Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.
2 M y God, in Thee I have trusted, Let me not be ashamed, Let not mine enemies exult over me.
My God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 A lso let none waiting on Thee be ashamed, Let the treacherous dealers without cause be ashamed.
Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
4 T hy ways, O Jehovah, cause me to know, Thy paths teach Thou me.
Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.
5 C ause me to tread in Thy truth, and teach me, For Thou the God of my salvation, Near Thee I have waited all the day.
Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 R emember Thy mercies, O Jehovah, And Thy kindnesses, for from the age they.
Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
7 S ins of my youth, and my transgressions, Do not Thou remember. According to Thy kindness be mindful of me, For Thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.
8 G ood and upright Jehovah, Therefore He directeth sinners in the way.
Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way:
9 H e causeth the humble to tread in judgment, And teacheth the humble His way.
The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.
10 A ll the paths of Jehovah kindness and truth, To those keeping His covenant, And His testimonies.
All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 F or Thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Thou hast pardoned mine iniquity, for it great.
For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 W ho this -- the man fearing Jehovah? He directeth him in the way He doth choose.
What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way he should choose.
13 H is soul in good doth remain, And his seed doth possess the land.
His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 T he secret of Jehovah for those fearing Him, And His covenant -- to cause them to know.
The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.
15 M ine eyes continually unto Jehovah, For He bringeth out from a net my feet.
Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.
16 T urn Thou unto me, and favour me, For lonely and afflicted I.
Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
17 T he distresses of my heart have enlarged themselves, From my distresses bring me out.
The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;
18 S ee mine affliction and my misery, And bear with all my sins.
Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.
19 S ee my enemies, for they have been many, And with violent hatred they have hated me.
Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me cruel hatred.
20 K eep my soul, and deliver me, Let me not be ashamed, for I trusted in Thee.
Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.
21 I ntegrity and uprightness do keep me, For I have waited Thee.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 R edeem Israel, O God, from all his distresses!
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
