1 N ow there were in Antioch, in the assembly which was, prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, and Manaen, foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

А в антиохийската църква имаше пророци и учители: Варнава, Симеон, наречен Нигер, киринеецът Луций, Манаин, който беше възпитан заедно с четвъртовластника Ирод, и Савел.

2 A nd as they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me now Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.

И като служеха на Господа и постеха, Святият Дух каза: Отделете ми Варнава и Савел за работата, на която съм ги призовал.

3 T hen, having fasted and prayed, and having laid hands on them, they let go.

Тогава, като постиха и се помолиха, положиха ръце на тях и ги изпратиха. Апостолите Савел и Варнава в Кипър

4 T hey therefore, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and thence sailed away to Cyprus.

И така те, изпратени от Святия Дух, слязоха в Селевкия и оттам отплуваха за Кипър.

5 A nd being in Salamis, they announced the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also as attendant.

И когато бяха в Саламин, проповядваха Божието слово в юдейските синагоги; и имаха Йоан за свой прислужник.

6 A nd having passed through the whole island as far as Paphos, they found a certain man a magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus,

И като преминаха целия остров до Пафос, намериха някой си магьосник, лъжепророк, юдеин на име Вариисус,

7 w ho was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. He, having called Barnabas and Saul to, desired to hear the word of God.

който беше с управителя Сергий Павел, един разумен човек. Той, последният, повика Варнава и Савел и поиска да чуе Божието слово.

8 B ut Elymas the magician (for so his name is by interpretation) opposed them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith.

Но магьосникът Елима (защото така се превежда името му) им се противеше и се стараеше да отвърне управителя от вярата.

9 B ut Saul, who also Paul, filled with Holy Spirit, fixing his eyes upon him,

Но Савел, който се наричаше и Павел, изпълнен със Святия Дух, се вгледа в него и каза:

10 s aid, O full of all deceit and all craft: son of devil, enemy of all righteousness; wilt thou not cease perverting the right paths of Lord?

О, ти, пълен с всякакво коварство и с всякакво лукавство, сине дяволски, враг на всичко, което е право, няма ли да престанеш да изкривяваш правите пътища на Господа?

11 A nd now behold, Lord's hand upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell upon him a mist and darkness; and going about he sought persons who should lead him by the hand.

И сега, ето, Господнята ръка е върху тебе; ти ще ослепееш и няма да виждаш слънцето за известно време. И в същия миг падна върху него тъма и мрак; и той се луташе, като търсеше някой да го води за ръка.

12 T hen the proconsul, seeing what had happened, believed, being amazed at the teaching of the Lord.

Тогава управителят, като видя станалото, повярва, смаян от Господнето учение. Проповедта в Антиохия Писидийска

13 A nd having sailed from Paphos, Paul and his company came to Perga of Pamphylia; and John separated from them and returned to Jerusalem.

А Павел и спътниците му, като отплуваха от Пафос, дойдоха в Перга Памфилийска; а Йоан се отдели от тях и се върна в Йерусалим.

14 B ut they, passing through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia; and entering into the synagogue on the sabbath day they sat down.

А те тръгнаха от Перга и пристигнаха в Антиохия Писидийска; и в съботния ден влязоха в синагогата и седнаха.

15 A nd after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation to the people, speak.

И след прочитането на закона и пророците, началниците на синагогата пратиха до тях да им кажат: Братя, ако имате някоя увещателна дума за народа, кажете.

16 A nd Paul, rising up and making a sign with the hand, said, Israelites, and ye that fear God, hearken.

Така Павел стана, помаха с ръка и каза: Израелтяни, и вие, които се боите от Бога, слушайте.

17 T he God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people in their sojourn in land of Egypt, and with a high arm brought them out of it,

Бог на този Израелски народ избра бащите ни и издигна народа, когато престояваха в Египетската земя, и с издигната ръка ги изведе от нея.

18 a nd for a time of about forty years he nursed them in the desert.

И за около четиридесет години ги води и храни в пустинята.

19 A nd having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance.

И като изтреби седем народа в Ханаанската земя, раздели им тяхната земя, за да им бъде наследство за около четиристотин и петдесет години.

20 A nd after these things he gave judges till Samuel the prophet, about four hundred and fifty years.

След това им даваше съдии до пророк Самуил.

21 A nd then they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul, son of Kis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, during forty years.

После поискаха цар; и Бог им даде Саул, сина на Кис, мъж от Вениаминовото племе, за четиридесет години.

22 A nd having removed him he raised up to them David for king, of whom also bearing witness he said, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who shall do all my will.

И него като отстрани, издигна им за цар Давид, за когото свидетелства, като каза: "Намерих Давид, Есеевия син, човек според сърцето Ми, който ще изпълни цялата Ми воля."

23 O f this man's seed according to promise has God brought to Israel a Saviour, Jesus;

От неговото потомство Бог според обещанието Си издигна на Израел Спасител, Исус,

24 J ohn having proclaimed before the face of his entry baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

след като Йоан преди Неговото идване беше проповядвал кръщението за покаяние на целия Израелев народ.

25 A nd as John was fulfilling his course he said, Whom do ye suppose that I am? I am not. But behold, there comes one after me, the sandal of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.

И като свършваше попрището си, Йоан казваше: Кой си мислите, че съм аз? Не съм Онзи, Когото очаквате; но ето, след мен иде Един, на Когото не съм достоен да развържа обувките на нозете.

26 B rethren, sons of Abraham's race, and those who among you fear God, to you has the word of this salvation been sent:

Братя, синове от Авраамовия род, и онези между вас, които се боят от Бога, на нас бе изпратена вестта за това спасение.

27 f or those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known him, have fulfilled also the voices of the prophets which are read on every sabbath, judging.

Защото жителите на Йерусалим и техните началници, като не Го познаха, а без да разберат пророческите думи, които се прочитат всяка събота, ги изпълниха, като Го осъдиха.

28 A nd having found no cause of death, they begged of Pilate that he might be slain.

Без да намерят в Него нищо, достойно за смърт, те настояваха пред Пилат да Го погуби.

29 A nd when they had fulfilled all things written concerning him, they took him down from the cross and put him in a sepulchre;

И когато изпълниха всичко, което беше писано за Него, Го снеха от дървото и Го положиха в гроб.

30 b ut God raised him from among dead,

Но Бог Го възкреси от мъртвите.

31 w ho appeared for many days to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

И Той в продължение на много дни се явяваше на тези, които бяха дошли с Него от Галилея в Йерусалим, които сега са свидетели за Него пред народа.

32 A nd we declare unto you the glad tidings of the promise made to the fathers,

И ние ви донесохме блага вест за обещанието, дадено на бащите ни,

33 t hat God has fulfilled this to us their children, having raised up Jesus; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee.

че Бог го изпълни спрямо техните деца, като възкреси Исус; както е писано и във втория Псалом: "Ти си Мой Син, Аз днес Те родих."

34 B ut that he raised him from among dead, no more to return to corruption, he spoke thus: I will give to you the faithful mercies of David.

А че Го е възкресил от мъртвите, за да не се връща никога повече в тление, казва така: "Ще ви дам верните милости, обещани на Давид."

35 W herefore also he says in another, Thou wilt not suffer thy gracious one to see corruption.

Защото и в друг Псалом казва: "Няма да оставиш Твоя Светия да види тление."

36 F or David indeed, having in his own generation ministered to the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers and saw corruption.

Защото Давид, след като беше послужил на Божието намерение в своето поколение, заспа и бе положен при бащите си, и видя тление.

37 B ut he whom God raised up did not see corruption.

А Този, Когото Бог възкреси, не видя тление.

38 B e it known unto you, therefore, brethren, that through this man remission of sins is preached to you,

И така, братя, нека ви бъде известно, че чрез Него се проповядва на вас прощение на греховете;

39 a nd from all things from which ye could not be justified in the law of Moses, in him every one that believes is justified.

и че всеки, който вярва, се оправдава чрез Него от всичко, от което не сте могли да се оправдаете чрез Моисеевия закон.

40 S ee therefore that that which is spoken in the prophets do not come upon,

Затова внимавайте да не би да ви постигне казаното от пророците:

41 B ehold, ye despisers, and wonder and perish; for I work a work in your days, a work which ye will in no wise believe if one declare it to you.

"Погледнете, презрители, изумете се и погинете; защото Аз ще извърша едно дело във вашите дни, дело, което никак няма да повярвате, дори и да ви го разкаже някой."

42 A nd as they went out they begged that these words might be spoken to them the ensuing sabbath.

Когато си излизаха от юдейската синагога, езичниците ги молиха да им се проповядват тези думи и следващата събота.

43 A nd the congregation of the synagogue having broken up, many of the Jews and of the worshipping proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

И когато се разотиде синагогата, мнозина от юдеите и от благочестивите прозелити тръгнаха след Павел и Варнава, които, като беседваха с тях, ги увещаваха да постоянстват в Божията благодат.

44 A nd on the coming sabbath almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God.

На следващата събота се събра почти целият град да чуе Божието слово.

45 B ut the Jews, seeing the crowds, were filled with envy, and contradicted the things said by Paul, speaking injuriously.

А юдеите, като видяха множествата, се изпълниха със завист, опровергаваха това, което говореше Павел, и хулеха.

46 A nd Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken to you; but, since ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the nations;

Но Павел и Варнава говориха дръзновено и казаха: Нужно беше да се проповядва първо на вас Божието слово, но понеже го отхвърляте и смятате себе си недостойни за вечния живот, ето, обръщаме се към езичниците.

47 f or thus has the Lord enjoined us: I have set thee for a light of the nations, that thou shouldest be for salvation to the end of the earth.

Защото така ни заповяда Господ, като каза: "Поставих Те за светлина на народите, за да бъдеш за спасение до края на земята."

48 A nd the nations, hearing it, rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord, and believed, as many as were ordained to eternal life.

И езичниците, като слушаха това, се радваха и славеха Божието учение; и повярваха всички, които бяха отредени за вечния живот.

49 A nd the word of the Lord was carried through the whole country.

И Господнето учение се разпространяваше по цялата тази страна.

50 B ut the Jews excited the women of the upper classes who were worshippers, and the first people of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their coasts.

А юдеите подбудиха набожните високопоставени жени и градските първенци и като повдигнаха гонение против Павел и Варнава, ги изгониха от пределите си.

51 B ut they, having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium.

А те отърсиха против тях праха от краката си и дойдоха в Икония.

52 A nd the disciples were filled with joy and Holy Spirit.

А учениците се изпълниха с радост и със Святия Дух.
