1 A nd we turned, and went up the way to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, for battle at Edrei.

Потом мы повернули и поднялись по дороге к Башану. Ог, царь Башана, выступил нам навстречу со всем своим войском для битвы у Эдреи.

2 A nd Jehovah said to me, Fear him not; for into thy hand have I given him, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.

Господь сказал мне: «Не бойся его, потому что Я предал его в твои руки со всем его войском и землей. Сделай с ним то же, что и с Сигоном, царем аморреев, который правил в Хешбоне».

3 A nd Jehovah our God gave into our hand Og the king of Bashan also, and all his people; and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

Так Господь, наш Бог, отдал в наши руки еще и Ога, царя Башана, и все его войско. Мы поразили их, не оставив в живых никого.

4 A nd we took all his cities at that time: there was not a town which we took not from them, sixty cities, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Тогда же мы взяли все его города. Из шестидесяти городов не было ни одного, который бы мы не взяли, – вся область Аргов, царство Ога в Башане.

5 A ll these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides unwalled towns very many.

Все эти города были укреплены высокими стенами, двойными воротами и запорами, а кроме них было множество селений, не обнесенных стенами.

6 A nd we utterly destroyed them, as we had done to Sihon the king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, men, women and little ones.

Мы полностью истребили их, как сделали с Сигоном, царем Хешбона, истребляя каждый город – мужчин, женщин и детей.

7 B ut all the cattle and the spoil of the cities we took as booty for ourselves.

Но весь скот и добычу из их городов мы взяли себе.

8 A nd we took at that time the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites, that were on this side the Jordan, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon

Итак, в то время, мы взяли у этих двух аморрейских царей землю к востоку от Иордана, от потока Арнона до самой горы Хермон.

9 ( the Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir):

10 a ll the cities of the plateau, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, as far as Salchah and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

11 F or only Og the king of Bashan remained of the residue of giants: behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? its length was nine cubits, and its breadth four cubits, after the cubit of a man.

12 A nd this land we took in possession at that time. From Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and the half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;

13 a nd the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to half the tribe of Manasseh. (The whole region of Argob, even all Bashan, is called a land of giants.

Остальную часть Галаада, а также весь Башан, царство Ога, я отдал половине рода Манассии. (Вся область Аргов в Башане прежде была известна как земля рефаимов.

14 J air the son of Manasseh took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and called Bashan after his own name, Havoth-Jair, to this day.)

Иаир, потомок Манассии, захватил всю область Аргов до самой границы гешуритов и маахитов. Он назвал ее своим собственным именем, и до сегодняшнего дня Башан называется Хаввот-Иаир.)

15 A nd I gave Gilead to Machir.

Я отдал Галаад клану Махира.

16 A nd to the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the river Arnon, the middle of the ravine and its border, as far as the river Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon;

А рувимитам и гадитам я дал землю, что спускается от Галаада к потоку Арнону (с границей на середине реки) и к реке Яббок, которая служит границей аммонитян.

17 t he plain also, and the Jordan, and border from Chinnereth as far as the sea of the plain, the salt sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.

Ее западной границей был Иордан на иорданской долине, от Киннерета до Аравского моря (Соленого моря ), под склонами Фасги.

18 A nd I commanded you at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given you this land to take possession of it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all combatants.

В то время я повелел вам: «Господь, ваш Бог, отдал вам эту землю, чтобы вы завладели ею. Все ваши мужчины, способные сражаться, вооруженные для битвы, должны переправиться за реку перед вашими братьями израильтянами.

19 O nly your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle,—I know that ye have much cattle,—shall abide in your cities which I have given you,

Ваши жены, дети и скот (я знаю, у вас много скота) могут остаться в городах, которые я вам дал,

20 u ntil Jehovah give rest to your brethren, as well as to you, and they also take possession of the land that Jehovah your God giveth them beyond the Jordan; then shall ye return, each man to his possession, which I have given you.

пока Господь не даст покой вашим братьям, как и вам, и пока они не примут также во владение землю, которую Господь, ваш Бог, дает им за Иорданом. После этого каждый из вас может вернуться к владению, которое я вам дал».

21 A nd I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that Jehovah your God hath done to these two kings: so will Jehovah do to all the kingdoms to which thou shalt go.

В то время я повелел Иисусу: «Ты своими глазами видел все, что Господь, твой Бог, сделал с этими двумя царями. Господь сделает то же самое со всеми царствами, которые ты будешь проходить.

22 Y e shall not fear them; for Jehovah your God, he will fight for you.

Не бойтесь их, Господь, ваш Бог, Сам будет сражаться за вас». Моисею запрещено переходить Иордан

23 A nd I besought Jehovah at that time, saying,

В то время я молил Господа:

24 L ord Jehovah, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy powerful hand; for what God is in the heavens or in the earth that can do like to thy works, and like to thy might?

«Владыка, Господь, Ты являешь Своему слуге Свое величие и крепкую силу. Разве есть какой-нибудь бог на небе или на земле, который смог бы совершить такие же подвиги и великие дела, какие делаешь Ты?

25 L et me go over, I pray thee, and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

Позволь мне переправиться и увидеть благодатную землю за Иорданом – те прекрасные нагорья и Ливан».

26 B ut Jehovah was wroth with me on your account, and did not hear me; and Jehovah said to me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter!

Но из-за вас Господь разгневался на меня и не услышал меня. «Хватит, – сказал Господь, – не говори Мне больше об этом.

27 G o up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes; for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

Поднимись на вершину Фасги и посмотри на запад, на север, на юг и на восток. Посмотри на землю своими собственными глазами, потому что ты не перейдешь Иордан.

28 B ut charge Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land which thou shalt see.

Но наставь Иисуса, утверди и укрепи его, потому что он переправится во главе народа и разделит между ними землю, которую ты увидишь».

29 A nd we abode in the valley opposite to Beth-Peor.

И мы остановились в долине, рядом с Бет-Пеором.
