Job 37 ~ Job 37

1 A ye, my heart trembleth at this also, and leapeth up out of its place:

Na konei ano wiri ana toku ngakau, maunu atu ana i tona wahi.

2 H ear attentively the roar of his voice, and the murmur going forth from his mouth.

Ata whakarangona tona reo e papa ana, te pakutanga hoki e puta mai ana i tona mangai.

3 H e sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

4 A fter it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency, and holdeth not back the flashes when his voice is heard.

I muri iho ko te reo e hamama ana; papa ana te whatitiri o te reo o tona nui; e kore ano era a tauhikuhiku ina rangona tona reo.

5 G od thundereth marvellously with his voice, doing great things which we do not comprehend.

Ko ta te Atua whatitiri he reo whakamiharo; nui atu ana mahi, e kore hoki e mohiotia.

6 F or he saith to the snow, Fall on the earth! and to the pouring rain, even the pouring rains of his might.

E ki ana hoki ia ki te hukarere, Hei runga koe i te whenua; ki te ua punehunehu ano hoki, raua ko te ua ta o tona kaha;

7 H e sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

8 A nd the wild beast goeth into its lair, and they remain in their dens.

Haere ana nga kirehe ki nga piringa, noho ana i o ratou nohoanga.

9 F rom the chamber cometh the whirlwind; and cold from the winds of the north.

Puta mai ana te tupuhi i te whare o te tonga: te matao hoki i te hauraro.

10 B y the breath of God ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11 A lso with plentiful moisture he loadeth the thick clouds, his light dispels the cloud;

12 A nd they are turned every way by his guidance, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the circuit of the earth,

E whakakopikopikoa ana ano a tawhio noa, he mea hoki na ona whakaaro: hei mea i nga mea katoa e whakahaua atu ana e ia ki te mata o te ao:

13 W hether he cause it to come as a rod, or for his land, or in mercy.

E whakaputaina ana e ia hei whiu, hei mea ranei mo tona whenua, hei atawhai ranei.

14 H earken unto this, Job; stand still and discern the wondrous works of God.

15 D ost thou know how +God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash?

16 D ost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge?

17 H ow thy garments become warm when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

18 H ast thou with him spread out the sky, firm, like a molten mirror?

Ka taea ranei e koe te whakatakoto ngatahi me ia te rangi hei papatupu, ano he whakaata whakarewa?

19 T each us what we shall say unto him! We cannot order by reason of darkness.

20 S hall it be told him if I would speak? if a man say, surely he shall be swallowed up.

21 A nd now see not the light as it gleameth, it is in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them.

22 F rom the north cometh gold; with +God is terrible majesty.

E ahu mai ana i te hauraro te aho ano he koura; kei te Atua te kororia whakawehi.

23 T he Almighty, we cannot find him out: excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice, he doth not afflict.

Ko te Kaha Rawa, e kore ia e taea te whakataki e tatou; hira rawa tona kaha; a e kore ia e tukino i tana whakarite whakawa, i te nui o te tika.

24 M en do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
