1 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

При това Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

2 S on of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

Сине човешки, насочи лицето си против хълма Сиир и пророкувай против него, като му кажеш:

3 a nd say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.

Така казва Господ Йехова: Ето, хълме Сиир, Аз съм против тебе; ще простра ръката Си против теб и ще те превърна в опустошение, и ще бъдеш за учудване.

4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be a desolation: and thou shalt know that I Jehovah.

Ще разоря градовете ти и ти ще запустееш; и ще познаеш, че Аз съм Господ.

5 B ecause thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword, in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

Понеже си хранил непрекъсната омраза и си предал израелтяните на силата на меча във времето на бедствието им, когато беззаконието им е стигнало до края си;

6 t herefore, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will certainly appoint thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou hast not hated blood, blood shall pursue thee.

затова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, ще те предам на кръв и кръв ще те преследва; понеже не си намразил кръвта, то кръв ще те преследва.

7 A nd I will make mount Seir a desolation and an astonishment, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth;

Така ще направя хълма Сиир да бъде за учудване и да запустее; и ще изтребя от него и онзи, който минава, и онзи, който се връща.

8 a nd I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

Ще напълня планините му с убитите му; по хълмовете ти, по долините ти и по всичките ти реки ще паднат убитите от меч.

9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and ye shall know that I Jehovah.

Ще те превърна във вечно опустошение и градовете ти няма да се населят; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.

10 B ecause thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it, whereas Jehovah was there:

Понеже си казал: Тези два народа и тези две страни ще бъдат мои и ние ще ги владеем, ако и да е бил Господ там,

11 t herefore, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, as thou hast done out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

затова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, ще постъпя според гнева и завистта, която си показал поради омразата си към тях; и ще им бъда познат, когато те съдя.

12 A nd thou shalt know that I Jehovah have heard all thy reproaches, which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.

И ти ще познаеш, че Аз, Господ, чух всички хули, които си произнесъл против Израелевите планини, като си казал: Те запустяха; на нас са дадени за храна.

13 A nd ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard.

С устата си говорихте високомерно против Мен и казахте много думи против Мен, Аз чух.

14 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee a desolation.

Така казва Господ Йехова: Когато се весели целият свят, Аз ще те направя пуст.

15 A s thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolated, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be a desolation, O mount Seir, and all Edom, the whole of it: and they shall know that I Jehovah.

Както си се развеселил затова, че запустя наследството на Израелевия дом, така ще направя на тебе; ще запустееш, хълме Сиир, и целият Едом - да! - целият; и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.
