1 H ear this, ye priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ear, O house of the king: for this judgment is for you; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

– Слушайте это, священники! Вы, израильтяне, внимайте! Слушай, царский дом! Этот суд против вас, потому что вы были западней в Мицпе и сетью, раскинутой на горе Фавор.

2 A nd they have plunged themselves in the corruption of apostasy, but I will be a chastiser of them all.

Мятежники глубоко погрязли в распутстве, но Я их всех накажу.

3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, Ephraim, thou hast committed whoredom; Israel is defiled.

Я знаю все о Ефреме. Израиль не скрыт от Меня. Ефрем, теперь ты обратился к разврату. Израиль уже осквернен.

4 T heir doings do not allow them to return unto their God; for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they know not Jehovah.

Их поступки не позволяют им вернуться к своему Богу. В их сердцах дух разврата, они не знают Господа.

5 A nd Israel's pride doth testify to his face; and Israel and Ephraim shall fall by their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

Гордость Израиля свидетельствует против него. Израильтяне и Ефрем спотыкаются из-за своих грехов. Иудея тоже спотыкается вместе с ними.

6 T hey shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find: he hath withdrawn himself from them.

Когда они пойдут искать Господа со своими овцами и волами, они не найдут Его. Он удалился от них.

7 T hey have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have begotten strange children: now shall the new moon devour them, with their allotted possessions.

Они не верны Господу, потому что рожают незаконных детей. Теперь же их праздники Новолуния сами поглотят их вместе с их полями.

8 B low the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; cry aloud Beth-aven: behind thee, O Benjamin!

Вострубите рогом в Гиве, трубой в Раме. Поднимите клич к битве в Бет-Авене: «За тобою, Вениамин!»

9 E phraim shall be a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which is sure.

Ефрем будет опустошен в день наказания. Среди родов Израиля Я возвещаю то, что случится непременно.

10 T he princes of Judah are become like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

Вожди Иудеи стали как те, кто передвигает межи. Я обрушу на них Свой гнев, как поток воды.

11 E phraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because in selfwill he walked after the commandment.

Ефрем угнетен, поражен судом, потому что он намеревался следовать за идолами.

12 A nd I will be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

Я – словно моль для Ефрема, как гниль для народа Иудеи.

13 W hen Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his sore, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb; but he was unable to heal you, nor hath he removed your sore.

Когда Ефрем увидел свою болезнь, а Иуда свои раны, тогда обратился Ефрем к Ассирии и послал за помощью к великому царю. Но он не может вылечить тебя и не может исцелить твои раны.

14 F or I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah. I, I will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.

Потому что Я буду, как лев для Ефрема, и как молодой лев для Иудеи. Я растерзаю их на куски и уйду. Я унесу их, и никто не спасет их.

15 I will go away, I will return to my place, till they acknowledge their trespass, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

Потом Я уйду в Свою обитель, пока они не признают свою вину и не начнут искать Моего лица.
