1 P raise ye Jah! for it is good. Sing psalms of our God; for it is pleasant: praise is comely.

Alabad a JAH, Porque es bueno cantar salmos a nuestro Dios; Porque él es benigno, y conviene tributarle una alabanza armoniosa.

2 J ehovah doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth the outcasts of Israel.

Jehová reedifica a Jerusalén; A los desterrados de Israel recoge.

3 H e healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Él sana a los quebrantados de corazón, Y venda sus heridas.

4 H e counteth the number of the stars; he giveth names to them all.

Él cuenta el número de las estrellas; Las llama a todas por sus nombres.

5 G reat is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Grande es el Señor nuestro, y de mucho poder; Y su entendimiento es infinito.

6 J ehovah lifteth up the meek; he abaseth the wicked to the earth.

Jehová levanta a los humildes, Y humilla a los impíos hasta la tierra.

7 S ing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; sing psalms upon the harp unto our God:

Cantad a Jehová con alabanza, Salmodiad con el arpa a nuestro Dios.

8 W ho covereth the heavens with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains;

Él es quien cubre de nubes los cielos, El que prepara la lluvia para la tierra, El que hace a los montes producir hierba.

9 W ho giveth to the cattle their food, to the young ravens which cry.

Él da a la bestia su mantenimiento, Y a los hijos de los cuervos cuando graznan.

10 H e delighteth not in the strength of the horse, he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man;

No se deleita en la fuerza del caballo, Ni se complace en la agilidad del hombre.

11 J ehovah taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his loving-kindness.

Se complace Jehová en los que le temen, Y en los que esperan en su misericordia.

12 L aud Jehovah, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

Alaba a Jehová, Jerusalén; Alaba a tu Dios, oh Sión.

13 F or he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee;

Porque reforzó los cerrojos de tus puertas; Bendijo a tus hijos dentro de tu recinto.

14 H e maketh peace in thy borders; he satisfieth thee with the finest of the wheat.

Él da en tu territorio la paz; Te hace saciar con lo mejor del trigo.

15 H e sendeth forth his oracles to the earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

Él envía su palabra a la tierra; Velozmente corre su palabra.

16 H e giveth snow like wool, scattereth the hoar frost like ashes;

Da la nieve como lana, Y derrama la escarcha como ceniza.

17 H e casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

Echa su hielo como migas de pan; Ante su frío, ¿quién resistirá?

18 H e sendeth his word, and melteth them; he causeth his wind to blow—the waters flow.

Envía su palabra, y los derrite; Sopla su viento, y fluyen las aguas.

19 H e sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

Ha manifestado sus palabras a Jacob, Sus estatutos y sus juicios a Israel.

20 H e hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!

No ha hecho cosa igual con ninguna otra de las naciones; Ni les ha dado a conocer sus juicios. Aleluya.
