1 A ye, my heart trembleth at this also, and leapeth up out of its place:

От этого сердце мое трепещет и бросается с места прочь.

2 H ear attentively the roar of his voice, and the murmur going forth from his mouth.

Слышите! Слышите гром Его голоса и грохот из уст Его!

3 H e sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

По всему поднебесью посылает Он молнии, посылает их до краев земли.

4 A fter it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency, and holdeth not back the flashes when his voice is heard.

Голос Его рокочет вослед, гласом величия Он гремит и не сдерживает зарниц когда голос Его услышан.

5 G od thundereth marvellously with his voice, doing great things which we do not comprehend.

Дивно грохочет Бог Своим голосом, Он творит великое – не постичь нам.

6 F or he saith to the snow, Fall on the earth! and to the pouring rain, even the pouring rains of his might.

Говорит Он снегу: «Пади на землю», – дождю и ливню: «Лейте сильнее!»

7 H e sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

Он прекращает труды каждого человека, чтобы все люди знали дело Его.

8 A nd the wild beast goeth into its lair, and they remain in their dens.

И уходят звери в свои убежища и в берлогах своих лежат.

9 F rom the chamber cometh the whirlwind; and cold from the winds of the north.

Из Его покоев приходит вихрь, и северный ветер приносит стужу.

10 B y the breath of God ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Дыханием Божьим творится лед и твердеют вольные воды.

11 A lso with plentiful moisture he loadeth the thick clouds, his light dispels the cloud;

Наполняет Он тучи влагой и молнии мечет из облаков.

12 A nd they are turned every way by his guidance, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the circuit of the earth,

Кружат они по воле Его над лицом всей земли, совершая, что Он повелит.

13 W hether he cause it to come as a rod, or for his land, or in mercy.

То приходят, как бич, покарать людей, то, даруя им милость, насыщают землю.

14 H earken unto this, Job; stand still and discern the wondrous works of God.

Выслушай это, Иов; подумай, как чудны Божьи дела.

15 D ost thou know how +God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash?

Знаешь ли ты, как управляет тучами Бог, как блестит зарницей из облака Своего?

16 D ost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge?

Знаешь ли ты, как уравновешены облака, знаешь ли чудеса Того, Кто познанием совершенен?

17 H ow thy garments become warm when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

О ты, кому жарко в своей одежде, когда замолкнет земля перед южным ветром,

18 H ast thou with him spread out the sky, firm, like a molten mirror?

ты ли вместе с Ним распростер небеса твердые, словно литое зеркало?

19 T each us what we shall say unto him! We cannot order by reason of darkness.

Научи нас, что нам Ему сказать, мы не в силах найти слова из-за тьмы.

20 S hall it be told him if I would speak? if a man say, surely he shall be swallowed up.

Сообщить ли Ему, что хочу с Ним говорить? Но кто себе желает смерти?

21 A nd now see not the light as it gleameth, it is in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them.

Никто не может взглянуть на солнце, когда оно блестит в небесах, после того, как расчистит их ветер.

22 F rom the north cometh gold; with +God is terrible majesty.

С севера грядет блеск золотой; Бог приближается в страшном великолепии.

23 T he Almighty, we cannot find him out: excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice, he doth not afflict.

Всемогущий – мы не можем Его постичь, силой и правдой Он велик, праведностью богат, никого не угнетает.

24 M en do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

Поэтому люди боятся Его, разве не боятся Его все мудрые сердцем?
