеш забравен от Мен;

22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

изличих като гъста мъгла престъпленията ти и като облак - греховете ти; върни се при мене, защото Аз те изкупих.

23 S ing, ye heavens; for Jehovah hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, ye mountains, the forest, and every tree therein! For Jehovah hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.

Възпей радостно, небе, защото Господ извърши това; възкликнете, дълбини на земята; запейте весело, планини, гори и всички дървета в тях, защото Господ изкупи Яков и се прослави в Израел.

24 T hus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb: I Jehovah, the maker of all things; who alone stretched out the heavens, who did spread forth the earth by myself;

Така казва Господ, изкупителят ти, Който те е образувал в утробата: Аз съм Господ, Който извърших всичко; Който сам разпрострях небето и сам разстлах земята;

25 — he that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

Който осуетявам знаменията на лъжците и правя да обезумеят прорицателите; Който преобръщам мъдрите и обръщам знанието им в глупост;

26 t hat confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built up, and I will raise up their ruins;

Който потвърждавам думата на Своя слуга и изпълнявам изявеното от Моите пратеници; Който казвам за Йерусалим: Ще бъде населен, и за градовете на Юдея: Ще бъдат съградени, и Аз ще възстановя разрушеното в него;

27 t hat saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers;

Който казвам на бездната: Изсъхни и Аз ще пресуша реките ти;

28 t hat saith of Cyrus, my shepherd, and he shall perform all my pleasure; even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

Който казвам за Кир: Той е Моят овчар, който ще изпълни всичко, което Ми е угодно, даже когато кажа на Йерусалим: Ще бъде съграден, и на храма: Ще бъдат положени основите ти.
