1 A nd the word of Jehovah came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

2 F orasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins;

Por cuanto yo te levanté del polvo y te puse por príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, y has andado en el camino de Jeroboam, y has hecho pecar a mi pueblo Israel, provocándome a ira con tus pecados;

3 b ehold, I will take away Baasha and his house, and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

he aquí yo barreré la posteridad de Basá; y pondré su casa como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nebat.

4 H im that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat, and him that dieth of his in the field shall the fowl of the heavens eat.

El que de Basá muera en la ciudad, lo comerán los perros; y el que de él muera en el campo, lo comerán las aves del cielo.

5 A nd the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Los demás hechos de Basá, y las cosas que hizo, y su poderío, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

6 A nd Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.

Y durmió Basá con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Tirsá, y reinó en su lugar Elá su hijo.

7 A nd also through the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani the word of Jehovah came against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of Jehovah, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he had smitten him.

Pues la palabra de Jehová por el profeta Jehú hijo de Hanani había sido contra Basá y también contra su casa, con motivo de todo lo malo que hizo ante los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, para que fuese hecha como la casa de Jeroboam; y también por haber exterminado a ésta. Reinados de Elá y de Zimrí

8 I n the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.

En el año veintiséis de Asá rey de Judá comenzó a reinar Elá hijo de Basá sobre Israel en Tirsá; y reinó dos años.

9 A nd his servant Zimri, captain of half chariots, conspired against him; and he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was the steward of his house in Tirzah;

Y conspiró contra él su siervo Zimrí, comandante de la mitad de los carros. Estando él en Tirsá, bebiendo y embriagado en casa de Arsá su mayordomo,

10 a nd Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned in his stead.

vino Zimrí y lo hirió y lo mató, en el año veintisiete de Asá rey de Judá; y reinó en lugar suyo.

11 A nd it came to pass when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not a male, neither of his kinsmen nor of his friends.

Y luego que llegó a reinar y estuvo sentado en su trono, mató a toda la casa de Basá, sin dejar en ella varón, ni parientes ni amigos.

12 A nd Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke against Baasha through Jehu the prophet,

13 f or all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and wherewith they made Israel to sin, provoking Jehovah the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

por todos los pecados de Basá y los pecados de Elá su hijo, con los cuales ellos pecaron e hicieron pecar a Israel, provocando a enojo con sus vanidades a Jehová Dios de Israel.

14 A nd the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

15 I n the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which to the Philistines.

En el año veintisiete de Asá rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zimrí, y reinó siete días en Tirsá; y el pueblo había acampado contra Gibetón, ciudad de los filisteos.

16 A nd the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also smitten the king; and all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

Y el pueblo que estaba en el campamento oyó decir: Zimrí ha conspirado, y ha dado muerte al rey. Entonces todo Israel puso aquel mismo día por rey sobre Israel a Omrí, general del ejército, en el campo de batalla.

17 A nd Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

Y subió Omrí de Gibetón, y con él todo Israel, y sitiaron a Tirsá.

18 A nd it came to pass when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the citadel of the king's house, and burned the king's house over him with fire;

Mas viendo Zimrí tomada la ciudad, se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y prendió fuego a la casa consigo; y así murió,

19 a nd he died for his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of Jehovah, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, making Israel to sin.

por los pecados que había cometido, haciendo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar a Israel.

20 A nd the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his conspiracy which he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

El resto de los hechos de Zimrí, y la conspiración que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? Reinado de Omrí

21 T hen were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.

22 B ut the people that followed Omri overcame the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath; and Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

23 I n the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel,—twelve years; he reigned six years in Tirzah.

En el año treinta y uno de Asá rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omrí sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsá reinó seis años.

24 A nd he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and built on the hill, and called the name of the city that he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.

Y Omrí compró a Sémer el monte de Samaria por dos talentos de plata, y edificó en el monte; y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, Samaria, del nombre de Sémer, que fue dueño de aquel monte.

25 A nd Omri wrought evil in the sight of Jehovah, and did worse than all that were before him.

Y Omrí hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, e hizo peor que todos los que habían reinado antes de él;

26 A nd he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin, provoking Jehovah the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

pues anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam hijo de Nebat, y en el pecado con el cual hizo pecar a Israel, provocando a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus ídolos.

27 A nd the rest of the acts of Omri, what he did, and his might which he shewed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Los demás hechos de Omrí, y todo lo que hizo, y las valentías que ejecutó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

28 A nd Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.

Y Omrí durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria, y reinó en lugar suyo Acab su hijo. Reinado de Acab

29 A nd Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel in the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

Comenzó a reinar Acab hijo de Omrí sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asá rey de Judá.

30 A nd Ahab the son of Omri wrought evil in the sight of Jehovah more than all that were before him.

Y reinó Acab hijo de Omrí sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años. Y Acab hijo de Omrí hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, más que todos los que reinaron antes de él.

31 A nd it came to pass, as if it was a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshipped him.

Porque le fue ligera cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nebat, y tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Et-baal rey de los sidonios, y fue y sirvió a Baal, y lo adoró.

32 A nd he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria.

E hizo altar a Baal, en el templo de Baal que él edificó en Samaria.

33 A nd Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did more to provoke Jehovah the God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

34 I n his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundation in Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates in Segub his youngest, according to the word of Jehovah which he spoke through Joshua the son of Nun.
