1 G ive ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.

Alabad a Jehová, invocad su nombre; Dad a conocer sus obras en los pueblos.

2 S ing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.

Cantadle, cantadle salmos; Pregonad todas sus maravillas.

3 G lory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

Gloriaos en su santo nombre; Alégrese el corazón de los que buscan a Jehová.

4 S eek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

Buscad a Jehová y su poder; Buscad siempre su rostro.

5 R emember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:

Acordaos de las maravillas que él ha hecho, De sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,

6 Y e seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

Oh vosotros, descendencia de Abraham su siervo, Hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.

7 H e, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

Él es Jehová nuestro Dios; En toda la tierra están sus juicios.

8 H e is ever mindful of his covenant,—the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,—

Se acordó para siempre de su pacto; De la palabra dada por mil generaciones,

9 W hich he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

La cual concertó con Abraham, Y de su juramento a Isaac.

10 A nd he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,

La estableció a Jacob por decreto, A Israel por pacto sempiterno,

11 S aying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

Diciendo: A ti te daré la tierra de Canaán Como porción de vuestra heredad.

12 W hen they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.

Cuando ellos eran pocos en número, Y forasteros en ella,

13 A nd they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

Y andaban de nación en nación, De un reino a otro pueblo,

14 H e suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,

No consintió que nadie los oprimiera, Y por causa de ellos castigó a los reyes.

15 T ouch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.

No toquéis, dijo, a mis ungidos, Ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.

16 A nd he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.

Trajo hambre sobre la tierra, Y quebrantó todo sustento de pan,

17 H e sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.

Envió a un varón delante de ellos; A José, que fue vendido como esclavo.

18 T hey afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;

Afligieron sus pies con grillos; En cárcel fue puesta su persona.

19 U ntil the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.

Hasta la hora en que se cumplió su predicción, Y le acreditó la palabra de Jehová.

20 T he king sent and loosed him—the ruler of peoples—and let him go free.

Envió el rey, y le soltó; El señor de los pueblos le dejó ir libre.

21 H e made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:

Lo puso por señor de su casa, Y por gobernador de todas sus posesiones,

22 T o bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

Para que reprimiera a sus grandes como él quisiese, Y a sus ancianos enseñara sabiduría.

23 A nd Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

Después entró Israel en Egipto, Y Jacob moró en la tierra de Cam.

24 A nd he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.

Y multiplicó su pueblo en gran manera, Y lo hizo más fuerte que sus enemigos.

25 H e turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

Cambió el corazón de ellos para que aborreciesen a su pueblo, Para que contra sus siervos tramasen el mal.

26 H e sent Moses his servant, Aaron whom he had chosen:

Envió a su siervo Moisés, Y a Aarón, al cual escogió.

27 T hey set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.

Por medio de ellos realizó sus señales, Y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.

28 H e sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

Envió tinieblas que lo oscurecieron todo; Pero fueron rebeldes a sus palabras.

29 H e turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.

Volvió sus aguas en sangre, Y mató sus peces.

30 T heir land swarmed with frogs,—in the chambers of their kings.

Su tierra produjo ranas Hasta en las alcobas de sus reyes.

31 H e spoke, and there came dog-flies, gnats in all their borders.

Habló, y vinieron enjambres de moscas, Y mosquitos en todos sus términos.

32 H e gave them hail for rain, flaming fire in their land;

Les dio granizo por lluvia, Y llamas de fuego en su tierra.

33 A nd he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.

Destrozó sus viñas y sus higueras, Y quebró los árboles de su territorio.

34 H e spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;

Habló, y vinieron langostas, Y pulgón sinnúmero;

35 A nd they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.

Y comieron toda la hierba de su país, Y devoraron el fruto de su tierra.

36 A nd he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.

Hirió de muerte a todos los primogénitos en su tierra, Todas las primicias de su fuerza.

37 A nd he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.

A los suyos los sacó con plata y oro; Y no hubo en sus tribus ninguno que flaqueara.

38 E gypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

Egipto se alegró de que salieran, Porque su terror había caído sobre ellos.

39 H e spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

Extendió una nube por cubierta, Y fuego para alumbrar la noche.

40 T hey asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

Pidieron, e hizo venir codornices; Y los sació de pan del cielo.

41 H e opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places a river.

Abrió la peña, y fluyeron aguas, Corrieron por los sequedales como un río.

42 F or he remembered his holy word, Abraham his servant;

Porque se acordó de su santa palabra Dada a Abraham su siervo.

43 A nd he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;

Sacó a su pueblo con gozo; Con júbilo a sus escogidos.

44 A nd he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:

Les dio las tierras de los gentiles, Y heredaron las labores de los pueblos;

45 T hat they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!

Para que guardasen sus estatutos, Y cumpliesen sus leyes. Aleluya.
