1 A nd David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Dijo David: ¿Ha quedado alguno de la casa de Saúl, a quien haga yo misericordia por amor de Jonatán?

2 A nd there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him to David. And the king said to him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant!

Y había un siervo de la casa de Saúl, que se llamaba Sibá, al cual llamaron para que viniese a David. Y el rey le dijo: ¿Eres tú Sibá? Y él respondió: Tu siervo soy.

3 A nd the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God to him? And Ziba said to the king, Jonathan has yet a son, who is lame on feet.

El rey le dijo: ¿No ha quedado nadie de la casa de Saúl, a quien haga yo misericordia de Dios? Y Sibá respondió al rey: Aún ha quedado un hijo de Jonatán, lisiado de los pies.

4 A nd the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

Entonces el rey le preguntó: ¿Dónde está? Y Sibá respondió al rey: He aquí, está en casa de Maquir hijo de Amiel, en Lodebar.

5 A nd king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

Entonces envió el rey David, y lo mandó traer de la casa de Maquir hijo de Amiel, de Lodebar.

6 A nd Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, and fell on his face and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he said, Behold thy servant!

Y vino Mefi-bóset, hijo de Jonatán hijo de Saúl, a David, y se postró sobre su rostro e hizo reverencia. Y dijo David: Mefi-bóset. Y él respondió: He aquí tu siervo.

7 A nd David said to him, Fear not; for I will certainly shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

Y le dijo David: No tengas temor, porque yo a la verdad haré contigo misericordia por amor de Jonatán tu padre, y te devolveré todas las tierras de Saúl tu padre; y tú comerás siempre a mi mesa.

8 A nd he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

Y él, inclinándose, dijo: ¿Quién es tu siervo, para que mires a un perro muerto como yo?

9 T hen the king called Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, I have given to thy master's son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.

Entonces el rey llamó a Sibá siervo de Saúl, y le dijo: Todo lo que fue de Saúl y de toda su casa, se lo doy al hijo de tu señor.

10 A nd thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in, that thy master's son may have food to eat. And Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread at my table continually. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

Tú, pues, le labrarás las tierras, tú con tus hijos y tus siervos, y almacenarás los frutos, para que los hijos de tu señor tengan pan para comer; pero Mefi-bóset el hijo de tu señor comerá siempre a mi mesa. Y tenía Sibá quince hijos y veinte siervos.

11 A nd Ziba said to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

Y respondió Sibá al rey: Conforme a todo lo que ha mandado mi señor el rey a su siervo, así lo hará tu siervo. Y Mefi-bóset comía a la mesa (de David), como uno de los hijos del rey.

12 A nd Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

Y tenía Mefi-bóset un hijo pequeño, que se llamaba Micá. Y toda la familia de la casa de Sibá eran siervos de Mefi-bóset.

13 S o Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the king's table. And he was lame on both his feet.

Pero Mefi-bóset vivía en Jerusalén, porque comía siempre a la mesa del rey; y estaba lisiado de ambos pies.
