1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

Jehová habló a Moisés en el monte de Sinay, diciendo:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When ye come into the land that I will give you, the land shall celebrate a sabbath to Jehovah.

Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Cuando hayáis entrado en la tierra que yo os doy, la tierra guardará sábado para Jehová.

3 S ix years shalt thou sow thy field, and six years shalt thou prune thy vineyard, and gather in the produce thereof,

Seis años sembrarás tu tierra, y seis años podarás tu viña y recogerás sus frutos.

4 b ut in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest for the land, a sabbath to Jehovah. Thy field shalt thou not sow, and thy vineyard shalt thou not prune.

Pero el séptimo año la tierra tendrá descanso, sábado para Jehová; no sembrarás tu tierra, ni podarás tu viña.

5 T hat which springeth up from the scattered seed of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thine undressed vines thou shalt not gather: a year of rest shall it be for the land.

Lo que de suyo nazca en tu tierra segada, no lo segarás, y las uvas de tu viñedo no vendimiarás; año de sábado será para la tierra.

6 A nd the sabbath of the land shall be for food for you, for thee, and for thy bondman, and for thy handmaid, and for thy hired servant, and for him that dwelleth as a sojourner with thee, and for thy cattle,

Mas el sábado de la tierra te dará para comer a ti, a tu siervo, a tu sierva, a tu criado y a tu extranjero que more contigo;

7 a nd for the beasts that are in thy land: all the produce thereof shall be for food.

y a tu animal, y a la bestia que haya en tu tierra, será todo el fruto de ella para comer.

8 A nd thou shalt count seven sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; so that the days of the seven sabbaths of years be unto thee forty-nine years.

Y contarás siete semanas de años, siete veces siete años, de modo que los días de las siete semanas de años vendrán a serte cuarenta y nueve años.

9 T hen shalt thou cause the loud sound of the trumpet to go forth in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month; on the day of atonement shall ye cause the trumpet to go forth throughout your land.

Entonces harás tocar fuertemente la trompeta en el mes séptimo a los diez días del mes; el día de la expiación haréis tocar la trompeta por toda vuestra tierra.

10 A nd ye shall hallow the year of the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty in the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; a jubilee shall it be unto you, and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family;

Y santificaréis el año cincuenta, y pregonaréis libertad en la tierra a todos sus moradores; ese año os será de jubileo, y volveréis cada uno a vuestra posesión, y cada cual volverá a su familia.

11 a year of jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap its aftergrowth, nor gather its undressed vines.

El año cincuenta os será jubileo; no sembraréis, ni segaréis lo que nazca de suyo en la tierra, ni vendimiaréis sus viñedos,

12 F or it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you; out of the field shall ye eat its produce.

porque es jubileo; santo será a vosotros; el producto de la tierra comeréis.

13 I n this year of the jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

En este año de jubileo volveréis cada uno a vuestra posesión.

14 A nd if ye sell ought unto your neighbour, or buy of your neighbour's hand, ye shall not overreach one another.

Y cuando vendáis algo a vuestro prójimo, o compréis de mano de vuestro prójimo, no engañe ninguno a su hermano.

15 A ccording to the number of years since the jubilee, thou shalt buy of thy neighbour; according to the number of years of the produce, he shall sell unto thee.

Conforme al número de los años después del jubileo comprarás de tu prójimo; conforme al número de los años de los frutos te venderá él a ti.

16 A ccording to the greater number of the years, thou shalt increase the price thereof; and according to the fewness of years, thou shalt diminish the price of it; for it is the number of crops that he selleth unto thee.

Cuanto mayor sea el número de los años, aumentarás el precio, y cuanto menor sea el número, disminuirás el precio; porque según el número de las cosechas te venderá él.

17 A nd ye shall not oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I am Jehovah your God.

Y no engañe ninguno a su prójimo, sino temed a vuestro Dios; porque yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.

18 A nd ye shall do my statutes, and observe mine ordinances and do them: thus shall ye dwell in your land securely.

Ejecutad, pues, mis estatutos y guardad mis ordenanzas, y ponedlos por obra, y habitaréis en la tierra seguros;

19 A nd the land shall yield its fruit, and ye shall eat and be satisfied, and dwell therein securely.

y la tierra dará su fruto, y comeréis hasta saciaros, y habitaréis en ella con seguridad.

20 A nd if ye say, What shall we eat in the seventh year? behold, we may not sow, nor gather in our produce;

Y si decís: ¿Qué comeremos el séptimo año? He aquí no hemos de sembrar, ni hemos de recoger nuestros frutos;

21 t hen I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, that it may bring forth produce for three years;

entonces yo os enviaré mi bendición el sexto año, y hará fruto por tres años.

22 a nd ye shall sow in the eighth year, and ye shall eat of the old fruit until the ninth year; until her produce come in, ye shall eat the old.

Y sembraréis el año octavo, y comeréis del fruto añejo; hasta el año noveno, hasta que venga su fruto, comeréis del añejo.

23 A nd the land shall not be sold for ever; for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

La tierra no se venderá a perpetuidad, porque la tierra mía es; pues vosotros forasteros y extranjeros sois para conmigo.

24 A nd in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

Por tanto, en toda la tierra de vuestra posesión otorgaréis rescate a la tierra.

25 I f thy brother grow poor, and sell of his possession, then shall his redeemer, his nearest relation, come and redeem that which his brother sold.

Cuando tu hermano empobrezca, y venda algo de su posesión, entonces su pariente más próximo vendrá y rescatará lo que su hermano haya vendido.

26 A nd if the man have no one having right of redemption, and his hand have acquired and found what sufficeth for its redemption,

Y cuando el hombre no tenga rescatador, pero consiga lo suficiente para el rescate,

27 t hen shall he reckon the years since the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; and so return unto his possession.

entonces contará los años desde que vendió, y pagará lo que quede al varón a quien vendió, y volverá a su posesión.

28 A nd if his hand have not found what sufficeth for him to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of the purchaser, until the year of jubilee; and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

Mas si no consigue lo suficiente para que se la devuelvan, lo que vendió estará en poder del que lo compró hasta el año del jubileo; y al jubileo saldrá, y él volverá a su posesión.

29 A nd if any one sell a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he shall have the right of redemption up to the end of the year of the sale thereof; for a full year shall he have the right of redemption.

El varón que venda casa de habitación en ciudad amurallada, tendrá facultad de redimirla hasta el término de un año desde la venta; un año será el término de poderse redimir.

30 B ut if it be not redeemed until a whole year is complete, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it, throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.

Y si no es rescatada dentro de un año entero, la casa que esté en la ciudad amurallada quedará para siempre en poder de aquel que la compró, y para sus descendientes; no saldrá en el jubileo.

31 B ut the houses in villages that have no wall round about them shall be reckoned as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

Mas las casas de las aldeas que no tienen muro alrededor serán estimadas como los terrenos del campo; podrán ser rescatadas, y saldrán en el jubileo.

32 B ut as to the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites shall have a perpetual right of redemption.

Pero en cuanto a las ciudades de los levitas, éstos podrán rescatar en cualquier tiempo las casas en las ciudades de su posesión.

33 A nd if any one redeem from one of the Levites, then the house that was sold, in the city of his possession, shall go out in the jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

Y el que compre de los levitas saldrá de la casa vendida, o de la ciudad de su posesión, en el jubileo, por cuanto las casas de las ciudades de los levitas son la posesión de ellos entre los hijos de Israel.

34 A nd the field of the suburbs of their cities shall not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

Mas las tierras aledañas de sus ciudades no se venderán, porque son perpetua posesión de ellos.

35 A nd if thy brother grow poor, and he be fallen into decay beside thee, then thou shalt relieve him, stranger or sojourner, that he may live beside thee.

Y cuando tu hermano empobrezca y se acoja a ti, tú lo ampararás; como forastero y extranjero vivirá contigo.

36 T hou shalt take no usury nor increase of him; and thou shalt fear thy God; that thy brother may live beside thee.

No tomarás de él usura ni ganancia, sino tendrás temor de tu Dios, y tu hermano vivirá contigo.

37 T hy money shalt thou not give him upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.

No le darás tu dinero a usura, ni tus víveres a ganancia.

38 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be your God.

Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para daros la tierra de Canaán, para ser vuestro Dios.

39 A nd if thy brother grow poor beside thee, and be sold unto thee, thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

Y cuando tu hermano empobrezca, estando contigo, y se venda a ti, no le harás servir como esclavo.

40 a s a hired servant, as a sojourner, shall he be with thee; until the year of jubilee shall he serve thee.

Como criado, como extranjero estará contigo; hasta el año del jubileo te servirá.

41 T hen shall he depart from thee, he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

Entonces saldrá libre de tu casa; él y sus hijos consigo, y volverá a su familia, y a la posesión de sus padres se restituirá.

42 F or they are my bondmen, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as sell bondmen.

Porque son mis siervos, los cuales saqué yo de la tierra de Egipto; no serán vendidos a manera de esclavos.

43 T hou shalt not rule over him with rigour; and thou shalt fear thy God.

No te enseñorearás de él con dureza, sino tendrás temor de tu Dios.

44 A nd as for thy bondman and thy handmaid whom thou shalt have—of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and handmaids.

Así tu esclavo como tu esclava que tengas, serán de las gentes que están en vuestro alrededor; de ellos podréis comprar esclavos y esclavas.

45 M oreover of the children of them that dwell as sojourners with you, of them may ye buy, and of their family that is with you, which they beget in your land, and they shall be your possession.

También podréis comprar de los hijos de los forasteros que viven entre vosotros, y de las familias de ellos nacidos en vuestra tierra, que están con vosotros, los cuales podréis tener por posesión.

46 A nd ye shall leave them as an inheritance to your children after you, to inherit them as a possession: these may ye make your bondmen for ever; but as for your brethren, the children of Israel, ye shall not rule over one another with rigour.

Y los podréis dejar en herencia para vuestros hijos después de vosotros, como posesión hereditaria; para siempre os serviréis de ellos; pero en vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel no os enseñorearéis cada uno sobre su hermano con dureza.

47 A nd if a stranger or sojourner become wealthy beside thee, and thy brother beside him grow poor, and sell himself unto the stranger, who is settled by thee, or to a scion of the stranger's family,

Si el forastero o el extranjero que está contigo se enriquece, y tu hermano que está junto a él empobrece, y se vende al forastero o extranjero que está contigo, o a alguno de la familia del extranjero;

48 a fter that he is sold there shall be right of redemption for him; one of his brethren may redeem him.

después que se haya vendido, podrá ser rescatado; uno de sus hermanos lo rescatará.

49 E ither his uncle or his uncle's son may redeem him, or one of his next relations of his family may redeem him; or if his means be sufficient, he may redeem himself.

O su tío o el hijo de su tío lo rescatará, o un pariente cercano de su familia lo rescatará; o si sus medios alcanzan, él mismo se rescatará.

50 A nd he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of the years, according to the days of a hired servant shall he be with him.

Hará la cuenta con el que lo compró, desde el año que se vendió a él hasta el año del jubileo; y ha de apreciarse el precio de su venta conforme al número de los años, y se contará el tiempo que estuvo con él conforme al tiempo de un criado asalariado.

51 I f there are yet many years, according unto them shall he return his redemption out of the money that he was bought for;

Si aún faltan muchos años, conforme a ellos devolverá para su rescate, del dinero por el cual se vendió.

52 a nd if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according unto his years shall he give him back his redemption.

Y si queda poco tiempo hasta el año del jubileo, entonces hará un cálculo con él, y devolverá su rescate conforme a sus años.

53 A s a hired servant shall he be with him year by year; shall not rule with rigour over him before thine eyes.

Como con el tomado a salario anualmente hará con él; no se enseñoreará en él con rigor delante de tus ojos.

54 A nd if he be not redeemed in this manner, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he and his children with him.

Y si no se rescata en esos años, en el año del jubileo saldrá, él y sus hijos con él.

55 F or the children of Israel are servants unto me; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

Porque mis siervos son los hijos de Israel; son siervos míos, a los cuales saqué de la tierra de Egipto. Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
