1 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Vino además a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 S on of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia el monte de Seír, y profetiza contra él,

3 a nd say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.

y dile: Así dice el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo estoy contra ti, oh monte de Seír, y extenderé mi mano contra ti, y te convertiré en la mayor soledad.

4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be a desolation: and thou shalt know that I Jehovah.

A tus ciudades convertiré en ruinas, y tú serás asolado, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.

5 B ecause thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword, in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

Por cuanto tuviste un odio perpetuo, y entregaste a los hijos de Israel al poder de la espada en el tiempo de su aflicción, en el tiempo de la consumación de la maldad;

6 t herefore, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will certainly appoint thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou hast not hated blood, blood shall pursue thee.

por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que te destinaré a la sangre, y la sangre te perseguirá; de cierto aborreciste tu propia sangre; por eso, te perseguirá la sangre.

7 A nd I will make mount Seir a desolation and an astonishment, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth;

Y convertiré al monte de Seír en completa soledad, y cortaré de él al que vaya y al que venga.

8 a nd I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

Y llenaré sus montes de sus muertos; en tus collados, en tus valles y en todos tus arroyos, caerán los muertos a espada.

9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and ye shall know that I Jehovah.

Yo te pondré en asolamiento perpetuo, y tus ciudades nunca más se restaurarán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

10 B ecause thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it, whereas Jehovah was there:

Por cuanto dijiste: Las dos naciones y las dos tierras serán mías, y tomaré posesión de ellas; siendo así que Jehová estaba allí;

11 t herefore, I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, as thou hast done out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, yo haré conforme a tu ira, y conforme a tu envidia con que procediste, a causa del odio que les tenías; y seré conocido en ellos, cuando te castigue.

12 A nd thou shalt know that I Jehovah have heard all thy reproaches, which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.

Y sabrás que yo Jehová he oído todas tus injurias que proferiste contra los montes de Israel, diciendo: Están devastados; nos han sido dados para que los devoremos.

13 A nd ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard.

Y os engrandecisteis contra mí con vuestra boca, y multiplicasteis contra mí vuestras palabras. Yo lo oí.

14 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee a desolation.

Así dice el Señor Jehová: Cuando toda la tierra se regocije, yo te haré una desolación.

15 A s thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolated, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be a desolation, O mount Seir, and all Edom, the whole of it: and they shall know that I Jehovah.

Como tú te alegraste sobre la heredad de la casa de Israel, porque fue asolada, así te haré a ti; asolado serás tú, oh monte de Seír, y todo Edom, todo él; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
