1 G ive ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.

2 S ing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.

Воспойте Ему, пойте песни Ему, рассказывайте о всех Его чудесах.

3 G lory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

Хвалитесь Его святым Именем; пусть веселятся сердца ищущих Господа.

4 S eek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

Ищите Господа и силу Его: ищите лица Его всегда.

5 R emember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:

Помните чудеса, которые Он сотворил, Его знамения и суды Его уст.

6 Y e seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

О потомки Авраама, Его слуги, о сыновья Иакова, избранные Его.

7 H e, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

Он – Господь, наш Бог, суды Его по всей земле.

8 H e is ever mindful of his covenant,—the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,—

Он помнит Свой завет вечно, слово, данное Им для тысяч поколений, –

9 W hich he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

завет, что Он заключил с Авраамом, и клятву Свою Исааку.

10 A nd he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Утвердил Он это Иакову в Закон и Израилю вечным заветом,

11 S aying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

сказав: «Я отдам тебе ханаанскую землю в удел твоего наследия».

12 W hen they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.

Когда они были малочисленны и незначительны и были чужеземцами на этой земле,

13 A nd they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

то скитались от народа к народу и из царства в царство.

14 H e suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,

Он никому не давал их притеснять и укорял за них царей:

15 T ouch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.

«Не трогайте помазанников Моих и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».

16 A nd he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.

Он послал голод на землю, сломил хлебный стебель.

17 H e sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.

Он послал перед ними человека, в рабство был продан Иосиф.

18 T hey afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;

Стеснили оковами его ноги, надели на шею железное ярмо,

19 U ntil the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.

пока не исполнилось слово Господне, пока слово Господне не доказало его правоту.

20 T he king sent and loosed him—the ruler of peoples—and let him go free.

Царь приказал, и развязали его, владыка народов освободил его.

21 H e made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:

Он сделал его господином над своим домом и правителем над всем своим владением,

22 T o bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

чтобы он наставлял его приближенных, как хотел, и старейшин его учил мудрости.

23 A nd Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

Тогда пришел Израиль в Египет, поселился Иаков в земле Хама.

24 A nd he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.

И умножил Бог Свой народ и сделал его сильнее его врагов.

25 H e turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

Возбудил в сердцах врагов ненависть к Своему народу и хитрость против Его рабов.

26 H e sent Moses his servant, Aaron whom he had chosen:

Он послал Моисея, Своего слугу, и Аарона, которого избрал.

27 T hey set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.

Они показали среди них Его чудеса и Его знамения – в земле Хама.

28 H e sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

Он послал тьму, и стало темно, и они не воспротивились Его слову.

29 H e turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.

Обратил воды их в кровь и погубил в них рыбу.

30 T heir land swarmed with frogs,—in the chambers of their kings.

Земля их закишела множеством лягушек, которые были даже в покоях царей.

31 H e spoke, and there came dog-flies, gnats in all their borders.

Он произнес слово, налетели тучи мух, комары заполнили все их земли

32 H e gave them hail for rain, flaming fire in their land;

Он послал на них град вместо дождя и пылающий огонь – на их землю.

33 A nd he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.

Побил виноград и инжир, поломал деревья в их земле.

34 H e spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;

Сказал, и пришла саранча, целые тучи без числа,

35 A nd they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.

и съели всю траву в их земле и плоды на их полях.

36 A nd he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.

Затем Он поразил всех первенцев в их земле – первые плоды их мужской силы.

37 A nd he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.

Он вывел Израиль с серебром и золотом, и не было ни одного среди родов, кто бы споткнулся.

38 E gypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

Египет обрадовался их уходу, потому что страх перед ними напал на него.

39 H e spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

Бог простер облако, чтобы укрыть их, и огонь, чтобы светить ночью.

40 T hey asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

Народ попросил, и Он послал перепелов, и насытил людей хлебом с небес.

41 H e opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places a river.

Рассек скалу, и полились воды, рекой потекли в пустыне.

42 F or he remembered his holy word, Abraham his servant;

Ведь Он вспомнил Свое святое слово к Аврааму, Своему слуге.

43 A nd he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;

Он вывел Свой народ в радости, избранных Своих в веселии.

44 A nd he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:

Дал им земли народов, и они унаследовали то, над чем трудились другие,

45 T hat they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!

чтобы соблюдали Его установления и хранили Его законы. Аллилуйя!
