1 S o that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in Lord, beloved.

Así que, hermanos míos amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, estad así firmes en el Señor, amados.

2 I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in Lord;

Ruego a Evodia y ruego a Síntique, que sean de un mismo sentir en el Señor.

3 y ea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names in book of life.

Asimismo te ruego también a ti, compañero fiel, que ayudes a éstas que combatieron juntamente conmigo en el evangelio, con Clemente también y los demás colaboradores míos, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.

4 R ejoice in Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

Regocijaos en el Señor siempre. Otra vez digo: ¡Regocijaos!

5 L et your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord near.

Vuestra mesura sea conocida de todos los hombres. El Señor está cerca.

6 B e careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Por nada os inquietéis, sino que sean presentadas vuestras peticiones delante de Dios mediante oración y ruego con acción de gracias.

7 a nd the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus.

Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa a todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros pensamientos en Cristo Jesús. El secreto de la paz mental

8 F or the rest, brethren, whatsoever things true, whatsoever things noble, whatsoever things just, whatsoever things pure, whatsoever things amiable, whatsoever things of good report; if any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.

Por lo demás, hermanos, todo lo que es verdadero, todo lo respetable, todo lo justo, todo lo puro, todo lo amable, todo lo que es de buena reputación; si hay virtud alguna, si algo digno de alabanza, en esto pensad.

9 W hat ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

Lo que aprendisteis y recibisteis y oísteis y visteis en mí, ponedlo por obra; y el Dios de la paz estará con vosotros. Actitud de Pablo hacia las cosas materiales

10 B ut I rejoiced in Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think, but lacked opportunity.

En gran manera me gocé en el Señor de que ya al fin habéis reavivado vuestro cuidado de mí; de lo cual también estabais solícitos, pero os faltaba la oportunidad.

11 N ot that I speak as regards privation, for as to me I have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself.

No lo digo porque tenga escasez, pues he aprendido a contentarme, cualquiera que sea mi situación.

12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation.

Sé vivir en escasez, y sé vivir en abundancia; en todo y por todo he aprendido el secreto, lo mismo de estar saciado que de tener hambre, lo mismo de tener abundancia que de padecer necesidad.

13 I have strength for all things in him that gives me power.

Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece.

14 B ut ye have done well in taking part in my affliction.

Sin embargo, bien hicisteis en participar conmigo en mi tribulación.

15 A nd know also ye, O Philippians, that in beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated to me in way of giving and receiving save ye alone;

Y sabéis también vosotros, oh filipenses, que al principio de la predicación del evangelio, cuando partí de Macedonia, ninguna iglesia participó conmigo en razón de dar y recibir, sino vosotros solos;

16 f or also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need.

pues aun a Tesalónica me enviasteis una y otra vez para mis necesidades.

17 N ot that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account.

No es que busque dádivas, sino que busco fruto que abunde en vuestra cuenta.

18 B ut I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God.

Pero todo lo he recibido, y tengo abundancia; estoy lleno, habiendo recibido de Epafrodito lo que enviasteis; olor fragante, sacrificio acepto, agradable a Dios.

19 B ut my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Y mi Dios proveerá a todas vuestras necesidades conforme a sus riquezas en gloria en Cristo Jesús.

20 B ut to our God and Father glory to the ages of ages. Amen.

A nuestro Dios y Padre sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. Saludos finales

21 S alute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who with me salute you.

Saludad a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús. Los hermanos que están conmigo os saludan.

22 A ll the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar.

Todos los santos os saludan, y especialmente los de la casa de César.

23 T he grace of the Lord Jesus Christ with your spirit. Amen.
