1 T hou shalt not accept a false report; extend not thy hand to the wicked, to be an unrighteous witness.

– Не разносите лживых слухов. Не помогайте виновному лжесвидетельством.

2 T hou shalt not follow the multitude for evil; neither shalt thou answer in a cause, to go after the multitude to pervert.

Не следуйте за большинством, творя зло или извращая на суде правду,

3 N either shalt thou favour a poor man in his cause.

и не потворствуйте бедному в его тяжбе.

4 — If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt certainly bring it back to him.

Если увидите, что вол или осел у врага заблудились, непременно верните их ему.

5 I f thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under its burden, beware of leaving to him: thou shalt certainly loosen with him.

Если увидите, что осел того, кто ненавидит вас, упал под ношей, не оставляйте его так, непременно помогите ему.

6 T hou shalt not pervert the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

Не лишайте бедняков правосудия.

7 T hou shalt keep far from the cause of falsehood; and the innocent and righteous slay not; for I will not justify the wicked.

Не обвиняйте ложно, не казните невиновного и честного: Я не прощу такого злодеяния.

8 A nd thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blindeth those whose eyes are open, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Не берите взяток: они ослепляют зрячих и губят невиновных.

9 A nd the stranger thou shalt not oppress; for ye know the spirit of the stranger, for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt.

Не угнетайте поселенцев. Вы сами знаете, каково поселенцам, потому что были ими в Египте. Субботний год и субботний день

10 A nd six years thou shalt sow thy land, and gather in its produce;

– Шесть лет засевайте поля и собирайте урожай,

11 b ut in the seventh thou shalt let it rest and lie, that the poor of thy people may eat; and what they leave, the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thine olive-tree.

а на седьмой год пусть земля отдыхает под паром. Тогда бедняки из народа смогут кормиться от нее, а звери – доедать после них остатки. Так же поступайте с виноградниками и масличными рощами.

12 — Six days thou shalt do thy work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger may be refreshed.

Шесть дней трудитесь, но в седьмой день не работайте, чтобы ваши вол и осел отдохнули, а раб, рожденный у вас в доме, и поселенец набрались сил.

13 A nd ye shall be on your guard as to everything that I have said unto you; and shall make no mention of the name of other gods—it shall not be heard in thy mouth.

Будьте внимательны ко всему, что Я вам сказал. Не призывайте имен других богов. Пусть ваши уста даже не произносят их имен. Три ежегодных праздника

14 T hrice in the year thou shalt celebrate a feast to me.

– Три раза в год устраивайте Мне праздник.

15 T hou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread, (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I have commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt; and none shall appear in my presence empty;)

Справляйте праздник Пресных хлебов. Семь дней ешьте хлеб, приготовленный без закваски, как Я повелел вам. Делайте так в установленное время месяца авива, потому что в этом месяце вы вышли из Египта. Пусть никто не приходит поклоняться Мне с пустыми руками.

16 a nd the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labours which thou hast sown in the field, and the feast of in-gathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labours out of the field.

Справляйте праздник Жатвы, когда собираете первые плоды посеянного вами в поле. Справляйте и праздник Сбора плодов в конце года, когда убираете с поля весь урожай.

17 T hree times in the year all thy males shall appear in the presence of the Lord Jehovah.

Три раза в год все мужчины должны приходить поклоняться Владыке Господу.

18 T hou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.

Не приносите Мне жертвенной крови вместе с чем-либо, приготовленным на закваске. Жир от праздничных приношений нельзя хранить до утра.

19 T he first of the first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

Лучшее из первых плодов земли приносите в дом Господа, вашего Бога. Не варите козленка в молоке его матери. Ангел, посланный приготовить путь

20 B ehold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place that I have prepared.

– Я посылаю перед вами Ангела, чтобы защищать вас в пути и привести на место, которое Я приготовил.

21 B e careful in his presence, and hearken unto his voice: do not provoke him, for he will not forgive your transgressions; for my name is in him.

Будьте внимательны к Нему и слушайтесь Его. Не восставайте против Него; Он не простит вам отступничества, потому что в Нем – Мое Имя.

22 B ut if thou shalt diligently hearken unto his voice, and do all that I shall say, then I will be an enemy to thine enemies, and an adversary to thine adversaries.

Если вы будете слушаться Его, если будете исполнять все, что Я говорю, Я буду врагом вашим врагам и противником вашим противникам.

23 F or mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.

Мой Ангел пойдет перед вами и приведет вас в землю аморреев, хеттов, ферезеев, хананеев, хивеев и иевусеев, и Я погублю их.

24 T hou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their deeds; but thou shalt utterly destroy them, and utterly shatter their statues.

Не поклоняйтесь их богам, не служите им и не подражайте их обычаям. Сокрушите их и разбейте на куски их священные камни.

25 A nd ye shall serve Jehovah your God; and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take sickness away from thy midst.

Служите Господу, вашему Богу, и Его благословение будет на вашей пище и воде. Я избавлю вас от болезней,

26 T here shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days will I fulfil.

и в вашей земле не будет выкидышей и бесплодия. Я сделаю полным число дней вашей жизни.

27 I will send my fear before thee, and confound every people to which thou comest, and will make all thine enemies turn their back to thee.

Я пошлю перед вами Мой ужас и повергну в смятение всякий народ, против которого вы пойдете. Я обращу в бегство ваших врагов.

28 A nd I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

Я пошлю перед вами шершней, чтобы прогнать с вашей дороги хивеев, хананеев и хеттов.

29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year: lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

Но Я не прогоню их в один год – ведь тогда земля опустеет, а диких зверей станет слишком много.

30 B y little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou art fruitful, and possess the land.

Я буду прогонять их от вас постепенно, пока вас не станет достаточно, чтобы завладеть этой землей.

31 A nd I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the river; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, that thou mayest dispossess them from before thee.

Я проведу ваши границы от Красного моря до Филистимского моря, и от пустыни до Евфрата. Я отдам вам во власть жителей этой земли, и вы прогоните их от себя.

32 T hou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

Не вступайте в союз ни с ними, ни с их богами.

33 T hey shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me; for if thou serve their gods, it is sure to be a snare unto thee.

Не давайте им жить на вашей земле, иначе они введут вас в грех против Меня: служение их богам непременно станет для вас западней.
