1 A nd it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built turrets against it round about.

И така, в деветата година на Седекиевото царуване, в десетия месец, на десетия ден от месеца, вавилонският цар Навуходоносор дойде, той и цялата му войска, против Йерусалим и като разположи стана си против него, издигнаха укрепления около него;

2 A nd the city was besieged until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

и градът беше обсаждан до единадесетата година на цар Седекия.

3 O n the ninth of the month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

А на деветия ден от четвъртия месец, когато гладът се усили в града, така че нямаше хляб за народа на мястото,

4 A nd the city was broken into; and all the men of war by night, by the way of the gate between the two walls, which to the king's garden (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about); and they went the way toward the plain.

в градската стена се отвори пролом, поради което всички военни мъже побегнаха през пътя на портата, която е между двете стени, при царската градина (а халдейците бяха близо около града), и царят отиде по пътя за полето.

5 A nd the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

А халдейската войска преследва̀ царя и го настигна в йерихонските полета; и цялата му войска се разбяга от него.

6 A nd they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon unto Riblah; and they pronounced judgment upon him,

Хванаха царя и го въведоха при вавилонския цар в Ривла; и издадоха присъда против него, именно,

7 a nd slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with chains of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

заклаха синовете на Седекия пред очите му, избодоха му очите и като го оковаха, го отведоха във Вавилон. Падането на Йерусалим и разрушаването на храма

8 A nd in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month, which was in the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzar-adan, captain of the body-guard, servant of the king of Babylon, came unto Jerusalem;

А в петия месец, на седмия ден от месеца, в дванадесетата година на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор в Йерусалим дойде началникът на телохранителите Навузардан, служител на вавилонския цар,

9 a nd he burned the house of Jehovah, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; and every great house he burned with fire.

и изгори Господния дом и царския дворец; дори всичките къщи в Йерусалим, т. е. всяка голяма къща, изгори с огън.

10 A nd all the army of the Chaldeans that were with the captain of the body-guard broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

И цялата халдейска войска, която беше с началника на телохранителите, събори стените около Йерусалим.

11 A nd Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard carried away captive the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the deserters that had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

Тогава началникът на телохранителите Навузардан отведе в плен останалите от народа, които бяха оцелели в града, и бежанците, които забегнаха при вавилонския цар, както и останалото множество.

12 B ut the captain of the body-guard left of the poor of the land for vinedressers and husbandmen.

Обаче началникът на телохранителите остави някои от по-бедните в земята за лозари и земеделци.

13 A nd the brazen pillars that were in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of Jehovah, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and carried the brass thereof to Babylon.

А медните стълбове, които бяха в Господния дом, и подножията и медното море, които бяха в Господния дом, халдейците изпочупиха и пренесоха медта им във Вавилон;

14 T he cauldrons also and the shovels and the knives and the cups, and all the vessels of copper wherewith they ministered, they took away.

отнесоха и котлите, лопатите, щипците, тамянниците и всички медни прибори, с които се извършваше службата.

15 A nd the censers and the bowls, that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, the captain of the body-guard took away.

Началникът на телохранителите отнесе и кадилниците, и тасовете - каквото беше златно - като злато, и каквото сребърно - като сребро.

16 T he two pillars, the one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of Jehovah: for the brass of all these vessels there was no weight.

Колкото до двата стълба, едното море и подножията, които Соломон беше направил за Господния дом, медта на всички тези вещи превишаваше всяко тегло;

17 T he height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the capital upon it was brass, and the height of the capital three cubits; and the network and the pomegranates, upon the capital round about, all of brass: and similarly for the second pillar with the network.

височината на единия стълб беше осемнадесет лакътя; върху него имаше меден капител, чиято височината беше три лакътя; а върху капитела наоколо имаше мрежа и нарове, всичките медни. Подобни на тези бяха размерите и на втория стълб с мрежата.

18 A nd the captain of the body-guard took Seraiah the high priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.

Началникът на телохранителите взе и първосвещеника Сарайя, и втория свещеник Софония, и тримата вратари;

19 A nd out of the city he took a chamberlain that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, who were found in the city, and the scribe of the captain of the host, who enrolled the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land that were found in the city.

а от града взе един евнух, който беше надзирател на военните мъже, и петима мъже, които имаха достъп при царя, които бяха намерени в града, и секретаря на военачалника, който събираше войски от народа на земята, и шестдесет мъже от народа на земята, които се намираха в града.

20 A nd Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah;

И като ги взе, началникът на телохранителите Навузардан ги заведе при вавилонския цар в Ривла.

21 a nd the king of Babylon smote them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his land.

Вавилонският цар ги уби в Ривла, в земята Емат. Така юдеите бяха закарани в плен от земята си.

22 A nd the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left behind, over them he appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan.

А колкото до народа, който остана в Юдейската земя, който вавилонският цар Навуходоносор беше оставил, над него той постави за управител Годолия, син на Ахикам, Сафановия син.

23 A nd all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah, and they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, namely, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

А когато всички военачалници, те и войниците им, чуха, че вавилонският цар поставил за управител Годолия, дойдоха при Годолия в Масфа, а именно: Исмаил, син на Натания, Йонан, син на Кария, Сарайя, син на нетофатеца Танумет, и Яазания, син на един маахатец, те и войниците им.

24 A nd Gedaliah swore unto them and to their men, and said to them, Fear not to be servants of the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

И Годолия се закле на тях и на мъжете им: Не бойте се от слугите на халдейците; заселете се в земята и работете на вавилонския цар, и ще ви бъде добре.

25 A nd it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal seed, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.

Но в седмия месец Исмаил, син на Натания, Елисамовия син, от царския род, дойде заедно с десетина мъже и поразиха Годолия (така че умря) и юдеите, и халдейците, които бяха с него в Масфа.

26 A nd all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces, arose and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.

Тогава целият народ, от малък до голям, и военачалниците станаха и отидоха в Египет; защото се уплашиха от халдейците.

27 A nd it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh of the month, Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

А в тридесет и седмата година от пленяването на Юдейския цар Йоахин, в дванадесетия месец, на двадесет и седмия ден от месеца, вавилонският цар Евил-меродах, в годината на възцаряването си, освободи от тъмницата Юдейския цар Йоахин;

28 a nd he spoke kindly to him, and set his seat above the seat of the kings that were with him in Babylon.

разговаря любезно с него и постави неговия престол по-горе от престола на царете, които бяха с него във Вавилон,

29 A nd he changed his prison garments; and he ate bread before him continually all the days of his life;

и замени тъмничните му дрехи; и Йоахин се хранеше винаги пред него, през всички дни на живота си.

30 a nd his allowance was a continual allowance given him by the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.

А колкото до храната му, от царя му бе давана постоянна храна, ежедневен дял, през всички дни на живота му.
