1 M y God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? far from my salvation, from the words of my groaning?

Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado? ¿Por qué estás tan lejos de mi salvación, y de las palabras de mi clamor?

2 M y God, I cry by day, and thou answerest not; and by night, and there is no rest for me:

Dios mío, clamo de día, y no respondes; Y de noche, y no hay para mí reposo.

3 A nd thou art holy, thou that dwellest amid the praises of Israel.

Pero tú eres santo, Tú que habitas entre las alabanzas de Israel.

4 O ur fathers confided in thee: they confided, and thou didst deliver them.

En ti esperaron nuestros padres; Esperaron, y tú los libraste.

5 T hey cried unto thee, and were delivered; they confided in thee, and were not confounded.

Clamaron a ti, y fueron librados; Confiaron en ti, y no fueron avergonzados.

6 B ut I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and the despised of the people.

Mas yo soy gusano, y no hombre; Oprobio de los hombres, y despreciado del pueblo.

7 A ll they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head,

Todos los que me ven me escarnecen; Tuercen los labios, menean la cabeza, diciendo:

8 C ommit it to Jehovah—let him rescue him; let him deliver him, because he delighteth in him!

Se encomendó a Jehová; líbrele él; Sálvele, puesto que en él se complacía.

9 B ut thou art he that took me out of the womb; thou didst make me trust, upon my mother's breasts.

Pero tú eres el que me sacó del vientre; El que me hizo estar confiado desde que estaba a los pechos de mi madre.

10 I was cast upon thee from the womb; thou art my God from my mother's belly.

Sobre ti fui echado desde el seno; Desde el vientre de mi madre, tú eres mi Dios.

11 B e not far from me, for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

No te alejes de mí, porque la angustia está cerca; Porque no hay quien ayude.

12 M any bulls have encompassed me; Bashan's strong ones have beset me round.

Me han rodeado muchos toros; Fuertes toros de Basán me han cercado.

13 T hey gape upon me with their mouth, a ravening and a roaring lion.

Abrieron sobre mí su boca Como un león rapaz y rugiente.

14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is become like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

Estoy derramado como agua, Y todos mis huesos se descoyuntaron; Mi corazón se torna como cera, Derritiéndose en medio de mis entrañas.

15 M y strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and thou hast laid me in the dust of death.

Como un tiesto se secó mi vigor, Y mi lengua se pegó a mi paladar, Y me has puesto en el polvo de la muerte.

16 F or dogs have encompassed me; an assembly of evil-doers have surrounded me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Porque perros me han rodeado; Me ha cercado una banda de malhechores; Horadaron mis manos y mis pies.

17 I may count all my bones. They look, they stare upon me;

Contar puedo todos mis huesos; Entretanto, ellos me miran y me observan.

18 T hey part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Repartieron entre sí mis vestidos, Y sobre mi túnica echaron suertes.

19 B ut thou, Jehovah, be not far; O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Mas tú, Jehová, no te alejes; Fortaleza mía, apresúrate a socorrerme.

20 D eliver my soul from the sword; my only one from the power of the dog;

Libra de la espada mi alma, De las garras del perro mi vida.

21 S ave me from the lion's mouth. Yea, from the horns of the buffaloes hast thou answered me.

Sálvame de las fauces del león, Y líbrame de los cuernos de los búfalos.

22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Anunciaré tu nombre a mis hermanos; En medio de la congregación te alabaré.

23 Y e that fear Jehovah, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and revere him, all ye the seed of Israel.

Los que teméis a Jehová, alabadle; Glorificadle, descendencia toda de Jacob, Y temedle vosotros, descendencia toda de Israel.

24 F or he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him: but when he cried unto him, he heard.

Porque no menospreció ni desdeñó la aflicción del afligido, Ni de él escondió su rostro; Sino que cuando clamó a él, le escuchó.

25 M y praise is from thee, in the great congregation; I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

De ti procede mi alabanza en la gran congregación; Mis votos pagaré delante de los que le temen.

26 T he meek shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise Jehovah that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Comerán los humildes, y serán saciados; Alabarán a Jehová los que le buscan; Vivirá su corazón para siempre.

27 A ll the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah, and all the families of the nations shall worship before thee:

Se acordarán, y se volverán a Jehová todos los confines de la tierra, Y todas las familias de las naciones adorarán delante de ti.

28 F or the kingdom is Jehovah's, and he ruleth among the nations.

Porque de Jehová es el reino, Y él regirá las naciones.

29 A ll the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship; all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, and he that cannot keep alive his own soul.

Comerán y adorarán todos los poderosos de la tierra; Se postrarán delante de él todos los que descienden al polvo, Puesto que nadie puede conservar la vida a su propia alma.

30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

La posteridad le servirá; Esto será contado de Jehová hasta la postrera generación.

31 T hey shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done.

Vendrán, y anunciarán su justicia; A generaciones que no han nacido aún, anunciarán que él hizo esto.
