1 A nd Moses went up from the plains of Moab to mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And Jehovah shewed him the whole land, Gilead to Dan,

Затем Моисей поднялся на гору Нево, с Моавской равнины на вершину Фасги, что напротив Иерихона. Там Господь показал ему всю ту землю – от Галаада до Дана,

2 a nd all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the hindmost sea,

все владения Неффалима, землю Ефрема и Манассии, всю землю Иуды до самого западного моря,

3 a nd the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm-trees, to Zoar.

Негев и всю область от долины Иерихона, города Пальм, до самого Цоара.

4 A nd Jehovah said unto him, This is the land that I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

Господь сказал ему: – Вот земля, которую Я клялся Аврааму, Исааку и Иакову, когда сказал: «Я дам ее твоему потомству». Я позволил тебе увидеть ее своими глазами, но ты не вступишь в нее.

5 A nd Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah.

И Моисей, слуга Господа, умер там, в Моаве, как и сказал Господь.

6 A nd he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-Peor; and no man knows his sepulchre to this day.

Он похоронил его в Моаве, в долине напротив Бет-Пеора, но и до сегодняшнего дня никто не знает, где его могила.

7 A nd Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

Моисею было сто двадцать лет, когда он умер, но глаза его не ослабли и сила не пропала.

8 A nd the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; and the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

Израильтяне оплакивали Моисея на Моавской равнине тридцать дней, пока время плача и скорби не прошло.

9 A nd Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him; and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Иисус же, сын Навина, исполнился духа мудрости, потому что Моисей возложил на него руки. Израильтяне слушали его и делали то, что Господь повелел Моисею.

10 A nd there arose no prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Jehovah had known face to face;

С тех пор в Израиле не было пророка, подобного Моисею, которого Господь знал бы лицом к лицу.

11 a ccording to all the signs and wonders that Jehovah had sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

Никто не превзошел Моисея в знамениях и чудесах, которые он совершил в Египте по слову Господню над фараоном, над всеми его приближенными и над всей его землей.

12 a nd according to all that mighty hand; and according to all the great terribleness that Moses had wrought in the sight of all Israel.

Никто не показывал такой великой силы и не совершал таких великих и страшных чудес, какие Моисей совершил на глазах у всего Израиля.
