1 А оце священики та Левити, що прийшли з Зоровавелем, сином Шеалтіїловим, та з Ісусом: Серая, Їрмея, Ездра,

And these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

2 А марія, Маллух, Хаттуш,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3 Ш еханія, Рехум, Меремот,

Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

4 І ддо, Ґіннетой, Авійя,

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,

5 М ійямін, Маадія, Білґа,

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

6 Ш емая, і Йоярів, Єдая,

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,

7 С аллу, Амок, Хілкійя, Єдая. Це голови священиків та брати їхні за днів Ісуса.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkijah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

8 А Левити: Ісус, Біннуй, Кадміїл, Шеревея, Юда, Матанія, головний над славослов'ям він та брати його.

And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren;

9 І Бакбукія та Унні, їхні брати, були навпроти них на сторожі.

and Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them as watches.

10 А Ісус породив Йоякима, а Йояким породив Ел'яшіва, а Ел'яшів породив Йояду,

And Jeshua begot Joiakim, and Joiakim begot Eliashib, and Eliashib begot Joiada,

11 а Йояда породив Йонатана, а Йонатан породив Яддуя.

and Joiada begot Jonathan, and Jonathan begot Jaddua.

12 А за Йоякимових днів були священики, голови батьківських родів: з роду Сераїного Мерая, з Їрмеїного Хананія,

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, chief fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 з Ездриного Мешуллам, з Амаріїного Єгоханан,

of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 з Меліхового Йонатан, з Шеваніїного Йосип,

of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 з Харімового Адна, з Мерайотового Хелкай,

of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 з Іддового Захарій, з Ґіннетонового Мешуллам,

of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17 з Авійїного Зіхрі, з Мін'ямінового та з Моадеїного Пілтай,

of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin Moadiah, Piltai;

18 з Білґиного Шаммуя, з Шемаїного Йонатан,

of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

19 а з Йоярівового Маттенай, з Єдаїного Уззі,

and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20 з Саллаєвого Каллай, з Амокового Евер,

of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

21 з Хілкійїного Хашавія, з Єдаїного Натанаїл.

of Hilkijah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.

22 Л евити, голови батьківських родів, були записані за днів Ел'яшіва, Йояди, і Йоханана, і Яддуя, а священики за царювання Дарія перського.

of the Levites, the chief fathers were recorded in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, and the priests, until the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 С ини Левія, голови батьківських родів, записані в Книгу Хронік, і аж до днів Йоханана, сина Ел'яшівового.

The children of Levi, the chief fathers, were recorded in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

24 А голови Левитів: Хашавія, Шеревія, і Ісус, син Кадміїлів, та брати їхні були навпроти них, щоб хвалити та славити за наказом Давида, Божого чоловіка, черга за чергою.

And the chief Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

25 М атанія, і Бакбукія, Овадія, Мешуллам, Талмон, Аккув, придверні, сторожа в брамних складах.

Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were doorkeepers keeping the ward at the storehouses of the gates.

26 В они були за днів Йоякима, сина Ісуса, сина Йоцадакового, та за днів намісника Неемії та священика вчителя Ездри.

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

27 А в свято освячення єрусалимського муру шукали Левитів по всіх їхніх місцях, щоб привести їх до Єрусалиму справити свято освячення та радости з похвалами, із піснею, цимбалами, арфами та з цитрами.

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to hold the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, cymbals, lutes and harps.

28 І позбиралися сини співаків та з округи навколо Єрусалиму та з осель нетофатян,

And the children of the singers were assembled, both from the plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites,

29 і з Бет-Гаґґілґала, і з піль Ґеви та Азмавету, бо співаки побудували собі двори навколо Єрусалиму.

also from Beth-Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves hamlets round about Jerusalem.

30 І очистилися священики та Левити, і вони очистили народ, і брами та мур.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates and the wall.

31 І повводив я Юдиних зверхників на мур, і поставив два великі збори славословників та походи, з них один пішов праворуч по муру до Смітникової брами.

And I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great choirs and processions, on the right hand upon the wall towards the dung-gate.

32 А за ними йшов Гошая та половина Юдиних зверхників,

And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

33 і Азарія, Ездра, і Мешуллам,

and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

34 Ю да, і Веніямин, Шемая, і Ірмея.

Judah and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

35 А з священичих синів із сурмами: Захарій, син Йонатана, сина Шемаї, сина Маттанії, сина Міхаї, сина Заккура, сина Асафового,

and of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

36 а брати його: Шемая, і Азаріїл, Мілай, Ґілалай, Маай, Натанаїл, і Юда, Ханані з музичними знаряддями Давида, Божого чоловіка, а вчитель Ездра перед ними.

and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe before them.

37 А при Джерельній брамі, навпроти них, вони йшли ступенями Давидового Міста, входом на стіну над Давидовим домом і аж до Водної брами на схід.

And at the fountain-gate, and over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water-gate eastward.

38 А другий збір славословників ішов ліворуч, а за ним я та половина народу, зверху по муру вище башти Печей та аж до Широкого муру,

And the second choir went in the opposite direction upon the wall, and I after them, and the half of the people, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even to the broad wall;

39 і від Єфремової брами та до брами Старої, і до брами Рибної, і башти Ханан'їла, і башти Меа, і аж до брами Овечої, і спинилися біля брами Ув'язнення.

and from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the gate of the old, and above the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even to the sheep-gate; and they stood still in the prison-gate.

40 І стали обидва збори славословників біля Божого дому, і я, і половина заступників зо мною,

And both choirs stood in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;

41 і священики: Ел'яким, Маасея, Мін'ямин, Міхая, Елйоенай, Захарій, Хананія з сурмами,

and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 і Маасея, і Шемая, і Елеазар, і Уззі, і Єгоханан, і Малкійя, і Елам, і Езер. І співаки співали, а Їзрахія був провідником.

and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud; and Jizrahiah was their overseer.

43 І вони приносили того дня великі жертви та раділи, бо Бог порадував їх великою радістю. І раділи також жінки та діти, і аж далеко чута була радість Єрусалиму!

And that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

44 І того дня були попризначувані люди над коморами для скарбів, для приношень, для первоплодів та для десятин, щоб зносити в них з міських піль законні частки священикам та Левитам, бо радість Юдеї була дивитися на священиків та на Левитів, що стояли!

And at that time men were appointed over the chambers of the treasures for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions assigned by the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests, and over the Levites that waited.

45 І вони стерегли постанови свого Бога, і постанови про очищення, і були співаками та придверними за наказом Давида та сина його Соломона.

And, with the singers and the doorkeepers, they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David of Solomon his son.

46 Б о віддавна, за днів Давида та Асафа, були голови співаків та пісні хвали й збори славословників для Бога.

For of old, in the days of David and Asaph, there were the chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgivings to God.

47 І ввесь Ізраїль за днів Зоровавеля та за днів Неемії давав частки співацькі та придверничі, щодня належне, і освячував це Левитам, а Левити освячували Аароновим синам.

And all Israel, in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, every day what was needed, and they consecrated things for the Levites; and the Levites consecrated for the children of Aaron.
